This is a gem, the room is decorated so well we felt like staying in a palace. The location is also great, you can walk to the blue gate in 10-12 mins. The host (Kenza) speaks great English and helped us with several logistics during our trip. The restaurant has very good Moroccan food and the breakfast is to die for. The highlight for us though was the gentleman employee who treated our son like his own grandson. E didn’t speak much English but our son called him grandpa by the time we left. He got our son hot chocolate and fruits every morning and also took him walking while we were waiting for our tour bus one morning. It’s one of the those unexpected things that we will never forget.

Perhaps the best location to stay in Fez!!! Right outside the hustle bustle of the old town center but just 2 minutes walk to the Main Street. Wonderful decor and set-up and most importantly the greatest host ever. The restaurant at the Riad offers one of the most authentic local food.

Excellent property run by a family. Everything about the place is welcoming. Kenza was always available with the tips about Fes and where to shop. The restaurant at the hotel serves some of the best Tagines we enjoyed during our stay. Breakfast is sumptuous and staff really polite and welcoming.

The room was very nice decorated and clean. They didn't clean the room during our 2 days stay, but when we requested the towels were changed. We had contact at the riad with just one person which was very nice and kind. Breakfast is ok, I suppose typical marrocan breakfast, the same every day

I had a wonderful experience at Palais Laraichi. This is a beautiful family owned and operated Riad that is conveniently located next to the Medina. They will organize a taxi for a fee to and from the airport that will bring you door to door. I received a warm welcome from the staff and was served mint tea upon arrival. The restaurant and rooms are stunning. I loved the traditional Moroccan decor and spacious rooms. The beds are very comfortable, and the showers have good pressure. The included breakfast is delicious. Their restaurant serves some of the best food in Fes. I was treated like family. I highly recommend Palaise Laraichi.

What a wonderful Riad! We initially walked past it on the street and admired the how beautiful the restaurant on the ground floor looked, before realising that it was part of the Riad we had booked. The host family really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time in Fès, offering helpful advice, drivers, guides, assistance printing, access to our room after we had checked out, and delicious mint teas. We were really touched by their kindness and hospitality. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat dinner in the restaurant itself, but judging by the lovely breakfast spread we had each morning, we can imagine it would be great.

A beautiful Riad close to the Medina but at the same time far away from the hustle and bustle. Riad resembles a museum, you feel like being transported back to 18th century. Very clean Breakfast was amazing and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. If you are staying in Fes I recommend this Riad.

The only issue that bothered me was the stiffness of the mattress, but that has been the case in every hotel we stayed at.

We liked the hospitality of the owner and staff the most. Owner gave us lots of tips throughout the stay. Breakfast was good and location was awesome (near Medina, but not too noisy). Highly recommended.

A family run riad who were very polite and exceeded our expectations. We drove to the riad and parked comfortably next to it although little busy because it is close-by to one of the gates of the Medina. The owner himself greeted us with smile and offered us Moroccan tea and cookies while they checked us in. The owner arranged a tour guide for us who was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour. We were offered tea and water every time we passed the reception. The staff was also very polite and helpful especially Abdul Latif who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We left early in the morning and the owner's wife made sure we have the breakfast(great options for the breakfast) before we leave and the last but not least the owner dropped us to the train station!

Our experience could not have been better.

We couldn’t be more happy & thankful for the exceptional mint tea, fine dining and comfortable stay that Mr. Laraichi and his outstanding staff provided in his beautiful riad. They helped us with all questions (including touring, laundry & transportation) making this our best vacation ever!

Happy family run hotel near the medina but easily accessible by car/cab

I only stayed one night due to rerouting after the earthquake so not much time spent there. The kids speak perfect English, but I don't think the parents speak any. So if they are at the desk, you will want to use a translation app or a lot of hand signals.

The staff was very friendly in this small, family run hotel. They helped with my bags and greeted me with mint tea as is the custom. Rooms were nice, clean and well appointed, if a little cramped. I had dinner there and the lamb tagine was delicious. The hotel should be easy to get to by taxi as it's on the road (though my shady driver dropped me off at the medina gate and I had to lug my bags several blocks - it should be super easy to get from a cab to the hotel).
