Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLoved the heated pool. The bungalows were beautiful and very nicely decorated with super comfortable beds. The landscaping is very attractive and well maintained. The restaurant food provides reasonable choices and all very tasty. Easily accessible from main roads.

United KingdomNothing to not like
Have stayed here many times and everything is always exceptional. Relaxing peaceful rooms, friendly and kind team always there to help, large warm pool, great jacuzzi with hydrotherapy jet shower, extensive menu with Moroccan and French classic dishes, easy 50 min drive from Agadir Al Massira airport. Love the families of tortoises and terrapins in the garden and the amazing array of plants, trees, cacti and succulents labelled with their species names. Good base to explore the tranquil south of the country - we travelled as far as the Chegaga dunes near M’Hamid for a one night stay at a desert camp and a slow drive through the Anti-Atlas to Tafraoute for lunch and back for a picturesque day trip stopping at Ait Hassain on the way for mint tea and in Tiznit for dinner on the way back. Looking forward to our next trip.

United KingdomWe've just returned from a week's stay at the Dar Zitoune. It's a wonderful place to relax. We didn't have anything planned (we had been to Taroudant before so we didn't need to tick off the sights as such) and were more than happy to relax around the pool. The jacuzzi pool was a nice added touch. We also loved the food, sometimes we had lunch, sometimes we skipped and opted just for dinner. Although the dinner menu is smaller than the a la carte lunch menu, it changed daily, and we still found there was enough choice. The accommodation (garden bungalows) were comfortable and full of character....be warned, there is quite a drop to the shower floor, which might not suit anyone with limited mobility. The staff are what makes this place so special though, they were all so helpful, super friendly and charming and it seemed a team effort. Everyone plays their part. Well done to all at the Dar Zitoune.

United KingdomNothing at all.
The design, the heated pool, the individual room units with very comfy beds, the staff, the breakfast and dinner, the wine list, parking - the list of features is endless. Infinitely superior to a riad in the medina in my experience. We had a medical emergency on the day we were there and the manager Mneme(?) produced a wheelchair and organised a doctor to visit within half an hour. Unbelievable service. We will return.

United KingdomNeither the air conditioning in my room nor the electric heater gave any heat and it's cold at night in February.
The location just outside Taroudant, the peaceful setting (although close to the main road), the lovely garden (the swimming pool would have been nice in a warmer season) and a comfortable room with outdoor sitting area looking onto the garden. It has a good restaurant.

United KingdomSome visitors might find it too remote in the oasis - off tarmac drive for quite a way. Find for us
Fabulous site deep in this enormous palm and olive oasis. Tranquil. Relaxed. Real taste for how villages like these adobe mud houses are. Very friendly welcome. Easy to reach gorges of faded river and other local sites.

United KingdomThe breakfast could have offered fruit and been a bit more imaginative even recognising that it was offered as a Continental breakfast. However, this should not detract from otherwise excellent hotel.
Very well appointed hotel with super helpful staff. The dinner was excellent and the facilities around the pool very pleasant. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed.

This is, by all means, a five-star hotel. I wouldn’t say it’s a luxury five-star hotel by American standards, but for me, it’s much better. The place is nicely situated in the old town of Taroudant. The minute you step in, you are welcomed by very warm staff who present themselves as a family to you. It is a one-level hotel, thus handicapped friendly. The rooms are individually arranged as small villas with outdoor seating. There are two swimming pools. The restaurant is close by and serves high-quality food; the menu is relatively small but more than adequate. Breakfast is excellent, with local food and freshly squeezed juice. We are very thankful for Zacharia and Moustapha—they were exceptional. I happened to get sick with food poisoning (nothing to do with their food), and Zacharia came from home at 3:30 am, took me to the hospital, waited with me for several hours, then went to pick up medications from the local pharmacy. The next morning, he brought a doctor and a mobile clinic staff who administered treatment in my hotel room. Mustafa was outstanding in many different ways, checking on me several times. The entire staff was also wonderful, asking about me many times. Highly recommended—I will certainly come back on my next visit with the family.

United KingdomThe only thing that let it down is on the night we stayed they had 2 large groups eating dinner so we were not offered the Ala Carte menu. The fixed menu was poor and forced upon us. This was really disappointing as we specifically chose this hotel for the restaurant.
Beautifully laid out in lovely gardens. We stayed in the Berber village with lovely swimming pool. Everything was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and keen to help. Lunch menu was fantastic, with great wine choices. It was a welcome treat after having toured rural Morocco and eating traditional cuisine so a switch to French was lovely.

NetherlandsIt was not possible to eat from the card. We do not know why. Instead of that there was a fixed French menu. That was a bit strange and also not communicated beforehand. But the food was good. And the staff did everything to get things right for us. They served our food at our tent and that was quite nice.
The garden is magnificent. So beautiful, like a botanic garden. We stayed in one of the Berber tents and that is a very nice experience. The Berber tents are situated around their own swimming pool. And are very spacious. Good bed also and a nice bathroom. Through this hotel we booked a quide who took us for an 4 hour hike in the Anti Atlas. That was a great experience. We also went cycling in the city with this same quide Mustapha. To be recommanded.
