Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaStaff/logistics could be much better. Aside from Youssef (who was great), we felt very uncomfortable with how we were made to feel with the check in and payment process where we were chased with payment and had our breakfast interrupted (though in fairness, they did ask if we were finished but what could we say) before a day trip as we were asked to make payment for our rooms despite having one more night before check in. This made us feel very uncomfortable, like the staff were worried we were going to run away without paying. If the team were really desperate for payment ahead of checkout, this situation could have been mitigated if the check in process was more efficient - we were left sitting in reception with no one asking anything further as staff continued talking and welcoming other guests.
Lovely property in a decent location about 15 minutes taxi from the medina. Great hot shower and comfortable room. Breakfast was also decent buffet of the standard fare. Youssef was fantastic.

United KingdomThe area was a long way from the ancient medina. Booking.com site etc talk about the Medina, but you should note that the modern Medina is a fairly long way (2 miles) from the ancient medina that everyone wants to visit. Traffic can be bad. Taxi is best but it's a hassle and there is nothing in the modern medina area of any interest except modern cafe's serving ice-cream and crepes + burgers. All very european / american, which is not what most 'travellers' to Morocco are looking for, in my opinion.
Nice breakfast - more than enough. Lovely staff - the girls were also extremely helpful. Beautiful grounds and historic building - an oasis in what is actually a modern part of Fez. Room was fairly small but adequate, and very pretty traditional decor.

The host was brilliant. Made us so welcome. Felt like we were staying with a friend! We had a lovely apartment so lots of space and lead onto a courtyard. Wish we could have stayed longer!

SpainLow intimacy, the room is not isolated from the noise outdoors so it can feel a bit unintimate specially when there are people outside but also when you're at the toilet for example what can be a bit annoying ;-D
The house was wonderful, with a really nice garden and pool. I loved all the constructive details and the house is well-placed. The employees of the guest house were really helpful and friendly specially when it came to a special situation due my ill my partner.

New ZealandYou really need to drive from the property rather than walk, to explore.
A beautiful quality Riad, with an outdoor pool and lovely garden areas. They accommodated my request for a quiet room and it was great. A lovely oasis. Breakfast was served outside. Free Parking on the street outside the property.

SpainThe Riad is in the centre of the Ville Nouvelle, which offers the chance of a relatively calm place to which to return. However, one needs to take a taxi to get to the Medina (although this is cheap and not difficult) and there is some street noise.
This Riad is beautifully decorated. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are attentive and pleasant. Breakfast is served in a lovely garden with roses.

New ZealandOur bed was very hard, breakfast was not great (eggs undercooked, breads and cakes very tough) compared to other places we have stayed.
Property is beautiful and very well maintained. Our room was lovely with our own bathroom and air conditioning. Staff were very friendly and helpful even with the language barrier. I really appreciated them doing our laundry after our stay in the desert. Having not been to Fes before, I thought I was booking a Riad in the old city. This Riad is in the new centre and is about a 50 minute walk or 15 minute taxi to old Medina.

NetherlandsThis is a general comment, not perse for the riad, but Morroccan beds are a bit hard. I prefer a bed on the softer side
The riad was really beautiful; everything little detail was thought of. The staff is incredibly lovely, thoughtful and sweet. The riad is placed in ville nouvelle, which was perfect for us to get away from the hustle and bustle during the day in the medina.
