We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Wonderful riad tucked into an alleyway. The decorations and coloring were beautiful.

AustraliaThe wifi was a bit up and down, but this might have just been Morocco - it was even worse at the conference I went to. I would recommend getting a local SIM - I got one from Maroc telecom for 70 dirham (about 10 AUD) and the data speed was fine.
I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Riad Dollar Des Sables. Claude contacted me several days ahead to organise a car from the airport. The driver Youssouf was excellent and got a porter to accompany me the rest of the way to the Riad from the edge of the Medina (the old town). This turned out to be essential as there was absolutely no way I would have found it on my own. The Riad itself is in the midst of the bustling chaotic souks, yet is an incredibly quiet oasis once you're through the door. It's a beautiful old building with a lovely central courtyard and spa (typical of traditional Moroccan mansions or Riads, the history is interesting) and a terrace on the top floor. The staff at Riad Dollar Des Sables were incredibly helpful, warm and friendly without exception. A special mention goes to Ali, the lovely, gentle humble man who works nights and who welcomed me so warmly on the first evening after a long, exhausting journey. The breakfasts are delicious with different traditional Moroccan breads each day such as msemen, baghrir and batbout. Also, the salade Marocaine I had on the first night was so good I had one with every meal subsequently, but none were as delicious as that one that Ali made me. I really had a smooth and stress-free stay at Riad Des Sables, it's a lovely place in a fantastic location. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Thailandsince the room was on the terrace we had a little noise from people eating on the terrace one night however when we asked them at 11 pm to lower the voice they went back to their rooms. the next morning we were woken up by people on the terrace so i will suggest dont take that room or know that noise can happen. the fact that we couldnt pay with card so we had to get cash on us which I dont like especially in heavy turistic locations
beautiful riad hidden in the medina. the staff was so nice and friendly and the breakfast very tasty and very local and fresh baked. we had the pleasure to book a couscous royal for friday and we were lucky to enjoy it on the terrace of the riad. we enjoyed a nice massage there. The riad is really in a great location because so close to the main square however don't expect to be drop by taxis there, you have to walk there as no access to cars so pack light. however find this to be the charm of the hotel as really a hidden gem

United Arab EmiratesApproach to the entrance is complicated and dark at night. You’ll need a torch on your phone to walk the last patch. Also pool is 1.5x3m in size - looks great but I don’t think usable.
Location is basically just next to the main market in the Medina - very central! Nice local staff. Stylishly decorated. Nice terrace.

United KingdomReally would help if they accepted card payment on site. As a solo traveller I am loath to carry large amounts of cash, and i would have rathered the ATM charges I paid went to all the individuals who made my visit so special.
Staff, room, terrace, breakfast all wonderful. The porters, Amina and the girl working in the spa were all so lovely. Hammam and massage was fabulous. Do take up the offer of transport to the Riad from the airport or wherever. The entrance is very tucked away and tricky to find initially.

United KingdomInstructions on how to find this Riad are given but it is very hard to find. We got dropped off by taxi at the far end of the medina (cars can't get any closer) and then got a guy with a cart to take our bags (and us) to the Riad. Best £8 we paid all trip!!! Whilst accommodation can be paid by card, Any extras and local taxes have to be paid for by cash. This is not made clear when booking.
Fantastic Riad right in the middle of the medina. The staff are fantastic. Had a lovely relaxed welcome with Moroccan tea before being shown to our room. The room was small but cozy with a good sized shower/toilet room. Bed was cozy and aircon worked well. (You will need it in summer). There is a lovely roof area to chill and relax in. We sat there most evenings and enjoyed a beer. It is surprisingly quiet especially as you are deep in the medina breakfast is served on the ground floor next to the small plunge pool. Lovely breakfast with local breads and delicacies. Although you are in the middle of a thriving market, the Riad feels extremely safe and secure. No one enters without the door being opened by the staff. The owners were away when we visited but the 2 guys running the Riad were absolutely amazing. So helpful. Thank you.

United StatesLocation is excellent but can be tricky to find. A detailed map and more signs along the way would be great additions for visitors. We found it ok but took several wrong turns along the way.
A beautiful little Riad tucked away inside the the city. The hosts spoke mostly French but communication was totally fine. The room is cozy and the original Riad details are beautiful. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. We didn’t eat at the Riad but other visitors seemed to enjoy hanging out on the ground floor. The rooftop is also excellent. For the price it’s highly recommended.

SpainI liked the fact that the location of the riad is very central, close to everything by foot. Breakfast was fantastic in the patio area, and the most important, coming from a hotel background myself, the staff were exceptional, very welcoming and attentive. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending here to anybody that wants to go to Marrakech.

This was my first time in Morocco so i wanted to experience staying in a Riad. I am so grateful i came across this whilst searching! The minimalistic décor with its own characteristics throughout the riad was beautiful, as riads tend to be quite small the colours used throughout didn't give it a claustrophobic feel. What can i say about the staff, they are kind, attentive, always there to help and make you feel at home. This is situated a few minute walk from Jama al fna which is the main market square, there a two small alleyways you have to pass as you leave the riad which are quiet and kind of dark at night but we had no problems. There is also a very cute terrace which is nice for a wind down. I would highly recommend this Riad.

United KingdomWe were received by Edouard, who I imagine is one of the owners, very friendly, attentive and concerned about our well-being. The Riad is easy to locate, safe and very nice and cozy. Our room was very big, it exceeded our expectations. Riads don't have windows to the outside, so don't expect to find a window with a view from your room, it's normal as it's part of the culture. Amina is the heart of the Riad, very kind and dear, although she doesn't speak English, she does everything to serve you in the best way. Breakfast simple but very good, we had dinner once and the food was excellent. Overall, we would definitely stay again, without a doubt.

GermanyOnly one negative thing to mention, that it is not even related to the riad. It is a bit difficult to find it, as google maps locates the accommodation not to the exact place (100 meters of difference, but during the peak moments in medina, it is a bit stressful). To be easier, please follow the map that is published in booking from the owners and it gives the acccurate location.
A very well designed riad, in the heart of the ancient medina. The atmosphere was so relaxing. The property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm. The staff at this property are all great. They were friendly and they were interested to know how our stay was going. The owner, mr Edouard was very helpful and was able to recommend places for shopping and get any type of meal that we needed as well. Would definitely send a friend there.
