Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandBeds was kinda hard
It was a really nice riad, clean and cozy. Nice rooftop where we had breakfast which was really nice. Area less touristy than other place we stayed at an we preferred Abelia. Shared a mint tea with Walid when I checked in at the rooftop getting some good tips about what to do in Marrakech/Morocco which was a really nice first impression, thanks! :)

GermanyI waa travelling with my parents (71 years old) and felt very welcome. We were granted a 1pm early check in and tee upon arrival. I also booked the airport transfer and everything was smooth. Special thanks to Waleed who was always willing to help my parents with their requests. Breakfast was also very good and with different options on the two days.

CanadaWe had a wonderful stay in Abelia Riad. Spotlessly clean, very attentive staff, beautifully decorated rooms, a nice dining area, and rooftop terrace where we watched the sunset. Waleed made us very welcome; Soufiane was super helpful with phone arrangements when we had to call our credit card company; and we were well looked after by the housekeeping/cooking staff. A good location just inside the gates to the Medina. Would definitely come back if we’re in Marrakech again.

United KingdomWifi signal was poor at times and dropped out
Lovely small riad in the medina. An oasis of calm from the hussle and bussle outside. The host Youssef. is very kind, attentive and welcoming. Quick to respond to any requests and always checking guests are comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and bed perfect night's sleep. The riad is secure with a night porter available to let guests in and out. Breakfast was tasty, coffee, bread, jam and honey along with porridge, omelettes and freshly made crumpets or crepes. The housekeeping staff are great. Walking distance to the main square and Madrasa Ben Youssef is around 25 minutes - be confident in the local streets and you will be fine dodging the motorbikes that whizz past. A truly local authentic experience. A taxi service back to the airport is available (can pay by credit card) with reasonable rates - the driver will pick up from the gates at the city wall around 5 minutes walk from the riad

United KingdomWe would have liked to have eaten dinner at the property, but the only dinner options was a 30 euros per person banquet. This looked very nice, but personally we would have preferred if there was also a smaller cheaper option, however there are a plethora of places to eat out nearby in the Medina.
We enjoyed our stay at Abelia Riad - Waleed was a very welcoming host who went above and beyond to help us make the most of our stay, giving us recommendations, directions, and wisdom about Moroccan culture. Our room was spacious, clean, and with a heater which we appreciated during colder March evenings. The Riad is in the Medina so only a short walk from the Jemaa El Fnaa square, the souks, and historical attractions. We appreciated being able to return to the peace and tranquillity of the Riad with it's views over the city and the Atlas mountains after fun busy days of sight seeing.

United KingdomA beautiful, welcoming riad, located in a great spot in the Medina. The rooms were traditional and authentic, and the communal areas were lovely to relax and speak with other guests. Waleed (the concierge), was wonderful and really made our stay! He made us feel instantly welcome with his friendly, yet professional approach. He made us traditional Moroccan tea on arrival (and throughout our stay), and gave us lots of insight into the city and recommendations of places to visit. We found this very helpful as the medina can be an overwhelming place, so was great to feel like we had local insight and a friendly face to put us on the right path for the duration of our stay.

United KingdomWe loved this Riad and the team were so attentive and helpful. The surroundings were beautiful and we enjoyed the room on the roof terrace which gave us extra private space as well as being able to use the rest of the facilities available. Coming into the Riad after a day of walking around Marrakech was fabulous and cool with all the natural light pouring into the central atrium. It was glorious and thank you all for a fabulous stay.

United KingdomNothing, we had a great experience staying here!
Beautiful riad, very clean and traditional in style with lovely tiles everywhere. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and very generous! Lovely roof terrace with a view of the mountains. The riad is very close to a well lighted street with plenty of activity and easy to find. Less than 5 minutes walk from Bab Aylen gate for taxi or excursion drop off or pick ups which was helpful. 15-20 min walk to Djemaa El-Fna or the northern souks. You can take taxis, but we didn't bother because even walking 45 minutes to Jardin Majorelle was such an interesting walk it didn't feel long at all.

BelgiumWe had a wonderful stay at Riad Abelia. They recommended nice activities, restaurants and had a lot of good tips. Not only was the accommodation nice & clean, but we were treated so well. Waleed, who has become a real friend, always took care of us. Wether it was in the morning, evening or even when we came back at night… Whatever you need, Waleed is the right person 😉 We would 100% recommend and hopefully our paths will cross again!

We had a wonderful stay at Abeila Riad. It was a beautiful place, rich with Moroccan tradition and perfect for our 3 day stay in Marrakech. Walid and his team made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was delicious and you could tell all the ingredients were fresh. The rooftop had a lovely view and was a tranquil place to relax after a day in the old town, which was about a half hour walk from the riad.
