Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TurkeyThe breakfast menu was very inadequate, they gave me another room instead of the room I reserved through reservation. Even though I refused, they did not change my room, saying the hotel was full. Big disappointment.
The location and texture of the hotel were nice.

DenmarkEVERYTHING. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Our 4-night stay was one big overpriced (200€ pr. night) disappointment from the moment we arrived until we left. They seated us and promised that someone would come to introduce us to the place and show us our room. After waiting 40 minutes without any sign of them, we gave up. The introduction never happened. OLD, UNFRIENDLY and UNCOMFORTABLE: - Small, dark room with one window facing an indoor back staircase. No wifi. No water pressure in the shower – only cold water. Uncomfortable, old, smelly furniture – both the bed and sun loungers were rock-hard. Worst nights of our life. - Arrogant staff – I was mocked twice by three different employees: once for my pronunciation of “vegetables” and another time when I questioned why my cutlery was taken away during breakfast, only to be told I could just take a set from another table. - Their so-called spa was a disgusting, small, dark room in the middle of the restaurant with only one woman (who didn’t speak English) performing the treatment, which was booked for two people. - The rooftop terrace was unusable due to old smelly uncomfortable furniture, staff constantly working, piling laundry next to sun loungers, ongoing construction and walking in front of guests. Even asked us to find another place to be, because they were working. - Dinner was a disaster – we booked for live music but were seated at the only table with no view, forgotten by the waiter, and had to keep asking for service.

United StatesAll the furniture in the room were dusty. The beds were dusty and we were scratching ourselves all night. The heater was very noisy, we had to turn it off and sleep in the cold. The commode was flushing intermittently finally it broke down the morning of our leaving.

IndiaOur stay at Riad Palais Sebban was average and did not meet the expectations of a 5-star property. While the ambiance of the riad was decent, there were ongoing construction works, which was disappointing for the premium pricing. The staff seemed more business-oriented rather than welcoming, which took away from the warmth one expects at such a property. Service was far from five-star, with several areas needing improvement. For instance, the breakfast was left uncovered in the chilly weather, causing the food to become cold—a small yet significant detail they overlooked. Additionally, we had to wait 40 minutes before being checked in, which was frustrating. On the positive side, they allowed us to store our bags on the last day, which was appreciated but didn’t make up for the lackluster experience overall. If you’re expecting true 5-star service, this property might fall short. There are likely better options in Marrakesh for the same price.

TurkeyI do not recommend to book this riad. We booked 2 rooms. Both rooms had very dirty floors, they do not clean them at all. There is mold in the bathrooms. The whole room smells of dampness and cat urine every day. Crowds of tourists are brought to the riad every day for breakfast or lunch, which interferes with your stay. When preparing breakfast in the kitchen, all the smell goes into the room (there is no exhaust fan). It was so uncomfortable that after the first night we had to leave for another hotel. The riad does not want to return the money for the remaining nights, does not respond to requests from the booking service.

United KingdomFirst night of Morocco holiday. Only stayed one night. It was ok. Comfortable room and foyer decor is beautifully ornate. Moroccan interiors are incredibly ornate which leaves me wondering how well they can clean them. It didn’t feel immaculate but neither did it feel dirty. Pools are cold late October.
Very close to main square. Beautiful setting but ‘faded’. The garden dining is pretty, the restaurant staff very welcoming and friendly. The food was so, so. Big room. Felt like it would have been grand I. Its heyday. Bit tired now.

PortugalMain Door was locked at 11pm we had trouble finding the after hours route in, which was through old unrestored rooms and passageways! Our room was small very cluttered with heavy old curtains etc! Of course it was adapted as all of these old buildings are. Hotel was located in Old part of City, not far in so 3minute walk from the road There are no cars inside the Old City, just scooters mopeds and bikes everywhere. I would not have wished to stay at that location any longer thann the 2 nights, but we certainly got a taste of Marrakesh.
Staff were good Hotel ran smoothly Bar was open till 11pm Inner Courtyard was lovely by small pool where we took breakfast which was also very good. Pool on rooftop was very small not a hotel for swimmers! We took some excursions the Quad / Camel/ Dinner in the Atlas Mountains was great and good value. The Guys tried very hard and have built a little oasis in the mountains as their camp, sunset, views and dinner was great! Camel a little uncomfortable.

