We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

PortugalUnique place! You feel like you are in a palace. The level of craftmanship that has been involved to build and restore the Riad is really impressive. It was the highlight of our stay in Fès!

An incredible stay, fabulous host, wonderful food and beautiful riad in the old city next to the Medina. A former Pasha mansion turned into a beautiful Riad made to perfection by the owners who takes pride in his Fes heritage. The Riad has a few spacious indulging private suites, a beautiful courtyard and a terrace. The restaurant in the courtyard serves exquisite breakfast lunch and dinner. Mr Salim mission is to give his guests a perfect experience sharing with them his knowledge about the history and culture of his city. He will provide you with tips and help on how to get around, negotiate taxi fare, bargain and all your travel needs and wants and will recommend a travel agency which will provide you with a guide, car and itinerary for excursions and other destination but after spending time in the Riad you will not want to leave.

United KingdomWe liked everything. It might be hard to reach the riad if you have limited mobility as the streets of the medina can be narrow steep and uneven, so it may not be suitable for everyone, but this is the case throughout the old medina in Fes and for us it was part of the charm of staying here.
The entire stay was excellent and exceeded expectations. The room was magnificant, the beds very comfortable (I appreciated the choice of harder or softer pillows). The breakfast was wonderful with an amazing view from the beautiful roof terrace. The staff went above and beyond to accomodate us.

United KingdomIt is truly a lovely hotel - only recommendations would be to make the spa experience longer than 45 minutes to match the price charged and it would be a nice touch to offer complimentary water bottles rather than charging for them as the tap water is not recommended.
A beautiful Riad with a 5 star rooftop and view! Would recommend booking a guide on day one to help get your bearings as the Medina is a maze. In terms of dining, breakfast is generous and delicious! Dinner is slightly pricey compared to neighbouring restaurants but considering the ease and taste would definitely recommend dining in at least once! The hammam spa offering is again slightly pricey and functional (basic steam room) but still enjoyable after a long day exploring. Most importantly Noor and the team were incredibly helpful and could not do enough to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and that made our stay extra special.

IrelandTV didn't work, but that wasn't a problem for me.
We have been touring Morocco for a few days now and ended up in this FABULOUS hotel in the labyrinth of Fes. The Manager is helpful, and kind and speaks perfect English - which was a great help to us. The vibe of the hotel is ancient elegance.... built as a home in the 13th century - but almost luxury accommodation now. The food was excellent, and they have a variety of moroccon wine - which is a bit of a challenge at times if you like to have a glass with your meal. (Morrocan wine is very good BTW) The rooms are 13th century with updates where you'd want them ... plumbing etc. Very interesting and the beds are perfect. I'm an earplug person and slept right through ... but the doors are wood - so like any place, sound can come through. But it's a very quiet hotel in general. This hotel is most definitely a highlight of our tour.

DenmarkRiad Rcif and Spa is an oasis in Fes. The best Riad of our entire Morocco trip. The owner goes out of his way to give guests all kinds of helpful tips on how to travel well in Morocco. He also tells you a lot of interesting historical details about Fes and the other cities in Morocco. You can approach him with any concerns, he speaks perfect English and is very open-minded and personable. I have never stayed in an accommodation with such service before. The rest of the staff is also extremely friendly and accommodating, making you feel at home. The riad itself has been lovingly restored, clean, the beds are wonderful, you sleep very well and it is completely quiet. The food is excellent, a Moroccan cook cooks herself and both dinner and breakfast are very, very good. The location is also ideal and the owner will work out a perfect route for you to explore the city on your own. If you come to Fes you definitely have to book here!!

JapanI can't remember ever having a better experience while traveling. The host made our stay unforgettable. What should I praise first? The personalized sightseeing plan and the historical context discussion upon arrival? The fantastic ambience and cleanness of the Riad? The big and comfortable rooms? The friendly, professional and always helpful staff? The excellent quality, quantity and variety of the breakfast? Or the singularly best dinner we had during our stay in Morocco? To sum it up, this Riad is for me a reason itself to revisit Morocco.

