Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe traffic took a little while to get used, also when in the markets it’s difficult to look without being encouraged to buy something. You can easily get lost inside the souks.
The host was absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was beautiful and all laid up in the dining area. Traditional and delicious. The Riad itself was located in a central location easy to walk about the town and markets. Although initially tricky to locate due to no street signs once we found our bearings everyone was close by. The locals are extremely helpful, although some do request a tip. Be mindful on the roads as the traffic doesn’t stop for anyone and can be chaotic at times (you will get used it!) lovely local restaurants and very good value for money about £12-£16 for 2 people to enjoy a meal. This usually includes olives and bread. Alcohol is not served at most eatery’s. But can be found in the carrfores (supermarkets) . All in all a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend the Riad Sesame and will be returning

United KingdomTo be honest not much that I didn't like, if there was 1 thing, I would say the soap in the bathroom, there was one, that smelt nice, but didn't quite do the job like I was used to.
It was exactly what we have expected and were looking for. Traditional place, clean, comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, willing to accommodate all your needs and provided a lot of advise. Although at first glance the street looks a bit to the side, it is actually safe and very well lit. My friend and I, 2 girls, came to the hotel even at midnight without any issues. I would recommend this place and I would go there again.

GermanyBe aware: In the riads all the rooms show towards the inner patio, so you can´t hear the noise from the streets, but from the other rooms.
Madame Latifa is the person in charge at the Riad. She was very helpful and very kind. We could even leave our luggage for 2 days for free in the Riad, while we were on a trip. She organized us a taxi to pick us up from the airport and back. The Riad is very good located, close to the Medina and the markets. Many restaurants around.

United KingdomNot dissatisfied. Knowing French can make communication more convenient.
If people in the same trade hope to fully enjoy the local folk customs, this is the market outside, and there are many very delicious restaurants. We arrived at the hotel after nine o'clok in the evening. When we arrived, the hostess provided us with free mint hot tea and snacks, which my mother liked very much. In the evening, we wanted to go out and find something to eat. The hostess immediately found us a map, marked the nearby markets and restaurants in detail, and told us the prices and product differences of several markets. Someone comes to clean up the guest room every day, and the room is very tidy. You can get to the hotel soon after you get off the taxi, and the location is super safe. There are more than three kinds of bread, jam, nut jam, honey, coffee and milk, and mint tea for breakfast. The service staff was very friendly and enjoyed the breakfast. When we left, the hostess took the initiative to call a taxi for us. The bed in the room is very soft, as warm as home, and has folk characteristics. It's a perfect place. I'll choose it again when I come back.

United KingdomI managed to trip over a small step which was not marked. The staff were very concerned and helpful. Fortunately, there was no real damage.
Riad is tucked away in a little back street. When we got there, the neighbours were demolishing and the riad moved us away from the noise, which thankfully stopped late afternoon. We had an early departure, so the lady in the riad kindly did us a "packed breakfast"!

SpainIs not a dislike as such but the rooftop terrace wasn't open during our stay because it was considered too cool in the evening but did miss that little bit of outside space. Not sure when that would be open so worth asking before booking if this was an important factor when making a reservation
Close to Medina markets. Housekeeper very accommodating especially as on arrival we were offered herbal tea and biscuits despite being in the evening. Rooms had everything you would need including essential air con and cleaned every day. Loved the breakfast too 😋
