We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. New ZealandThe room has a sewery smell when we arrived. The beds are very firm however this seems to be the same for all of the beds we had in Morocco. There was no water provided unless you paid for it even at breakfast which was a bit disappointing.
The host came to meet us from our taxi which was kind. We were greeted with mint tea and Moroccan pastries/biscuits. The room was clean. The rooftop terrace was lovely and breakfast up there was relaxing. The host organised a packed breakfast for our early check out. The prune and lamb tagine and Moroccan soup were delicious and the best we had during our time in Morocco! We loved the egg omelette that was provided with breakfast and the fresh orange juice too.

The stay in the Riad was very good. Youssef and Anas are really very Kind hosts. It was clean and the breakfast was very delicious. As for the equipment, there is no heater but temperature was still okay in March. But it has everything you need, including warm water, hairdryer, fresh towels, etc... Recommendation for travellors who come by their own: Make sure to book a transport directly to the accomodation or at least organise yourself a moroccan simcard so you can navigate yourself. Do not follow local people when arriving alone in Marrakech. Thank you very much for the pleasent hostess.

PortugalFelt bad for disturbing them to open the front door each time. May be difficult for some to find, although we didn't have any issues.
Anas and Youssef are great hosts! They are gentle, welcoming and gave us a great briefing upon our arrival. The riad is comfortable and extremely clean. You can tell that it is taken care of with great care. The beds are very comfortable and the shower water pressure is great! Their breakfasts are a great way to start off the day. It's only a 5-7 min walk to the Jemna El Fna square and walkable to all the sights in Marrakesh. We highly recommend and would stay again!

ArgentinaWe had an incredible stay at Riad Vis ta Vie. The riad itself is beautiful and kept extremely clean, every day we came back to fresh towels and a made bed. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which had local products and was served on the terrace. After staying here, we couldn't agree more with the reviews highlighting the generosity and attention to detail of both Anas and Youssef; they made us feel at home from the moment we entered their Riad and were always there to help with any question or request. We couldn't recommend this stay more to anyone wanting to explore Marrakesch!

United StatesFor the price you're paying, it was absolutely perfect. I had a room with a bathroom separate from the main room, which was a little inconvenient, but I knew that going in to the booking. So just make sure you're aware of which room you're choosing to book and what you're comfortable with, as they have rooms with bathrooms inside as well.
Yuseff and Anas should be running a major global hospitality chain. These two brothers genuinely care about each of their guests and want to make sure you're having the best possible experience at their Riad as well as in Marrakech on the whole. Went absolutely out of their way on multiple occasions to help with even minor requests... and they serve a fantastic and authentic breakfast too.

CanadaI liked it all
Thank you to our hosts, informative and always available with genuine kindness. It was quiet and clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was the best so far we have had during our stays. Breakfast included eggs, breads, fruit, juice, tea and coffee in generous proportions and all up on the rooftop terrace. A super start to our time in Morocco. It was located within walking distance to anywhere in Medina and tucked nicely off the busy walkway so a quiet reprieve from the busy streets yet easy to find. Don’t hesitate to book here, it’s a gem.

GermanyAmazing time in Marraquexe and The brothers( owners) Anas & Youssef are doing an amazing job there, helping us with everything during our stay, super friendly, also to spend time with them. As the business is familiar we can feel the love they put on everything. They helped us to reserv a tour to go outside of Marraquexe. The breakfast was lovely, and it's the perfect choice instead of searching something to eat in the morning. Everything clean, beautiful decoration. Very calm, next time I will be again here in Riad Vis ta vie 😍

Romania- location is a bit hard to find - please check the number in the address since there is no sign of the riad itself anywhere
- staff is very helpful - they provided even a kettle (on request) because I was cold and in great need of tea + extra blanket + breakfast at 4 am in the morning since we had plane early in the morning - heating and hot water - we visited in January so still cold at night - they charged us in dirham + euro since it was our last night and they did not make us go to the exchange anymore (many thanks) * as a suggestion I think it would be ok to ask about the parking in advance since there are a lot of skammers around the place saying that the roads are blocked and trying to get money from you - so you should ask about where to park in advance (parking Aguerzam is what we used and its about 8 min walk)

RomaniaThe riad is beautiful, charming and clean, run by two brothers, Youssef and Anas, who were the best hosts we have ever had in our stays. They really are the definition of hospitality! The location was quiet, close to Jemaa el-Fna and within walking distance of all the tourist attractions in the medina, so it's a great starting point for exploring Marrakesh. From the day we checked in, we met Anas and got a bunch of recommendations for things to do in the city, which was super helpful for us. He even went out of his way to help us buy SIM cards and pack some souvenirs on our last day! In the evenings we had a lot of good conversations with Youssef, who was also very friendly and welcoming - he even offered to pack our breakfast one day when we had to leave early for a day trip. Speaking of breakfast, it was very filling and delicious! We'll miss the mint tea, the fresh orange juice and the good food on the roof of the riad - but most of all we'll miss the two brothers who helped make our trip unforgettable! We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Marrakech!

ItalyThe riad is amazing, the two hosts are welcoming and will give you recommendations on the city and what to visit. The location is just 7 minutes walk away from the main square Jamaa El Fnaa, yet it's a quiet place, out of the souks hectic activities. Bonus points: the delicious breakfast! Prepared freshly out of the kitchen every morning, we'll miss it a lot. We stayed for 2 weeks and as remote-workers, it was an ideal choice: we could also enjoy the riad terrace and ground floor during our working hours (consider that there aren't many remote workers's-friendly spots in the Medina of Marrakech) We totally recommend it!

BelgiumWe had a perfect stay at this riad. The brothers who run this riad are very kind. They gave us recommendations for wich places to see, where to get food, where to get money for the best exchange rate,… The rooms were clean and comfortable. The riad is only five minutes walking from the main square, yet inside it was very quite. The breakfast they serve each morning is delicious. We asked to have an early breakfast because we were going on a day trip and this was no problem. The last day we had a flight home at 4h30 in the morning so they packed us breakfast to take with us and walked us to the taxi meeting point. They have a rooftop terrace that is perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset. The room and bathroom are cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided. Would definitely stay here again!

location was great - just approx 5 mins to the main square. Youseff and Anas were both absolutely wonderful hosts. so friendly and chatty, they made us feel super welcome and had plenty of great suggestions about where to go and the best way to get there. Room was lovely, plenty of space, lovely hot water and extra pillows when requested! despite it being super busy and noisy just a street away, the riad was sooo peaceful. lovely roof terrace too for some great views. cant recommend highly enough, especially for the price.

ItalyYoussef and his brother are very kind and welcoming, they were ready to help us in every aspect of our stay, from the transfers to a takeaway breakfast for our trip to Essaouira, to our questions regarding souk and what to visit. This beautiful Riad is in a central position, perfect for visiting Marrakech. We enjoyed our stay, our rooms in traditional Moroccan style, the terrace with the view on the Medina and the good breakfast. If you plan a visit in Marrakech we highly recommend Riad Vis ta Vie for your permanence, you won't regret it.
