Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt has seen better days. I don’t feel any effort is put in to improve things. Compared to our riads in Rabat and Tangier, this one was a lot worse. The beds are very hard. The hardest we’ve had in 4 places in Morocco. Uncomfortably hard. At around 3pm both afternoons the young guy working the front desk would sit outside or at the desk with his cell phone music playing ridiculously loud. We were trying to rest in the afternoon and that was annoying. No way to take a nap. There are young men that staff the desk and only one seemed to care about anything. Also one of them smelled like marijuana. Sat outside on a chilly rooftop for 30 min one morning just trying to find one of these young guys for breakfast. Larger room we had had a sewer odor coming up through the sink or shower drain, which was gross. I wouldn’t stay here again. Compared to the other Rabat and Tangier riads where I would. But also Chefchoauen just felt like a run down dirty city where the folks in the old city just didn’t seem to care much. Maybe that’s the laid back hashish culture. Checking out is was 341 euro or $360 or so US dollars. It had to be paid there at checkout. Card reader was down. I had to spend over 10 min debating the bill as he wanted $440 in US dollars which was the wrong conversion, despite booking.com showing the price in both Euro and USD.
Well located. The women that clean there did a good job.

GermanyEven though it is written on booking, there is no parking and also if it’s a busy day, there is no parking in the vicinity. We had to walk 15min in the heat uphill. The room wasn’t ready on arrival even though we came in the late afternoon.
The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was really good.

QatarWe stayed in loft type room on the first floor. Toilet is just right above our beds which you cant even close the toilet door properly. This gives foul odor to the entire room. The room smells like toilet. There’s a lot of flies. The shower is not working. We asked the staff to fix it as we decided to stay extra night but it was not fixed.
Location is in the center. Staffs are nice. Rooftop has a great view.

MoroccoThe price was high for the quality of the room! I also didn't like that the first room they gave us was very small and it had no access to internet at all!! And the shower was not hot in it!! After we complained, they offered us a better room but we had to spend the first night in the previous one and it was not pleasant AT ALL!!!!!!!
Very close from the center and old medina, it's just a 5 min walk from there. The old style adopted in decoration was so amazing and it would please foreigners a lot!

BelgiumOur room (the 2p room) was quite small, but the bigger issue was the bad acoustics. We could hear everything happening in the street and in the Riad as our room was next to the patio. The room had several windows to street but the curtains were also quite transparent so we woke up because of the noise and because of the amount of light coming in.
Good location in the Medina of the city. The Riad itself was nice and tidy. One of the men working there was really nice and helpful!

CanadaCould have been cleaner. The unit i was in was tidy, clean bedsheets etc. But the bathroom had a bad smell and there was hair on the counter and shower when I showed up. One day for breakfast they didnt wipe the table from people before and had coffee spills and crumbs, smudge marks on coffee pot which they reused for me.
Excellent location. Friendly hosts. This is a no-fuss riad. I liked that they left me alone, I was able to relax.

United StatesWe didn't get hot - not even warm ! - water in the shower. For some reason there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom which stank the whole room. Linens (bed sheets and towels) didn't feel clean and seemed 'tired'.
Very helpful staff, super friendly and accomodating. Quick response, not quick resolution though Breakfast was great, you need to ask for additionals, but eventually will get them

Saudi ArabiaIt was extremely worn down. The shower head holder fell off the wall. The bedding was stained, dead bugs on the floor, sink faucet was falling off. Most importantly there was awful. it cut off every 3-5 minutes. I ended up using all my data.

ChinaThe Worst ever hotel I stayed in, just imagine climbing more than 135 stairs up and down, personally I consider not mentioning this fact in the hotel description is Not being honest with your customer, they should mentioned it at least to warn people with specific medical condition. As they asked me to call the hotel for help with the luggage upon arrival, they should mention that there is too many stairs to climb. It is unprofessional behavior from the hotel owner. Never think about staying in this hotel . The room was not clean upon arrival since I found a cockroach inside the room ( photo is attached) , the bathroom needs improvement. The staff were not helpful when I asked to cancel my reservation and they were really mean. Unfortunately I had already paid them in full before arrival. The hotel is located outside the old city and you need at least 20 minutes to get to the city center. Really not recommended with people with limited movement and special needs. The furniture was old and not to the extend of expectations. The parking also is not available and expect to be overcharged. .

Netherlands-When we arrived the staff tried to give us a very small budget room while we booked a suite. After I checked my booking and complained they gave us the room we booked. They tried this scam even though the hotel was far from full. -They said breakfast was from 8:30-10. However at 8:30 there was nobody around, the lady who made breakfast came in around 9am. At 9:15 we went to the kitchen on the first floor to ask where breakfast was. At 9:45 the guys running the place got up and served breakfast. -The shower head in the room was missing, and there was no hot water
The breakfast -when it finally came- was fresh and nice.

United KingdomWe had an incredible stay at this riad! The location and design were absolutely amazing, offering a true Moroccan experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I have to give a special shoutout to Ibrahim, who catered to our every need with a warm and welcoming smile. The riad was a peaceful retreat, just a pleasant walk away from all the Medina's attractions. It felt like a home away from home, with its friendly atmosphere. And, not to forget, the breakfast was delightful. I highly recommend this riad for an unforgettable stay in Marrakech!
