Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWonderful Riad. Very friendly and helpful hosts who go out of their way to accomodate guests. Fluent in English and French. Great breakfast. Right at the edge of the Medina hence easy drive up access.

United StatesWe had to leave.
We have never experienced anything like our stay at Riad La Porte Bleue. We were picked up at the airport by the lovely Kenza and given a quick tour on the way to the Riad. The location is terrific. Not only is it just a short walk to the Blue Gate and into the Medina, it is also directly reachable by car. The Riad itself is wonderful; fantastically decorated and oh so very clean! Rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked with toiletries, hair dryer, and plenty of hot water. The meals were amazing; we experienced breakfasts and dinners - and coffee whenever we asked. Can’t say enough good things about our hosts. A special thank you to the entire family! They are the most accommodating and friendly people we’ve had the pleasure to meet. Nothing we asked was to much trouble. Shukran min alqalb!

AustraliaThe toilet and shower need a renovation as the smell from the pipes is ever-present. The towels are worn out. The extractor fan didnt work and the bathroom fills with steam. The bin was broken with no rubbish bag. There seems to be some issues with the management as the manager came into our room after midnight on the first night at the accommodation. Apologies are not enough for this kind of error. The Moroccan breakfast is quite boring and a hotel with this price should at least have an option to cater for international tourists.
The location is ok if you like a small hotel open to a busy (and noisy) street on the edge of the souk. Airport transfers were very efficient and helpful. The hotel staff were very keen to orient us to Fez and tourist points.

AustraliaDue to poor communication from the hotel, I didn’t know the room rate had changed. I didn’t find out until the day before we left and when I objected I had THREE staff abuse me. It ruined our stay as we were fearful to leave the room. Disappointing as up until then it was great.
The hotel is lovely, it is very clean. Great location. Big room, some staff very helpful. Good breakfast

CroatiaVery greedy owner. Only looking for the money. We booked the private riad just for us. They sell riad with 8 “private ensuited” rooms. When we showed up we found out this was not the truth. Also, we wanted the privacy and were very suprised when we found many random guests in front of our “private” rooms on the second day. Explanation from the owner: You booked private riad, but today we work as a restaurant! There was no privacy at all, not in the rooms nor in the riad common area. Crazy! They offer free water at the breakfast. At the check out they locked the riad and did not alow us to leave till we pay 50€ for the 15 bottles of water which was “included”. Very bad experience
It was good in the start

United KingdomThey advertise that they take card but it is not accurate. When I tried to pay by card I was informed the property had "problems" with the card machine. I had been using my card without any problems. Clearly they didnt connect the machine to the network so it would seem as if it didnt work. They forced me to pay cash because they didnt want to take card. Furthermore they moved my suitcases from the initial room I was in without my consent. Claiming it was an "upgrade". They try to fool tourists.

BelgiumMy room was old and ugly, some of the curtains were ripped, There was only one coat rack for shirt or pants. Internet in the room was very poor.
Location was great at the entry of the medina. Staff was very helfull and friendly. Breakfast was simple but good. The room was super clean and the bed and pillows were great ! Shower supplied enough warm water. The manager wasn't present during my check out, the (older) waiter asked me if I knew how the credit card machine worked (I loved it ;-)) and I paid for the first time in my life with the machine while entering all details myself.

MoroccoAll the hotel staff were very hospitable, kind and helpful. The owner also helped us in finding a very good local guide ( recommended) for a tour in the city. The rooms are also spacious with a beautiful Moroccan architecture. We were really impressed. At their restaurant, We had the best Moroccan food in the country. We would definitely recommend this Riad.
