Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room was cramped, so extended stays could become uncomfortable. We would have liked a cooked breakfast option. Otherwise nothing to complain about!
Convenient location for access (2 min walk) to Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Peaceful. Everything was as expected. Small pool with sunbeds on the terrace, which we didn't use because during the coule of days we were there it was a bit windy. A real bonus to cool off on hot afternoons. Not many (if any other) Riads with heated outdoor pools are to be found in the Medina. Polite and helpful staff with sufficient English to make ourselves understood. Beds fine, hot water for showers and aircon. TV with a couple of English speaking channels (mainly CNN on a loop) which was not important to us. Good place for a 2/3 night stay in Marrakech.

LatviaThis is not a city for too much sleeping, so some morning noises and something like construction noises (they had earthquake September 2023) were little bit disturbing. Room size could be bigger for family of 3, but overall ok.
For first time Marrakech visit excellent location just around the corner from Jamaa el Fna in Medina with very friendly staff with great attitude, like visiting own family (should have written down names, sorry). Decent hamam and great massage. Most of tourist attractions in walking distance (Koutoubia, Bahia, Badi, Saadian tombs, Souks, Madrasa Ben Youssef etc.). Not noisy (we were on 2nd floor Mamouth room). Great rooftop terrace (can see Jamaa el Fna in distance) with restaurant and small swimming pool. Good breakfast. Very good cleaning every single day.

United StatesOn my first night I was given a room on the ground floor/waiting area. The rooms on the ground floor are smaller and noisier as the check-in is done in front of your room or in my case, by my interior window.
The staff were extremely nice. I had to leave early the next day, before they served breakfast, as I booked a 3-day excursion and they arranged to bring me a few breakfast treats before I took off. I also appreciated that I was upgraded to another floor on my return and it was more affordable than on this site.

NetherlandsThere was not really a window for fresh air but I expected that. The mattress was a little hard.
Everything! The rooftop, my room, was small but all I needed, very clean and how i’d imagined it in Marrakech.

United KingdomI wish they had more choices in breakfast but I am still happy.
Well it’s almost 2 min away from Jama el Fena square. The staff is very support and friendly although on the last day a lady at reception tried to knock some extra money from me as I wanted to pay by card. Over all it’s best place to be and I will indeed stay again if I have an oppurtunity to visit . Youseff was very kind and helpful.

AustraliaHad a hammam on my last day and it was not steamed and raised this with the hotel staff for either partial compensation or a repeat hammam and I was denied either options. I was told it was done too late however the staff did not make me aware this was an issue as I would.have been happy to forgo and unfortunately it being my first time didn't realise the lacking of steam until it was done. In future I think considerations should be made and it's okay to say no, if a task can't be completed satisfactorily.
The property was true to its pictures and descriptions. It was clean and close proximity to the old city square. For the most part the staff was accommodating.

GermanyMy stay was perfect. The place is very clean, very well organised, perfectly located in the Medina and has great features like the beautiful rooftop with sunbeds and pool. Youssef, Issmaha, Emin and the team were extraordinary helpful and knowing, from restaurant recommendations to activities and airport transfer. Hammam & massage was great too plus the food in the rooftop bar. I travel a lot, I'm used to European standards and this is the place I'll always come back to when in Marrakesh.

United KingdomExcellent location, in the centre of medina, jemaa el fnaa square and less than 5min walks to the souks. Reception staff was very friendly and accommodating, very helpful. Many many thanks to them! The waiters and other staff members were also very welcoming. The breakfast served at the rooftop was delicious, and we had different menus everyday of our stay with fresh orange juice and Moroccan tea. Everything was very clean. We went as a family and stayed in the triple deluxe room, good size and enough room for luggage for a 4night stay. Beautiful interior design and Moroccan style decor. We used the spa and it was amazing. Very private and good service.

United KingdomCONS -Pillows were very high. We told reception. The first person we told just politely laughed. We asked another person for a flatter pillow another day but they said they can't offer one. -The AC at its lowest of 17 was not cold. -They were very tight on their toiletries and we had to really ration it! -The music played on the terrace was stop-start and occasionally very loud. We couldn't hear each other talk. We preferred the quiet. -There was no welcome, introduction or tips for Marrakech unlike our other Riad who were very helpful. -We informed the Riad that we were vegan before we arrived. We understand that this concept is unfamiliar in some parts of the world so we don't expect much. However, everywhere we've been, including the other Riad, made an effort to understand and accommodate. Given the price tag of this place, I guess we hoped for just some plant-based milk or other acknowledgement. Breakfast was the same every day with fruit, bread and rotis. We asked for extra rotis given we couldn't have all the other cakes other people received. Once we were told no. I can't see how this is fair. We paid the same as others. -Another problem is that you're told strictly no drinks or food to be brought from outside, as they have a restaurant. This restaurant could not accommodate our dietary requirements so I found that very restrictive. Our other Riad offered unlimited free water, tea, coffee which was such a bonus. I cannot explain how easy and welcoming it makes things to have free water. Here, you're very much a wallet. -Small thing, but there isn't any where to hang clothes in the bathroom. The rooms are quite small. They also don't have soft-close toilet seats, which fall forward, so we were woken up by neighbours and vice versa with bangs! Overall, this Riad is beautiful, clean with friendly staff and a great location. However, it's not value for money.
We stayed in 2 different riads during our time in Marrakech, so we were able to make some clear comparisons. Riad Wazani was the more expensive one. Here are the pros and cons. PROS -The Riad was kept clean to an extremely high standard. -The staff were friendly. Especially the lady at reception. -The terrace had a beautiful large pool (for Marrakech rooftops) and somewhere you could take a cooling dip. -You could have a massage in the Riad which was convenient. About 200-300 DH. -Airport pick up was seamless. We met the taxi driver easily and then a porter met us to take our suitcases across the Medina where cars couldn't go. This took a great stress off our minds for 150 DH. -Location is the best you can get, right by the main square. Given this, it is extremely quiet in the Riad. We were never woken by external noises and the terrace was quiet albeit the music.
