Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomJust the smell. There is foul odor smell as i am near the shower and toilet.
Its closer to the gate so its convenient when you book an excursion as pick up and drop off is easier. Osama and elias were both amazing most especially to osama who always go above and beyond. Any request you ask he’ll be at your service. Thanks osama for making our stay worthwhile.

United KingdomLocation: I like the location of this Riad since it is just 2 minutes walk from Bab Ben Brahim ( entrance to the Medina of Marrakesh). It means it was easy for us to be picked up and dropped off by all of the tours that we have booked. It’s also within the old city and it’s around 25 minutes walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa ( main square). Facilities: It was all alright, they’ve provided us shampoos and towels and the rooms are air-conditioned. Kettle is provided. Our room for 4 people did not have a refrigerator but the room that we have booked for 2 people has got one. We don’t mind tho as we did not really use it. They clean our room everyday but towels are not changed everyday which is fine by us too. Staff: 10/10 for the hospitality, kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Special thanks to Oussama for going above and beyond to accommodate all of our request. Most of our tours starts at around 07:30am & breakfast in the Riad starts at 08:00am but Oussama agreed to serve it earlier so we can still have it before our tour. He worked really hard to make sure that our stay is comfortable. Thank you Oussama! My friend has booked a massage which normally is only until 10 pm but they really waited for us to get back to the riad although it was already late ( my friends and I got scammed on our way back from having dinner outside). My friend has messaged Oussama if she can still cancel the massage but he said that the masseuse will wait for us to get back. We got back to the Riad almost 11 pm 😔 They have patiently waited for us to return. Be careful with the shower’s temperature, it can be really hot. Bring enough Dirhams as the Riad only accepts cash at the moment.

PolandGreat place with exceptional staff, breakfast and spa. The only down side is the location but it only looks scary. After first few walks we understood that it is safe to walk there day and night.

SpainOur stay at DAR AZUL RIAD was absolutely unforgettable, and a big part of that was thanks to Osama. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home with his kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality. He was always attentive to every detail, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. The riad itself was beautiful, clean, and perfectly located, but what truly made the experience special was the exceptional service. Osama went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakech, and we will definitely be back! Thank you, Osama, for everything!

FranceNothing , just sometimes at night walking the alley could frighten some people . But for us it was okay.
The property was very well located in the old town- easy access to get a taxi or to access the souk by walk.

PolandPersonnel were incredibly nice and helpful. They were quick to answer our questions about the property and flexible in terms of check-in/check-out and paying times. Additionally they tried their best to show us around the area and ensure we were safe after an incident before arriving to the hotel.

ItalyThe members of staff Oussama and Ilyasse were so attentive, helpful and very kind. You won't be able to find any better customer service. The breakfast and dinner were both very tasty and good. The terrace is very cosy and you can ask to have breakfast there. Location is close to Jardins Majorelle. Only cash in dirhams or euros is accepted.

New ZealandThe host Oussama was fantastic. Nothing was too much for him, he printed out boarding passes and booked and walked us to a taxi at a good price. The accomodation was also nice.

United KingdomThe room and public areas could feel fresher, so perhaps an air freshener would help improve the overall ambiance. However, it wasn't a significant issue and didn't impact our stay.
Good value for money and a location at the edge of the old town, about a 30-minute walk to the centre. Situated in an area where locals live, it gives you a chance to experience life outside the main tourist attractions. Despite being slightly away from the centre, we felt safe throughout our stay. I would have rated 8, if it wasn’t for, Oussama, the true highlight of our visit. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience. He met us at the medina doors to help us find the riad and assisted with our luggage. Upon arrival, he welcomed us with amazing Moroccan tea and provided helpful recommendations for our stay. He even walked with us to places and was always available over messages for any assistance while we were out. His flexibility was impressive, arranging an earlier breakfast for us on the day of our excursion. Oussama's friendly and positive attitude made our stay truly memorable.

PortugalThe neighbourhood is not the most beautiful, it is mostly a locals residence area, but we never felt unsafe.
The decoration, simple but beautiful! The terrace was great, you can enjoy the sunset. It is just 2min walking from one of the medina entrances, which was great for taxi. The neighbours are locals, and you can feel the real Marrakesh because of it, with kids playing football outside as an example

United KingdomWe were two families of 4 people that travelled together. We all agreed what a fantastic time we had and that the accommodation was just what we needed. The breakfast was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful, there was a roof terrace to relax on after a hectic day. Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

SpainLiked everything just one small disadvantage (for children and at least in our room) . Water in the shower might run from boiling hot to cool so watch out for small children showering alone.
Everything was great, nice people, nice breakfast, very good location, really calm, everyone respectful. Nice rooftop terrace. Recommend.
