Our toilet leaked water so it didn’t smell so good in the bathroom. We told the staff about this and they said they’d fix it but it wasn’t fixed. Still, the location of the hostel is really good so it worked out fine overall.

Such a good location, only 10 min walking from the port, totally doesn’t look like a hostel, amazing views, the friendliest staff (thank you!!!!)

The only downside was their recommended taxi service, which costs 250 dirhams. The driver still parks at the base of the fortress instead of at the entrance of alley where the hostel located. If you book your own taxi, it takes you directly to the entrance of the alley and the cost is around 100 DH to 150DH from the airport. If you’re local then you can get a normal price - around 55-65 Dirhams. The hostel will provide you a video guide telling you how to walk to the hostel after getting off the taxis.

I stayed during the off-peak season, and with plenty of leisure spaces like rooms with sofas, a terrace, and a rooftop, the accommodation felt spacious and comfortable. It wasn’t crowded, and I met some nice people, which added to the experience.

This was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The owner traveled all over the world and worked in many hostels before starting Socco Hostel. Literally everything that has ever bothered you in a hostel has been taken care off. And on top of that the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and always down for a chat. I'll definitely return there!

Our room was located just below the rooftop terrace and this meant that there was some noise in the evening and before breakfast when they were moving furniture. We could also hear noise coming from the hallway. But this is all solved with some earplugs, which you'll want to pack anyway for the early prayers

Amazing hosts, we arrived while they were celebrating a birthday of one of the staff, and we were instantly offered a piece of cake and a drink. Overall very friendly and helpful people, always ready to give advice. Well located in the Medina and while it's a bit hard to find, they sent us a video on Whatsapp which explains it very well. Nice rooftop terrace as well

Having to leave!!

Very conveniently placed, next to the port and the souk market, the place is a gem in the middle of it. It has a beautiful and charming terrace, clean and nicely decorated rooms but what makes it even more exceptional it’s its staff. Lovely young people who were excited to make our wedding anniversary the best so far… From preparing us a romantic lovely dinner in the terrace (wonderful cheff and recipes) to arrange us a taxi to visit Cape Espartel and Hercules Caves the next day… We couldn’t have been in a better place! Thanks to all of you for making us feel so special. We won’t ever forget it.

The location is great. Easy access to everything within and outside the Medina. The roof terrace is an added bonus not to mention the traditional Moroccan breakfast. Rama welcomed us and the staff were very caring with us and particularly our three children under 10 (my little ones left comments on sticky notes giving the hostel a 5 star rating). They also had live music on the Friday we stayed. .Would recommend the tour bus hop-on hop-off. It has two different routes from which you can explore the city and Hercules grotto. The hostel is a brilliant place for families.

Socco Hostel's location makes it easily accessible, it's within the old Medina, but close to the new city, the staff were amazing, specially Issam, he saw to my every need, the facilities were great, the rooms were clean and well kept, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, with a good shower, breakfast was delicious, the terrace had a beautiful view of the sea and the boardwalk, all in all, it was an amazing stay, I would definitely recommend it.

I would definitely come back to this hostel if I was in Tangier ! The location was perfect, and the room and fscilities were all very clean and modern. The bathroom inside the dorm is always a great bonus. Everything you need from a hostel, even a rooftop.