CanadaMy finance got violent food poisoning after eating two meals here (lunch 2pm and supper 8pm) and I had to take her to the hospital at 3am after vomiting every half an hour since 10pm (we had the same food for breakfast that morning and she was perfectly fine until just after supper). Not great quality of food especially for the price and compared to another riad we stayed at and restaurants in the area. There were flies everywhere in the common spaces (none in the room). The breakfast bar the next morning and all food in the morning was full of flies. The outdoor pool was dirty (scum) Not too far from where the cab can drop you off but still not easily accessible, access to the lobby through alleys and back hall of Riad, had to drag luggage
Beautiful but needs updating badly They “upgraded” us but the room had windows that went to an alley with a dog that barked constantly The lock for the door to the room was a padlock and a chain that you moved from one side to the other. The doorway was about 5’10” so I had to duck going in and out and was the shower so it was very difficult to shower.

United KingdomThe bed is like a rock - that really needs sorting. There is no TV in the room, which is pretty difficult in the modern world. I also didn’t like that on the day we were due to check out they didn’t even wait for us to leave before turning over our room. I would also say the works they’ve got going on are very disruptive - the banging started early in the day and went on forever. Some annoying Dutch tourists also did the classic thing of ‘reserving’ sun loungers, which was frustratingly selfish.
It really is very pretty and in a convenient location. The food we had at dinner was excellent - the lamb tagine, in particular was delicious.

United KingdomRooms were passable, have been to better rooms in other Riads for lesser price. Air-condition was in poor condition especially in prestige room that we were offered. So not ideal in hot summers.
Staff were very friendly. Drinks were good quality. Bought a bottle of white wine and chilled Casablanca beer from the bar and it was amazing and good price. Breakfast was delicious. Having an on-site bar is great.

United StatesThere were so many mosquitoes in our room. We asked the staff to help spay the mosquito repellent but that didn’t help. We couldn’t sleep all night due to itchiness. We then asked the staff to move us to another suite. Which they did. That room was also uncomfortable and had mosquitoes. The sink was clogged as overall felt like we were staying in a 2 star hotel. Towels were old and linens were clean but old.
Beautifully decorated.

United KingdomBooking system a bit dodgy. I received a message from the Riad asking for a payment with a link in order to avoid cancelling my booking. I’ve been using booking.com for years and never had this experience. Luckily I didn’t see the message in time and ended up ignoring it. Short after I received another message saying their booking system got “hacked” and my booking was still valid with a warning to never send money to anyone…. Already at the Riad, during the check in we were welcomed by a lovely girl that asked if we wanted to pay for the taxi we took from the airport now or at check out which we opt to pay now. At the check out there were 3 guys from the new shift that asked us to pay for the taxi again. We said we had already paid but since the girl didn’t provide us with a receipt that was a bit of an argument. On our way out we were asked to then pay for the taxi that apparently was waiting for us outside to take us back to the airport…. I told the guy there was no taxi outside, in fact we were going to the Sahara Desert excursion and our bus was the one waiting outside. For my surprise in one last attempt of getting money from us he insisted we needed to pay him for the bus!! When I told him the bus and the excursion was booked completely separately and had nothing to do with Palais Sebban he just said “sorry the guy made a mistake on the system”. How come there’s a mistake on the system regarding an excursion that we never mentioned in the first place and we were only staying at the Riad for 1 night? If it was a person a little less aware would definitely had fallen for this tricks in order to get extra money. My advice is to take pictures of everything and always request receipts of everything you consume inside this Riad.
Architecture and design. Beautiful and spacious Riad! The main pool is deep and great for a proper swim (different than most Riads that only have a fountain in the middle that is classified as a pool when is not). Staff are nice and food was delicious.

United KingdomA few issues. I arranged an airport pick-up but they didn't arrive so I had to make my own way there without internet or a map. Another time I ordered chicken pie but I was given seafood pie which I am allergic to. Their casual apology was surprising for such a serious error. Dinks orders and payments weren't tracked properly so we were asked three times to pay for things that we'd already paid for. They even asked me to pay for the airport pick-up.
The swimming pools are lovely and the rooms are clean. The central terrace is relaxing and beautiful, perfect for evening drinks.

Spain!. The room stank of sewage, the management knows about it because they placed a strongly scented candle in the bathroom. 2. We were leaving before 7 and the previous evening the reception offered us an early, small breakfast at 6:30. Unfortunately, in the morning it turned out that there was no breakfast... 3. At night, at 1 AM and 2 AM, it was really noisy and the reception clearly couldn't control it. Sorry - not for this price! :-(
