Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom a little claustrophobic and smaller than it looks on the photos Mattrass very hard Light outside the bedroom window stays on all night so that is distracting for a good night's rest

NetherlandsMany of the room and hotel facilities weren’t up to standards, available or as advertised. For instance, our room didn’t have a bath (something I really wanted), and after showering, the whole bathroom floor was wet. Moreover, our room was adjacent to the lobby, and doors were thin. We could hear everything that was going on in the lobby, and I figure people in the lobby could hear everything going on in our room as well. We asked to switch to a more private room (and said we didn’t mind to have a smaller one) but the only room still available reeked of sewage.
The staff is so nice and friendly, the housekeeping was excellent. Also, it was nice stay outside of the bustle of the Medina.

GreeceThe photos showed a pool in the courtyard which doesn’t exist in reality. There was plenty of noise at night from the other guests on the roof or in their rooms. Getting to Riad Goloboy involved an 8min walk from the nearest main road, and walking through two construction sites with muddy alleyways.
The staff at Riad Goloboy were super helpful and lovely. The design of the Riad was stunning and comfortable. The massage in the spa room was excellent and masseuse very kind. Our room was spacious, with a gorgeous Moroccan design and kept clean.

United KingdomThe shower didn’t have good pressure and temperature. The location is not good so I don’t get why they charge so much for room.
The rooms are spacious and the Riad pool area is so quiet and relaxing. The staff are all excellent and helpful, so was house keeping. Lovely breakfast and rooftop.

AustraliaThis property needs in upgrade and refresh - the location is ok for the Medina but the interiors would have once been nice are now tired. The air conditioner didn’t do much in the blustering heat. There was a smell from the drains and the pool is enclosed by a glass ceiling so provided no respite from the heat but was more of a glass house!

United StatesThe pictures are misleading. Location is bad. You have to walk for a very long time down several alleys to get there. Our taxi driver couldn’t find it. It felt dirty and not nice.
We had to leave very early to catch our flight and staff made sure they were available to help us with our bags as it’s a very long walk to the street.

United KingdomThere was no pool as pictured and described on booking.com, which was disappointing as it was quite warm during our stay and we would have loved a dip. Our room opened right onto the stair case in the main reception room, so there was little privacy. during the mornings the staff shouted up and down the stairs and/or children were running around so we didn’t get much peace. It is also a little walk outside the centre, so at night it wasn’t the most pleasant walk home, I would not recommend for lone women.
The riad was beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff were lovely.

LatviaFirst of all you have know are you claustrophobic or not. If you are a bit, then forget about Riad hotels, because there are no windows to the outside area, only to the inside house. We booked 1 night in standard rooms, and it was pretty scary, because these rooms have so small windows with a view to stairs, that you feel trapped in a small room without windows with air-conditioning. I would not recommend booking these rooms. Other 2 nights we booked 1 Suite room and 1 Luxus room, but I cannot say that it differed a lot from standard one, except for a Suite which had a corridor with a small bench and a view to the swimming pool. But rooms need renovation, especially bathrooms, where water did not go away, the curtain was already starting to mold, also walls and our rooms on the ground floor both stanked of sewage. Luxus room was so small that even 2 of our cases did not have a space. What was funny, after swimming or having a shower there was not place were to put and dry our towels. Also, lighting design is very inconvenient in the room when you have ceiling light and strange wall light, but not normal small light at the bed as it normally should be. To get to this Riad is pretty tricky thing. If you have never been in Old city it is tough to find a hotel, because you have to go through narrow streets with a very rough cover. Your luggage can suffer a lot. So always call and ask hotel people to meet you outside street labyrinths to help you with luggage delivery.
This Riad has a cute design as a boutique hotel, but need some repairments—a beautiful area of a swimming pool in one of the houses and a quiet terrace with neighboring peacocks. Very friendly service people always helping if possible. They were caring about super nice breakfast on the roof top terrace with always fresh orange juice, salads and pastries. The hotel is very quiet for relaxing although it is in the middle of the city and small streets. The swimming pool at night was beautiful. Wifi was very good.

United StatesThe location is a little out of the way for most activities in Marrakech. Additionally, I would not recommend the airport transfer that the hotel offers - it is much more expensive than what you can get from a cab (even if the cab driver tries to rip you off). Additionally, we booked an airport transfer with the Riad on our way out for 5:10 AM since we had an early flight, and the Riad failed to organize the cab. we came down in the morning and were informed that no driver was coming. This was a little frustrating, given that I had specifically asked for it at the front desk in advance. However, the staff did help us catch a cab instead.
The staff was kind, and rooms were cleaned everyday. The beds were also comfortable, and the room looked nice.

PortugalDespite the room being comfortable and clean, we found it to be very small. The Riad is located inside of a neighbourhood and you can’t access it by car, having to walk for about 5min every time you want to leave or get to the Riad. Sometimes at night, you might not feel very safe doing that walk.
The Riad staff was very nice and helpful. The Riad was very clean, and the room was very comfortable (suite). it’s very close to the Medina (10min walking)

NetherlandsSome things are really impractical, ie no windows and rather complicated door which made it too difficult to let the daylight come through the door. we thus stayed in a rather dark room. airco is noisy, rooms are not well isolated but the hotel is quiet. too bad the water in the swimming pool was too cold to swim.
Pretty design, super friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast

Switzerlandthe state of the place. seems a bit run down in places. needs repair and the terrace was very dusty with quite a few broken parasols. looked a bit neglected. also very poorly insulated, we could hear the couple next door as if they were in our room. in terms of service it would be good to have better informed staff at the ryad during the weekend as they could not tell us where to find good morrocan patisseries in Marrakech, which I believe is a basic…
the service, the staff, the room, the pool. the service in particular was excellent, very considerate staff

IrelandRiad is in a series of little alley ways leading in from a main road, you might get a fright the first time but its not that bad once you get used to the location. I dont mind they cleaned our room but they kind of also packed away our clothes and other items we had left out back into our suitcases!!! shouldnt really touch anything thats left out other than the bed linen. I left make up in the toilet and it was put back into my toiletry bag!!
Stunning Riad for photos....but i missed the hotel/resort amenities

NetherlandsThe first night in Marakech we stayed in a different Riad which we experienced a bit better in terms of hospitality. This feld less as 'a home', more as a hotel. Didn't interact much with the personell which was different than we expected.
Location was nice. We just got back from climbing the Toubkal and wanted to relax a bit. Great room with a very large bathroom. Nice original details in the Riad as well.
