Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We loved the evening meal , breakfast & welcome package. The staff were amazing - nothing too much trouble. Map. me was so helpful with getting around Marrakesh! The rooms exceptional & cleaned everyday. The tortoises, roof garden & peace were particularly special.

United KingdomRiad Matham is a perfect secluded oasis. The 7 rooms are all unique and offer slightly different size of accommodation. The riad has a beautiful feel, extremely clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Watterside room which was perfect and quiet and the bed was very comfortable, a great shower with plenty of hot water. The manager, Hicham is such a wonderful host, extremely welcoming and helpful. We couldn't fault the service and friendliness of Hicham and the 3 other staff who relentlessly cleaned, cooked, and looked after us throughout our 7 nights. The arrival & departure transfers were organised perfectly by Hicham, everyone was on time and ready to collect us and drop us back to the airport - we highly recommend taking this offer for a transfer. We also took the offer of a homecooked meal on the evening of our arrival and it was all delicious. The breakfasts are wonderful, tasty and change slightly each day, and there is plenty of it. The location of the riad is ideal for getting to all the sights in the city of Marrekesh. Hicham took us through all of the directions where to go and how to get there, recommendations for dinner and how to navigate our way around so we didn't feel the need for a guide and felt confident in walking everywhere and never get lost and found all of the places we wanted to visit without any issues. A few restaurants close by were wonderful and we highly recommend Le Slimana and La Trou au Mur which are both a 1 minute walk away. We will definitely be returning to Marrekesh and can't wait to stay at Riad Matham again. Thank you Hicham and staff for making our holiday perfect! Amy & Scott (UK)

United KingdomI loved staying here, there was nothing I didn't like.
I was met from my bus, a short taxi ride and short walk to the Riad, not sure I would have found it otherwise. My room was amazing, I loved the decor and the room (suite) was huge. The Riad is beautiful; calm and relaxing, a real oasis away from the busy souks. I loved eating breakfast in the courtyard. Fabulous views from the roof terrace.

United KingdomIf I'm being picky, the water pressure for the shower wasn't the best but I suspect this is the same throughout the Medina.
We liked pretty much everything. The courtyard was beautiful. The rooms clean and comfortable. The staff were fantastic. The free wi-fi was very fast. The views from the rooftop were superb. The Manager, Hicham, couldn't do enough for you and nothing was too much trouble. I'm not sure when he sleeps because he seemed to always be on the go from dawn until dusk. We will definitely be staying here again.

United KingdomA small point, but it was extremely dusty inside the cupboard units in the bedroom. I have a dust allergy and this contributed to some issues with asthma during my stay.
Great breakfast, quietish area, although there was some construction work going on close to my room.

PortugalAmazing riad with large rooms, high ceilings and beautiful details. Very clean property, and in general very quiet. Breakfast in the morning is rich and tasty, served in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The hotel manager is really helpful and available. The location is hard to find, but if you contact the property letting them know where you are, they will pick you up and show you the way.

IrelandThe staff were amazing. So so clean and in a great area of the city, close to everything but super quiet. The Riad is beautiful, and again, so clean. We stayed in another Riad before this that was more expensive but this one is the winner! Also the breakfast was outstanding.

United KingdomThe main bed in the suite was quite hard, probably fine for others but not what we are used to.
Beautiful, peaceful riad with amazing service from Hisham and other staff. Hisham arranged our collection from the airport (18 euros), gave us a map and showed us how to download and use an offline maps app, pointed out best routes to get to different attractions and generally made us feel very welcome. Our children loved the resident tortoises and the small pool for a chilly January dip! Our suite was spacious, stylish and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, as was dinner on our first night. Highly recommend.

United KingdomFabulous place to stay, very comfortable and elegant, with quirky artistic touches.. Nice breakfast and very well appointed room and en-suite. Marrakech medina is full of lovely riads but Riad Matham is a cut above, and very good value for money.

United KingdomNothing - everything was perfect!
Absolutely loved everything about this riad - despite being in the medina was super quiet and peaceful. Breakfast each morning was lovely, room was spacious and bed was sooo comfortable! Hisham was an amazing host - I have stayed in many places but this was by far the best from a service point of view. Excellent services and facilities, shower was lovely and overall an extremely great experience. I’d recommend to anyone looking for somewhere in Marrakech to stay here! Thankfully we booked the transfer from the airport with Riad Matham and I’m glad we did as it was super busy in the street upon arrival and Hisham met us from the taxi drop off - gave us very helpful instructions upon arrival and provided 5* service throughout our stay. Thankyou Hisham for your immaculate service and for taking such great care of us!
