Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyMaybe a better heating system would made the Riad more comfortable during cold days, but that can be very subjective.
This Riad has the most amazingly kind and helpful staff: They were there for us at every time of the day and they made us feel safe and spoiled. The location was also perfect: close to the blue gate, close to the two main streets of the Medina, but still (nearly) reachable by taxi. We definitely recommend this Riad!

Hong KongRiad is in a perfect location, a stone's throw from the blue gate at the top of the Medina. Staff were so friendly, they welcomed us like family and were so helpful. The courtyard was a peaceful oasis, the room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!

United StatesWe got the room on the highest floor because I wanted a nice view. When we thought of the stairs, we were lazy to go down and hang out in the garden. So it's my own choice, cannot blame the riad.
Beautiful garden in the Riad. The room was very spacious, high ceiling, airy and bright, but it could also be close to making it really dark for well sleep.

PortugalUnfortunately the terrace is not available for taking meals or a for a drink looking at the sunset over Fes. This is a pity as it has a superb view.
This is for sure one of the best riads available in Fes. The location close to the Blue Gate and the old medina is perfect. The breakfast is served in the quiet and beautiful inner garden and includes some marroco items. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Ali could not do more to make us feel more comfortable. The room and bathroom were lovely and very clean. This is certainly a place to stay when visiting Fes.

United StatesI stayed at the Riad Jaouhara for three nights and the visit was exceptional. The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive to our needs. They were also multi-lingual so communication was never an issue. The Jaouhara is in an excellent location, but still quiet and peaceful. I can recommend it without hesitatiion.

NetherlandsWhat an amazing riad! Beautiful hotel, amazing breakfast, lovely staff and an amazing location. Would recommend to anyone. Tip: ask them for shuttle service from the airport, we asked around and its the cheapest you can find. + If the wifi in the room isn't working please ask them. We thought it didn't work in the rooms which isn't unusual, but two days before we left it suddenly started working. The room next door probably asked! Not that we minded. the courtyard is beautiful and using internet there is no punishment.

United StatesPaid extra for a room with a “spa tub,” accurately showing pictures of a spa tub. HOWEVER, it never occurred to me that I should need to ask the following questions: 1) Does the spa tub turn on? (Answer…no, it’s not even connected, and thus has never turned on). 2) Is there sufficient hot water to fill the tub? (Answer…there’s barely enough hot water for 2 people to take short showers). 3) Is there any stopper for the tub? (Answer…no, because we don’t want people to try to use the tub). So, I can’t claim the photos were false. I just failed to imagine that the spa tub was simply decorative! Oy!
Property was very nice with one MAJOR flaw

Hong KongThe room has a slight odor and poor ventilation. It's probably the smell of wood or furniture. Additionally, the window faces the street, so there might be some noise at night. The stairs to the upper floor are very narrow, so you need to be extremely careful when moving luggage.
Location is good, easy to find, 2mins to blue gate.

AustraliaSo many (47) stairs to get to our room - my fault, I should have worked that out when booking. It would be good though to have that made explicit when booking the upper rooms. I was never clear on why you needed to go downstairs (47) to get a key to get entry to the roof terrace and then needed to go back down to return the key when you finished using the terrace and then back up again to go back to our room. Needless to say, we didn't use the rooftop terrace at all during our stay. Bit of a shame, would have been a lovely evening spot.
The location is great and the downstairs garden was a quiet little sanctuary. Staff were always available and breakfast was lovely.

TurkeyEverything else is very bad managed ... rooms are almost cages ... very small ... you can barely feet with your luggage ... pool stinky with stagnant water almost smelly. The breakfast is very poor and could not satisfy even a small child. The parking is very far from the gate of the riyad, and people outside are asking you charity whenever you go out of the riyad. We asked a diner me and my wife. A very simple dinner, and it was charged like if we took it in the best 5 stars hotel. My real opinion about these riyads is that they aim take the maximum of your pocket for the minimum provided... Unfortunately.
The Riyad is close to the medina.