United Arab EmiratesIt is difficult to describe the beauty of this place even if i am an arab. It is both a 13th century riad and a modern boutique hotel all in one. The riad is vast and the rooms are large and have soaring ceilings. The public areas are numerous with similarly large living areas . There are several terraces and a great pool area to sun yourself in. The rooms are luxuriously appointed. Upon entering the Riad you are immediately transformed from the hustle and bustle of the Fez medina to a place of calm relaxation. The staff will take care of any need you may have. They are all personable and caring. They even let you join the chefs in the kitchen to learn how to cook Moroccan specialties (no additional charge). Meals can be taken anywhere in the riad, your room, near the pool or the terraces. The main terrace is one of the highest points in the medina, affording panoramic views of the medina and Fez in general. The staff are happy to arrange tours (additional charge) and airport transfers. The drivers (we recommend Omar) and vehicles (luxury Mercedes vans) are first rate. Indulge yourself as we did. You can go wrong with Riad Rcif for your stay in Fez

GermanyWhen I think of what a riad in Morocco would be like, I pictured Riad Rcif . When we arrived we were greeted by Noor. We were offered the traditional mint tea while we waited to check in. Noor was a true pleasure to chat with throughout our stay. The riad staff was always professional and pleasant and would take care of any needs or concerns we had. The riad itself is beautiful. Between the courtyard, the suite, the pool, the restaurant…it was like walking through a dream! We ate dinner on both nights at the hotel. The food was so delicious and the rooftop setting was stunning at night. Chef Mama Fatima was able to create a lovely dish for my friend who has dietary concerns. We also took advantage of the hamman and spa while we were there. It was such a unique and relaxing experience. We were truly pampered by the staff. It was an overall incredible experience. We wished we had more time to spend there!

United StatesI just stayed here and it was probably the best part of my visit to Morocco. The owners, and staff, are friendly, polite and this has to be the most gorgeous Riad in Fes. It is so comfortable, and safe, and in a fantastic location for the Medina, and meeting tours. The breakfast and dinner are incredible. Noor ,Hassan were so helpful in every way. great for a solo female traveler although I would recommend for others as well. Highly recommend. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

United KingdomLet's start with the basics. Riad Rcif was the best of our trip to Morocco. When I imagine a riad, this is it! The design is beyond reproach. The attention to detail and the visual aesthetic reflect a very personal eye. Everywhere that you looked had something special. And any riad that has a bar (not just a bar but one with so much mood), wins me over. All the rooms have windows opening onto the courtyard and what we loved was just the sound of the water fountain. Dinner and breakfast are served in the restaurant on the roof (at least while we were there) keeping the sounds in the courtyard at a minimum. In itself, the riad seems to be positioned well without a lot of outside noise. With that said, it's also on the quieter side of the medina away from the Blue Gate. Now for the real review and this, I believe, is what sets riads/hotels truly apart. First and foremost, the owners and the st staff are always available. You know from the beginning that they are 'curators' of this design museum! I can't say enough about the team including Noor.Hassan From finding atm's and getting SIM cards to managing the medina (the first day was crazy for us!), someone was always there to help. we felt included in their family. I will second what many have said; Fez definitely is better than Marrakech! A big thanks to all and we do hope one day to visit again!

United KingdomWe were in the Aida room on the ground floor so lacking in privacy as the room is directly off the reception lounge. Room had no natural daylight so felt quite enclosed. Was very cold to have breakfast on rooftop mid December, they could have served this indoors.
Decor and ancient tiles were amazing. Rooftop views also. Noor, the manager was great.

United KingdomNot so much about the property but my specific room did not have any natural light. It’s not a huge issue because otherwise the room was beautiful.
It’s a historic Riad which exudes royalty as soon as you step in. The manager and staff are very welcoming and give you a brief history of the property.

Don't miss the chance to meet the best manager that we have ever met in our journeys. He was helpful, explicit, polite just perfect. He made our visit at Fez an easy and safe experience.
