Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt is a family run property and you can tell they put a lot of love and time into the preparation and looking after the guests. We loved the design of the Riad and its layout as well as the rooms. Breakfast was delicous and a fantastic rooftop for watching sunrise.

Everything! Riad Gallery 49 is a wonderful place with a great team. With their kindness and hospitality, I really enjoyed my first visit to Marrakesh and had a relaxing holiday. I love the Riad and their team, you will feel a welcoming atmosphere throughout the place. I had breakfast and dinner every day at the riad, they were cooked delicately and delicious. Also, I experienced hammam, massage, and a cooking class there. Each experience was excellent, I will never forget the time I had with them.

SpainThe road leading to the riad can be confusing and does not look good but the riad itself is stunning.
The family running it was extremely friendly, very good service, and clean. The riad was beautiful. We did a cooking class which was amazing.

United KingdomWe booked airport transfer with the hotel, the Riad is five minutes walk from the main road and someone collected us from the main road. Probably very easy to get lost so would recommend booking airport transfer directly with the hotel too
Beautiful Riad in close walking proximity to everything, staff very communicative prior and during stay, never seen without a smile on their face, breakfast/mint tea and biscuits was phenomenal, staff pay very close attention to detail to make your stay extra special. One of the best places we stayed, would strongly recommend to anyone who visits Marrakesh and wants a truly traditional experience

Everything was perfect; family room, staff and breakfast. The room was very clean and smelled good. It is in the center of the city, so it is more difficult to reach by car. We parked a few minutes away. It was safe. The surroundings of the hotel is also safe and calm. Thank you for a wonderful stay🙂

United StatesThe pictures and description do not do it justice. Very cozy sanctuary in an otherwise busy city. The staff are all very friendly and go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and have everything they need. The hammam and massage offerings are extensive and the food is…well…absolutely delicious. Well done!

Austriathe only tiny thing maybe - if you are staying as a couple the room might be small for 2 bigger luggages .. but I am sure that the staff would figure something out for you that you feel comfortable at any time :)
very clean, super comfortable, staff is extremely nice and welcoming. I felt like staying at my family or friends house. very cosy atmosphere! I would also strongly recommend to enjoy either lunch or dinner at the Riad at least once - taste & quality of the food was amazing! I had dinner there several days and I loved it. Also the breakfast offers everything that you need and you can enjoy it on the beautiful terrace :)

TurkeyA bit hard to find the exct location but ladies come and pick you up whereever you are.
It was an amazing experience, breakfast was served with local tastes and the time is set upon your request. I would like to thank Ghizlane who runs the hotel and also Zara, Hatice & the lady who cooks for us. Location seems a bit unsafe at first sight but it just reflects the soul of Marrakech. We were two young women travelling alone and had no problem with the location even we came after dark. The thing I loved about the property is the women power and they don’t charge you for extra mint tea, pastries of coffee break.

Switzerland- The room was not very sound-proof, and outside noise disturbed my sleep on a couple of nights. - No TV in the room. - Room was a bit small for my liking (also the w/c and shower were a bit small). Everything included, the room was probably 2m X 4m.
Riad: I stayed there for 4 nights. It is located in the Medina (old town) of Marrakech, in a neighborhood where the streets are too narrow for cars. Someone from the Riad came to meet me at the point where taxi dropped me, and she led me to the Riad. Later she again showed me how to go from the Riad to the main square of the city (Jemaa El Fna). Very kind of her to do that. (I think, this happened because they also organized a private transfer for me from the airport, for the price of Eur. 20. For the convenience, the price was worth it.) The building is compact, but quite nice, and very clean. The Riad is about a 20-25 min. walk from Jemaa El Fna. Room: I asked for a room for a single person. The bed was large enough, but there wasn't space around the bed, so I would say the room was a bit small for my liking. There was a basic cupboard for clothes and things, and a couple of side-tables. The room included a w/c and shower area, and had a tiled floor. The room, cupboard, bed-sheets and towels were very clean, and changed every 2 days. The Riad provides wi-fi Internet access in the rooms. My room was air-conditioned. Breakfast: Seemed like a traditional Moroccan breakfast. It was a bit different every day, and the hosts, very kindly, adapted the breakfast to my tastes. It was sufficient and delicious every day. Meal: I had lunch at the Riad one day; it was a very well cooked 3-course meal, for Eur. 25. They served it in a small but very nicely decorated dining room. Also, every day when I came back in the afternoon after wandering about in town, they brought me some snack and mint-tea. Great touch! Hosts: Very kind, very attentive, and very helpful. Overall: I was happy with my stay there, especially because of the kindness staff and host there. I wish I could give it a higher score. I have marked it 7/10 mainly because, in my opinion, the room was a bit basic compared to other places where I have stayed.

PolandPlace almost impossible to find, taxi doesn’t get there. We spent more than 30 min looking for the place on dead end streets. No sign suggesting which way we should go. Streets around the hotel are small and dodgy, pretty scary for 2 girls walking. Really unpleasant. Arriving in the evening and nobody knew who we were, no English speaking person at the hotel, no reception. Almost impossible to communicate in other language than Arabic. Hotel is quiet, too quiet, no life there at all. Lovely but not my type.
Lovely place, nice original style, Madame Fatima and ladies in the kitchen were very nice and friendly.
