Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

It was lovely relaxing homely atmosphere with typical morrocan architecture and lovely rooftop terrace with views all over the city . Very close to the central market square, but also relaxing and quiet . Iyoub was an excellent host providing unlimited advice , hospitality and mint tea. He arranged tours , taxis and provided advice on how to explore Marrakesh and visit a Hammam. Breakfast was lovely and consisted of various Morrocan breads , omelette, fruit, juice and cake .He cooked us a lovely evening Morrocan feast in the Riad and also advised on places to eat in the city.

United KingdomEverything was perfect.
The hospitality was amazing, from the minute we walked in to when we left. As mentioned in the other reviews, Ayoub was a brilliant host. He assisted us with everything we needed, went out of his way to make us a specific breakfast, he made us mint tea as and when we asked. He sat with us and spoke like he was one of our long lost friends. The riad was amazingly clean and traditional. It had all the facilities that were required. Comfortable beds and avery traditional bathroom. It is located about 3-4mims walk to Bahia Palace. The souks are also about 7-8mins walk.

United KingdomThis not really a complaint, perhaps just an observation of some cultural differences. If you are used to European /American standards of customer service, you may find the Moroccan hospitality experience a little slow, multitasking doesn't seem to be favoured, so things often arrive one at a time and in their own good time! However, as we settled in and dropped our expectations, we soon grew accustomed to the gentler pace of North African life and maybe even learned something about patience and gratitude for what we have and receive. Also, those more accustomed to being ignored in shops and the fixed-price sales method, may find the near constant bothering and invitations to haggle a bit much. It is novel at first, but even my wife - who enjoys getting a bargain - eventually found it annoying as it actually made buying gifts a bit stressful. Again, these are cultural differences and not complaints, but perhaps something to consider if you have have not been to Morocco before. 🙏
The riad staff - Ayoub and Ismael- were excellent; very attentive, friendly and full of great suggestions for local places to visit, eat etc. ❤ Location is good, 15 min walk down narrow streets to Jemaa el Fna (main square), although keep your eyes open for mopeds whizzing past! 🏍 Nothing was ever a problem at the Riad, superb hospitality and kindness from everyone there. The accomodation is simple, functional and comfortable; often a welcome retreat from the intensity of downtown Marrakech. Breakfast was delicious: local breads, juice butter, jam, Amlou (an argan and peanut butter) fruit, yoghurt, eggs, coffee and wondeful crepes. We really enjoyed our stay at Riad Imilchil. Many thanks to all the staff there 🙏

They are kind, they want to connect with you, they helped us with late booking, booking extracurricular activities, dining, and even walked us to the square. They speak so many languages, it’s incredible. If you’re looking for somewhere safe, with kind hospitality- look no further than Riad Imilchil!

United KingdomThe Internet could be improved upon as it was not that strong in our suite. Perhaps as a result of the location.
I love the Imilchil staff. They're quite lovely, helpful, and made our stay remarkable, especially Ayub and Mohammed. The ambience was lovely, and the breakfasts were served at appropriate temperatures. Meals were good, and all our requests were granted. We felt at home and would visit again.

United KingdomNothing. It really was a wonderful stay.
This was like staying at a wonderful home away from home. Our hosts (Mohammed and Ayub) were so welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay fantastic. The chicken tangine that we had at Riad Imilchi was also the best meal throughout our stay in Morocco (better than any restaurant we went to). I would strongly recommend eating in at least once during your stay here.

United KingdomWe had a wonderful, wonderful time here. The location: just a short walk from the souks but in a quieter area (we were glad to escape the craziness and come back here to relax). The staff: Nordin, Ayoub, and Mohamed took such great care of us, it really felt like we had a home in Marrakesh. The value: the riad is simple but well kept and feels like a real guest house. I'd go back here in a heartbeat. The team's hospitality and kindness really turned our stay from good to wonderful.
