Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We had a wonderful night as a family at this riad. The parking was nearby, and the old medina was easily accessible. As for the staff, Mr. Aali gave us a warm welcome and guided us on the various routes to explore. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

FranceFirst night stay under the Roof rafters was quite cold and the mattress was as hard as the floor. Manager arranged to change room for a suite.
Giant Riad dating from 1367. Élégant interior détails, awe inspiring architecture. Staff and Manager have gone beyond expectations to facilitate my 3 day stay. Highly recommend a stay.

RomaniaThe house is a peace of art. The owner, Ali, is very friendly and helps you with everything, starting from car transfer to different destinations to printing your check in tickets. The neighbor may seem dangerous but you won’t have any problems. The local people are nice.

BelgiumThe riad is situated close to medina, so it’s best to be aware about the situation in fez at night.
Very unique location with elements of traditional Meredin architecture. The riad has a beautiful terrace with a great view of the old Medina. The host is very helpful and always in for a nice talk accompanied by fresh mint tea.

New ZealandRoom On ground floor and guests stayed downstairs for ages in the evening. Better if you had a functioning terrace for this sort of gathering.

NetherlandsThe rooftop terrace is nothing like the pictures and old, dusty and not maintained. The rooms are ok, but location-wise I suggest to go somewhere near/inside the medina. This was a bit far and not a comfortable route to walk, especially in the night.
Ali was amazing host and we got an upgrade from him, from a small room at the back to a nice big suite. So no negative comments regarding Ali as a very helpful and nice host. However; the place it self is ran down.

ItalyI believe that if you want to have a fancy hotel, you should ensure hygiene, especially when you are located in the Medina. This wasn’t the case. During the night, the hotel belonged to the cockroaches. They were big, and were the rulers of the bathroom, which was very uncomfortable
Oussama was a great host who facilitated the shisha and any of our needs. The dinner was good, though massively overpriced. Also, the staff was really nice.

CroatiaThere's no doors on the bathroom in the double rooms. Also, we reserved 4 rooms and 3 of them were great, but one of the rooms was stuffy because the windows couldn't be open.
Beautiful courtyard and great breakfast. The beds are comfy and the view from the terrace is amazing. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help us with everything, so thank you for that :)

AustraliaRoom I chose was gorgeous but right next to the main courtyard. There's not heaps of privacy but we didn't have any issues.
This was the nicest Riad we visited in Morocco! The inner courtyard is nice and large and stays cool despite it being hot outside. There is a nice view of part of the city and area to soak up some sun on the rooftop and our room was huge and gorgeous. The bathroom attached to the room was also really nice which isn't super common in Morocco where most bathrooms seem to have been designed by people who have never used a shower or shared a room with a partner before. The guy working at reception was super helpful and kind offering us recommendations and even gave us some cash so we could grab dinner without first needing to go to the atm (to be repaid of course). I highly recommend this place! We stayed here 2 nights before going to Chefchaouen for a night and returning to Fes for a final night at another place so we could fly out. The last place cost more and was supposed to be the nicest but I wish I had booked another night here!
