Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandI've been traveling for years and this was one of the friendliest places I've ever stayed. Great service, very helpful and professional. Relaxed atmosphere and very good conditions in the rooms, tasty breakfasts, excellent location. But most of all the people who work there!! They make this place

MoroccoEverything was good except in the first day the bed sheets where wet a bit and the room didn't smell good due to the rate of humidity in the city
The staff were very friendly kind and helpful. They show us where to eat, places to visit and activities to do.

PolandThe room was a bit small and dark. We were suprised that we couldn't reach the hotel by car. We had to leave it in a pay carpark as whole the medina is walk only area. It's a shame noone has informed us about it before we arrived.
Nice bed and breakfast located insde the closed medina. We loved the reception guy. His english was perfect and he has told us everything about the city and what was interesting there - what to see , where to eat. Also has encouraged us to try surfing what was really cool and let us stay a bit longer to be able to have shower after the surfing class. The breakfast was large and very nice!

Don't let the title fool you - this Riad is more like a boutique hotel with its beautiful decorations - not the simple décor I expected from a sports affiliated establishment. The bed was not as firm as our previous Riad which meant we got a great night's sleep (nice pillows). The room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. Location was perfect - not far from paid parking and all attractions. And, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A wonderful experience all around.

GermanyI think they would do great doing a make over of the showers and bathroom in general. They look nice but through high humidity there is a lot of mold - however, essaouira is humid and the hostel is very close to the beach which might make it More humid.
Nice atmosphere, perfect for adults travelers above 30, chilled but not hostel-like and also not like a fancy hotel vibe where you feel uncomfortable. You can hear the waves from The terrasse which is very nice

United KingdomNothing, really. Breakfast could have been a little more diverse if being really picky.
The room was beautiful in traditional moroccan style with a modern twist. The building was stunning, and the staff were exceptional. The guys at the riad were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and made you feel very much at home. The location was perfect, exactly what we wanted in the heart of the old city. It was extremely quiet, considering where we were based. Highly recommend

United KingdomBy no fault of their own the road outside my room had a few rowdy people out and about late at night but I closed the window and it kept the noise out mostly. Also my room was on the top floor-next to the rooftop and a few guests were chatting a bit loudly but went to bed before midnight so it was quiet after. I am however a light sleeper so this was just a small issue and would not bother most people. Everything else was great.
This was my first visit to Morocco. Spent 4 days in Marrakech and then took a bus to Essaouira. Getting off the bus a gentleman with his trolley helped me get to the Riad. Upon arrival another couple arrived shortly after me and we were all checked in together. We were met by a very friendly young man and he assisted us with a map and all the places that were recommended and also the places we wanted to see. I had a very short stay-basically 24 hours. I got a very comfortable room on the top floor. Shower was lovely and hot - bed was very comfortable. All other amenities were available. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. Coffee-fresh orange juice-omelette-toast-flapjacks with assorted jams. It was lovely and very tasty. Walking into the Riad you feel immediately comfortable and welcomed. Staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. Also very central in the Medina. Close to everything. I wish I had more time to stay but would absolutely recommend this Riad.

United KingdomThis does not deserve the rating and I'm disappointed with our stay. It was expensive for the quality of linen, bathroom and the rooftop was a shambles. It was damp (that's the Essaouria weather) but no heater so everything was damp in the room. We stayed in 8 other places across Morocco and this was our least favourite. We stayed in one place only half this price which was of a much higher standard.
Great location and super nice staff. Gave us all the information we needed. Breakfast was included and good, including an omelette.

United KingdomThe shower head needed to be replaced.... but the pressure and temperature were both very good, so this is a very minor detail.
As a family with young teens, this is a fantastic place to stay in Essaouira. The staff were so friendly and helpful, organising taxis and surfing for us. The location is very central but feels calm and relaxing as soon as you walk through the door. The decor was tasteful, the WiFi was strong in our rooms, and the breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend Riad Inna. Thank you!
