Excellent, characterful riad, ideally situated in the medina, run by exceptional women. We stayed in one of the family suites which was very good value for money. It had a separate double bedroom, twin beds plus a sofa on the mezzanine and another sofa/living room. Beautiful, Moroccan-style bathroom with excellent shower. Breakfast was served in the enclosed roof-top room one morning and outside roof terrace on our second morning as better weather. There’s a lovely communal lounge where they lit a fire for us and served tea after we came in from dinner one evening. There’s a library and another outside patio on the ground floor. The women who run the riad are so friendly and helpful. Beautiful artwork throughout. Exceptionally clean and well-run. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic location deep inside the Medina but surprisingly quiet. The riad is lovely, very traditional furnishings, but also very comfortable. Our family rooms spacious and spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast on the top terrace, outside when it is warm enough, looking over the Medina. There are also sunbeds on the terrace which were lovely to relax into after a lot of walking. Excellent hammam. Fatiha (who seems to be there at all hours of the day and night) could not have been more helpful or informative.

Absolutely amazing riad with amazing staff. This boutique hotel isstunning . Every detail is tasteful and unique. The room was big and comfortable. We had geated matrass. The breakfast was nicely served on the rooftop. I was there on my birthday. The hotel gave me a bottle of champagne. I also had hammam and massage which were the best I ever had. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. Big thanks to the staff.

We were good with everything - but note that there is no parking inside the medina. May not be suitable for clients with walking disability. If you are allergic to cats, Morocco is not recommended. We just loved it all.

Absolutely everything. Superfluous in every way. There can be no better Ryad in Essaouira trust me! Amazing accommodation even down to electric bed warming although not needed during our visit of one week. Incredible hospitality from Hyat, Fatiha and all staff. Immaculately clean and quiet. Great breakfast on the roof patio. Superb restaurants nearby. Wholeheartedly recommended. Friendly safe area in the centre of the medina. All reviews are excellent and speak for themselves. Book and enjoy.

I would give this Riad 1000 points if I could, mainly because of the amazing female staff, and particularly Hayat. You all made my stay wonderful with your kindness and hospitability. I felt so pampered and taken care of. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you! The Riad itself is beautiful, peaceful and spacious. My room was gigantic, and I really liked the design of it. Breakfast is excellent and you cannot get a better location within the centre. I will definitely be back, and next time for a bit longer. If you have the opportunity to stay here, don´t hesitate to book it.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. It was perfect for a week’s stay.

Beautiful and spacious, centrally located and a fantastic staff. We had a family room in this multi-story Riad turned hotel. We loved the upper deck and enclosed breakfast room for breakfast on chilly mornings. Hyatt and Fatiha were charming and helpful with all things. Impeccably clean and well managed, it was in the heart of the Medina.

I wanted to give a score of 10, but was let down by the terrible laundry service. It costs a fortune and your clothes look worse than when you handed them in. Despite giving them in early one morning, my laundry was not returned to me for over 24 hours, and only because I begged for it as I was leaving that day. It was all still wet and my towel was sodden. Others were in the same boat. Black clothes had whitish smudges on them. You should be told in advance that it is not a same day service, or better still it should direct you to a professional laundry and not offer the service. I had virtually no clothes to wear and was unable to go on my regular morning run as I hadn't received my clothes back. Yet it costs double what I paid elsewhere. A riad in Fez returned my clothes back in the evening of the day I had given it my laundry, spotlessly clean and perfectly dry, and charged me half the price. Here my clothes came back very late in a sorry, sodden state and I was still charged the high full price. Also, while I loved my beautiful, light filled room on the top floor, it did not have hot water. It was sufficiently lukewarm, but not great for winter!

Fatima is amazing. She seemed to always be there and always helping guests out. Anything you needed - she was there to help, and never stopped smiling. What an incredible hostess. She has a solution for basically everything, and lets you use the kitchen to boil water, etc. The riad and the room are absolutely beautiful. Breakfast is superb, with wonderful service and so much delicious food! Excellent location. Short walk to the bus station which services Marrakech.

Very helpful and friendly staff and owner. Great location. Interesting room designs. Great breakfast on the roof. Affordable laundry on site. Very clean. Quiet, we had a first floor room facing the alleyway outside but had no problems.

Thank-you for making my daughter and I so welcomed into your riad. we loved the room - it was huge and cosy and just so clean and had such a fantastic cultural feel to it. It was warm - with your heating blanket and even the art work was just gorgeous as well as all the books too. so comfy. The breakfast that we had on the roof terrace was delicious and we also met some wonderful other guests there too. 5 star!!!
