I honestly can’t think of anything that could be improved upon.

The whole riad is beautiful and we loved being inside the Medina yet still away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, but by far and away the best thing about Riad Dar El Souk is its staff. Fatima’s cooking is so good it quite literally brought tears to our eyes (my husband was born in Casablanca and he said he hadn’t tasted food like hers since his mother passed away). Aside from which, they took care to make me an incredible vegan dinner I will never forget! Thank you all for making our stay so special. We truly felt that you treated us like family.

I liked that every one was friendly and helpful , the Riad was pleasant in a very good location easy to reach every attraction and very close to to Medina square , the place was quite and the rooftop was lovely to relax What could be better may be the hot water takes a little time to come out , but once come is very hot

Gorgeous little riad with an exceptionally friendly, helpful staff. Quiet and well-located near the dropoff point in the Mellah quarter, about eight minutes' walk from Jemaa el Fna, the main square in the medina.

The riad itself was nice, in good location and decent price. However there were some issues with attitude of staff and maintenance, but we solved together and the rest of a stay was pleasant.

Zachariah went out of his way to make sure we had a comfortable stay, even making us breakfast twice earlier than regular, giving us great information and greeting us with a friendly smile. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean. The hotel is in a good location in the mellah quarter close to restaurants and attractions. We had a great stay

We had a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Everyone was so welcoming. Abdul and the team were so helpful and always had a smile. The breakfast every morning was delicious and kept us going all day! The bedroom was huge and the bed was very comfy. The location of the Riad was perfect. Close to two big squares and walking distance to everything within the Medina. The Souks were only a few minutes walk away too. I would highly recommend Dar El Souk to anyone wanting to visit Marrakech and anyone wanting to get the full traditional experience.

All staff were amazing, very helpful with places to visit, prices to pay & restaurant recommendations, always happy to help & always asked how we were & how our day had been! The Riad itself is beautiful although a little run down, the shower in our room had to be used by hand as it wouldn’t securely stay on the showerhead holder above. The menu states food all day everyday, however when we asked for a light lunch of panini they said they weren’t serving food, which was disappointing! The WiFi didn’t work for a day or so but the staff worked hard to restore this problem, no alcohol is served here also! The breakfasts were lovely & you could choose to eat them wherever you wished. The bed was solid however we had a surprising amazing sleep! All in all we absolutely loved our stay & would definitely return.

This is a charming Riad with plenty of places to sit outside of the rooms, which are as delightful as pictured. The roof area is a lovely place to linger. The staff are very helpful and breakfast is filling and tasty. This is a good choice.

Everything!! Our room was lovely with a sitting area outside our door. We all agreed that the rooftop was our favorite spot, a lovely place to take breakfast or to sit in the sun after a long day winding through the souks. Great location , a 15 minute walk to most everything in the Medina. Best of all were the staff. We really can’t say enough, they’ll make your stay incredible! Zakaria greeted us upon arrival and we immediately adored him. He was filling in briefly for Abdullah Youssef who truly is an absolute gem. After moving on to a riad in Fes that was less than stellar, we sat at dinner and actually spoke of missing the staff at Dar el Souk!! Book this place immediately!!

It was run down. There was peeling paint in the bathroom and mold on the bathroom walls, also the bed was too big for the room and not enough space to move down one side

What a beautiful Riad, this exceeded my expectations! A beautiful, traditional building, with the most welcoming, friendly, kind and knowledgeable staff. The Riad Dar el Souk is placed inside Marrakech Medina convenintly close to one of gates. at walking distance from the main monuments and the souks. The location is fantastic and the food (breakfast and one dinner for our family) is excellent. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, and they really got out of their way helping us organize guided tours to the city and to the desert of Agafay. I strongly recommend a stay at Riad Dar el Souk if you are visiting Marrakech.

We didn’t get a first good impression. The place does not look like the photographs. It doesn’t seem the owner has been on top of the upkeeping of the place. It does not deserve the 4 stars it claims to have.

Nothing springs to mind!

A lovely friendly Riad in a great location close to both the main square (Jemaa El Fnaa), the Souks and some of the sights like the Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs. Staff were very helpful and both the rooms and the breakfast were excellent and exactly as we expected.
