We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. United Kingdomn/a - we literally loved everything!
Absolutely sensational stay at Riad Dada Messouda! A picturesque little oasis tucked away in the vibrant chaos of the old town. The riad is beautiful and welcoming, but what truly sets it apart is Hicham, a total legend! He went above and beyond, helping me pull off a birthday day full of surprises for my wife and treated us with incredible warmth and generosity from the moment we arrived. This place has heart. 100% recommended, a true hidden gem! p.s: was really nice to meet you Hicham, thanks for everything! <3

The hospitality of the owners was truly wonderful – they are kind, friendly, and extremely helpful. The Riad is small and located in a lively area, but it’s quiet at night. They took care of everything: picked us up at the parking area outside the Medina, helped carry our bags, and prepared a delicious dinner. Dinner needs to be booked in advance, but it’s absolutely worth it. We had a chicken tagine – the best we had during our entire 12-day trip through Morocco. The rooftop terrace is also a lovely, relaxing place to spend some time.

United StatesThe location was not my favourite, it is a bit of a walk from the parking lot/taxi drop-off. Public parking is not free, although quite cheap (approx. $3 a day).
Beautiful oasis in the middle of the chaotic medina market. Very nice staff. Beautiful terrace with a nice area for relaxation. Rooms are a bit small but they made the best out of the old riad. Nicely decorated too.

TunisiaWe had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful riad in Marrakech! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. A special thank you to Ibrahim, who was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready with a warm smile and great tips for exploring the city. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a generous variety of fresh and delicious options that gave us the perfect start to each day. The location is fantastic — close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing once you step inside the riad. One of the highlights of our stay was Messoud, the riad’s adorable and very special cat. He brought so much joy and charm to our time there — we truly fell in love with him! Highly recommend this riad for anyone visiting Marrakech. We’ll definitely be back!

United KingdomThe highlight of our trip. This stunning riad provided a secure calm escape from the amazing madness of this city. Helpful friendly staff from start to finish. It began to feel like home. The breakfasts were superb, truly. Fresh oj, fruits, home made breads and pastries and eggs. With great coffee. Our stylish room was large with a great bathroom / wet room, kept fresh daily. A lovely rooftop to relax in. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the main square which was fine for us as it was all part of the experience. An opportunity to see the real Marrakesh. Amazing value and we will be back.

United KingdomNot too much of an issue for us but the bathroom has no separate door to the bedroom. My husband didn’t think the bed was too comfortable but it was fine for me. One thing we would have liked to have known is all the extras we had to pay for like the taxis, lunch and waters we had to pay in cash. We assumed we could pay on card so we had to go out and get extra cash. Not a major issue but good for people to know.
We had such an amazing stay at Riad Dada. I cannot express how helpful and friendly the staff were. We organised our airport transfer through them and because of the location when we arrived as far as we could by taxi, Hisham came to meet us to take us to the Riad. What a hidden paradise it was. We had the most amazing lunch (the best meal we had all trip) and our room was ready early. There was nothing that the staff wouldn’t help us with. The Riad is about a 20min walk from the main square/Souks which can be quite tricky to navigate but once we did it once we knew the way and it was easy to find. It was a great location to be able to walk everywhere….if you can easily walk 20/30mins in one direction. For us we spent the trip walking around the media stopping at all the rooftop bars eating the amazing Moroccan food. When coming home at night Ibrahim was always there, again offering us anything we needed and served us the most amazing breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated and we really felt like part of the family. Thank you so much, I would recommend this place to anyone.

United KingdomMaybe the weather on our first day - it rained! But only for less than an hour, and our hosts provided us with umbrellas, so it was all good. Can't think of anything else!
We had an amazing time at Riad Dar Dada. It is well located, near enough to get to the sights easily, but just far enough away from the touristy area to be in the real Marrakech. Right from the start, communication with Hicham and Fatiha was excellent. We were warmly welcomed in this gorgeous riad - which is much more like a home than a hotel, and a peaceful paradise after a day in the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The rooms were very comfortable and overlooked the beautiful courtyard. The interior was exquisitely decorated and very detailed, with nice traditional places by the little pool to sit and sip tea. The pictures are true to reality. Breakfast (included) was superb, with traditional pastries and pancakes, sauces, omelettes, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee. All served by the lovely Brahim. Fatiha also does a great dinner with special local dishes - it was the best food we had during our stay. Hicham organised airport transfers guided tours and more - nothing is too much effort for him. Our stay was great value for money, a really lovely experience, and we warmly recommend it!

IrelandWe were in a home away from home. Truly. Hicham was ever so available, approachable, accommodating, flexible, kind and helpful. Halima was our cook who made fresh food every day - every day there was a different spread for breakfast. She made bread fresh daily. She prepared amazing Tagine for a special celebration of our daughter's birthday. Cooked chicken soup for us when baby wasn't feeling well. I can't recall the cleaners name, but she was always fixed with a smile on her face, organises and cleans our room daily. All of them, go out of their way to make it extra comfortable for us. They decorated the room fancifully to celebrate our daughter's birthday too! every little detail was thoughtfully and soulfully considered - it was a beautiful experience.

IrelandNothing to say here honestly. My positive review above says all you need to know!
Team at Riad dar DaDa are impeccable. From the second you get out of the transfer around the corner you are shown such a warm welcome and thoughtful considerate hosting. I cannot speak highly enough of Hicham and his colleagues for the care and attention they afforded us throughout the stay. Above and beyond on many occasions including Hicham physically chasing down taxis to a restaurant when his usual driver had car trouble. I can imagine most hosts just give us directions and leaving us to it. Truly feel like our stay was the most important and that is an amazing quality of a guest house/Riad. The homemade food was delicious including breakfast and the Riad itself magical. Its hard to describe the homey feeling you get when you walk into the Riad from the streets outside but its a feeling of utter calm and tranquility, with atmospheric candles and the trickle noise of the water feature, and of course the smiling facings of Hicham and team. Its simple amazing. The rooms also have a lovely authentic and homely feel. Exactly the type of Riad you should seek out when staying in Marrakech. Lastly the location. I don't believe you can fault an accommodation based on location. Its not fair because its the one thing you know for sure before you go and if you do your research you choose a location that suits your needs. Riad dar DaDa is located in a very quiet area of the old town about a 10 minute walk to the start of the busier shopping areas and a further 8-10 min to the main square. You should know this before booking so I hate when people mark down a review on that basis. It can be a little culture shock for the first few minutes walking the street around the Riad but you very quickly feel immensely safe and comfortable in this very local area, getting to see a glimpse of more local life and kids playing that you wouldn't see if you stayed more central.
