Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe room had no heating and was a bit uncomfortable because the weather was still cold.
All the staff namely, Soka, Abdul, Amin a d Ahmed were diligent, competent, courteous and friendly. The Riad was the largest and best maintained compared to the other Riads we stayed at in Morocco. Full Mark's too for location.

NetherlandsI spent five wonderful days with my family at Riad Jaouhara, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. The location of the riad is perfect, offering easy access to the heart of Fez while still providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. What truly made our visit special was the staff. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made sure all our needs were met. They can easily help with organising guided tours around Fez. I would highly recommend Riad Jaouhara to anyone visiting Fez – it's truly a gem.

United KingdomYou have to be let in every time you leave the riad and we felt bad coming home late but we understand that this may be a security measure. We were always let in with a smile though!
Beautiful riad and a true oasis in the heart of the medina in Fes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The photos of the Dekkakine Suite do not do the actual room justice. The level of detail in the tiling and carvings were incredible. We enjoyed the lofted bed, spacious bathroom, and the big windows that looked out onto the garden. Breakfast was delicious and each item was brought to us in lovely containers and tajines. After traveling around Morocco for a few a week, we felt like we could spend all day in the serene and lush courtyard.

United KingdomNo criticisms.
The staff were tremendously kind, friendly and helpful. This traditional Riad has been beautifully restored, and is comfortable yet characterful and atmospheric. The courtyard Garden is a wonderful place to have breakfast and relax. The Riad is in an excellent location, inside the Medina’s fascinating maze of pedestrian alleyways, near the iconic Blue Gate. It is quiet, and yet near enough to the outer walls so that one can access taxis, transport etc.

United KingdomShower head was broken meaning water sprayed everywhere. Considering we had two of the higher end suites for the two nights was slightly annoying. But at same time it's not that much of a problem.
Staff were super kind and welcoming, both on day and night shift. The rooms were pleasant and the main thing was the location was great. In the centre atrium provided a nice place to chill before going out into the city.

NorwayAll good :)
Riad Jaouhara was the perfect choice for our first trip to Morocco and Fes. We didn’t realize beforehand that motorized vehicles aren’t allowed in the medina, but luckily, this riad is ideally located just 50 meters from the entrance where cars can access. This made our arrival so much easier as we didn’t have to carry our luggage through the bustling streets. The medina itself is fascinating, though a bit chaotic with its labyrinth of over 9,000 streets. Thankfully, Riad Jaouhara is located near the main street, which made navigating much simpler, and everything we needed was within walking distance. Despite being so close to the hustle and bustle, the riad was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, even arranging our airport shuttle with ease. The rooms and suites are beautifully traditional, providing an authentic Moroccan experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Riad Jaouhara to anyone visiting Fes!

New ZealandAmazing peaceful oasis that makes you forget you’re on the door of the Medina’s bustling streets. Our room was huge and well appointed with a comfortable bed and good shower. It was so nice to relax in the room which seemed to block out any outdoor noise. The staff were very helpful and helped us with our luggage and car parking.

United StatesNot much. The courtyard has a pool but it doesn't look swimmable and there's a very sad looking elliptical. I wouldn't plan on swimming or exercising while staying here.
I had a great stay in this cozy and well-situated riad. For starters, the staff is extremely welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay at the hotel and in Fes as enjoyable as possible. The location is great, in my opinion, as it's on the edge of the medina so you're only a few steps away from the car roads, which is convenient for arrival with luggage and being picked up for day trips. The rooms are fairly spacious with a nice bathroom, a safe, fridge, a/c, and tv. And a delicious and plentiful breakfast is prepared for you each morning.
