Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenI love the atmosphere and the spirit of this Riad. Just by the one of main Fes street so easy to reach even during dark hours. Mr Alavi is a kind man and his hospitality was heart warming. If there is anything you concerned about just ask him and he will do his best.

United KingdomIt is very difficult to find as there are no signs on the main road. The n. 15 on the address on booking is wrong and most wouldn't know where to point you. We were lucky a friendly young man offered to take us for free. It's at the end of a very small alleyway, turning to the right. The door is locked so you need to knock loudly or ring them up.
Very large and beautiful riad. The room was great and so was the breakfast.

AustraliaThe location marker on the map on bookings.com was incorrect by several derbs, so we had a little trouble finding the place and had to phone up. Hopefully this can be fixed for future guests. Like many places in Morocco drainage is an issue and the shower took ages to drain so smelt a little mouldy.
The riad is beautiful with gorgeous tiling and plaster work. Our room was very nice with lots of lovely features. The beds were comfortable and we were just warm enough with the aircon going. The breakfast room and courtyard garden are also lovely. The breakfasts were filling and above average for Morocco. We found the terrace after a couple of days and enjoyed the view and some sunshine. The guy that looked after us was awesome, very helpful, always available and interesting to talk to.

The room was very spacious for our family of five. The host offered great service and was on hand to answer any questions I have prior to my arrival and I was able to book a guided tour through them. Omar was extremely helpful in guiding us around the local area and gave great recommendations. The breakfast was also great.

Very warm welcome. The room is clean and has a lot of space for 2 people. The location is in the middle of the medina but you can't hear any of it when you're in the riad.

Everything was fine, especially the hosts! The building is beautiful and the food/breakfast was fantastic! It's the perfect place to stay and explore the medina. I can also reccomend the tour guide they organized for us, Moundir. All in all I can say that we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely come again.

SpainThe rooms were low ceilings, not what we had had in other riads, with much higher ceilings. The place at the most to be called basic in the form of its amenities. There were no extras, no toiletries, no bath mat, no carpets on the floor. A few old paintings were the only decoration. Besides the courtyard and the roof terrace, where there was some dried meat hanging on the laundry lines, there was nothing nice about the building. We booked a family room which was quite small with all the beds, but ok. What was not ok, was that it was cold!!! And the heating didn’t work. There were no extra blankets and even though we put extra clothes on, we hardly slept. During the night it became even colder in the room (we were at the top floor), and we woke up stiff and tired. Even though we had paid for three nights, we left the next morning, as the amenities just were not comfortable at all, and the coldness made it even worse. Tiptoeing from and overflowing shower to the mouldy sink to brush your teeth and then over a cold floor to your cold bed is not our idea of a holiday…. I’m not sure how they got their fabulous reviews, calling it the best riad they stayed in…?
The location was good, in a good part of the Medina Staff was helpful Beautiful inner courtyard Breakfast ok

CanadaThe suite we stayed in was very cold. The heating/ac unit on the wall was insufficient to bring our room to anywhere near room temperature. To avoid getting very ill we left 1 day early. We did not receive any compensation back from booking or the hotel despite the fact that we couldn’t stay the extra day.

This riad was amazing. They welcomed us like family, they were super friendly and made sure we were comfortable and satisfied with their service. They also recommend a very good restaurant near the riad. The riad is located inside the medina, which makes it perfect to shop around without worrying about transportation. The breakfast was included and they offered to have it ready for us before our departure. Thank you omar and isam for the great service.
