Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyAt the time of our stay they only accepted cash payments. Other than that there is really nothing to complain about.
If I have to highlight something it is clearly the staff, that really made us feel at home. They were really helpful: they offered good recommendations of places to visit and things to do. Our return flight was very late at night and they even let us store the bags until then and also arranged the airport transfer. The riad itself is beautiful, clean, and facilities work as you would expect. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. The location is also quite nice: next to the Bahia palace, it is inside the Medina but still near one of the main roads, so you won't have trouble getting transportation (most taxi drivers either charge an extra fee or directly refuse to enter the Medina). The main square of Jemaa El Fna is about 15 minutes on foot.

TurkeyThe hotel requested cash payment, and we were not informed about this before, which put us on a diffi ult situation. In this year, it is not acceptable that a tourşatic hotel is not accepting credit card. this needs to be fixed asap
Yazid is an amazing person, he is all in one, cooked, served, supported, even walked us to where we needed to go when we did not know the way. His friendship and smiling nice chat after our long days made our stay even nicer. Hotel is located in a very good location close to tourist attractions. although narrow and silent street made us worried at first, we saw in the second day that the city is amazingly safe for single woman travelling alone. we did never feel uncomfprtable even walking alone at night rooms are perfectly clean and Yazid’s breakfasts were very delicious

United StatesIt was an incredible experience, the location was spotless and the room was beautiful and very confortable. The breakfasts were very generous and catered to our special dietary needs. But best of all the welcome by the Riad staff was exceptional, from day one to our check out we were treated with so much grace, Mohamed, Imen, Nordin, Samia and Yazid were the best hosts one would want. They were very attentive to our needs and made our stay a true pleasure, they made us feel home far away from home. We highly recommend Imilchil to anybody looking for a true Moroccan experience.

Czech RepublicWe do not recollect any negative points about our stay.
The accommodation was really very cozy and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Hamid (owner) was really instrumental in planning our various trips both in Marrakesh and outside (Atlas mountains, Essaouira and Sahara dunes in Merzouga). My daughters were impresses by a Moroccan cooking class organized by Hamid's wife. We all can warmly recommend this small gem among Marrakesh riads.

United KingdomEverything was great. Can't really find anything that I didn't like. I highly recommend it.
Everything was absolutely brilliant. But the hospitality you get from the staff, especially Sami is just unbelievable. He was in every detail to make sure you feel at home at all times. From booking taxis to the airport, to always welcome ou back to the Riad after a long day with some tea ready, contacting the excursion people to make sure we didn't miss the pick up, arranging a lovely dinner in the Riad terrace for us. He went above and beyond at all times. Jalil, who always works there with Sami, is very attentive also and willing to help you with everything you might need. They really are an asset to the place. I can't wait to go back.

ThailandNot much to complain about. Better coffee would have been nice? But this is just hotel coffee. The rooftop smelled dusty from the blockers to prevent the wind which was not nice. Again, this is a tiny, and basically unavoidable detail in Morocco!
Just behind Bahia Palace and right next to the medina, Riad Imilchil is tucked away, deep down an alley. The riad is beautiful, quiet and peaceful with a big rooftop terrace area to relax on. You're about 5 minutes walk away from everything, the market, the medina etc. There's a pool with cold water to cool down in after exploring. The breakfast is super good too! The rooms are spacious, super clean and well designed, even got a gift on leaving.

SpainLiterally nothing. I loved staying there.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful, great location, the breakfast was DELICIOUS and the best part was the staff. They were so kind and warm and really wanted you to have a wonderful visit. We didn't get any tour guides and were a bit nervous about that, but the staff at the hotel made sure we were oriented in the city and also organized excursions for us.

United KingdomWe can’t say enough about this riad and Sami, the man making sure everything is running smoothly and all the guests leave with the best memories from Marrakesh. The owner and staff were truly excellent; Mohamed, Sami etc were the most hospitable people in Marrakesh ready to help and show us their beautiful country. Also Halima cooked us the best tajine in Marrakesh! We are leaving Marrakesh with a new friend and can’t wait to come back and stay in this riad again!

United StatesWe destested the fact that Booking com didn't make it EXPLICIT that we had to pay CASH for the room at arrival. Since credit cards are not accepted, our 2 nights' stay at Riad Imilchil was difficult and arduous. We had to find ATM machines and/or banks to get cash, -- the lines were long, the machines did not dispense enough cash, which necessitated several trips. This adventure spoiled the trip! The time wasted getting cash meant we enjoyed less of Marrakesh than we had planned. Please make it EXPLICIT in bold letters on your Booking site that Riad Imilchil ONLY accepts CASH, doesn't accept credit cards-- nor is the room paid in advance on the booking site.
We liked the breakfast very much. The amenities in the room were very good. The service was super attentive. Kamal and Ayul were absolutely wonderful. Riad Imichil is VERY lucky to have them tending to guests.

GermanyStaff were so nice especially Kamal, very helpful, the location is in the old city, near to all touristic areas, the breakfast was very good at the hotel, they change the menu a bit and it’s not every day the same, if the purpose is to live the traditional Moroccan architecture and not a modern fancy atmosphere, I definitely recommend it ! I don’t mind going there again!
