Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesGreat hostel. It's very new and in a great location. I had a great time, and the facilities are good with great rooftop views. The staff were amazing and welcoming. I totally stay here again.

GermanyI came as one of the first guest after the opening of the hostel and left with the certitude that for my next stay in Tanger I don‘t have to search any more for accomodation. The owner hinself traveled a lot in the world abd wanted this hostel to become one built upon his best experiences… and I can only conform, I felt so welcome in this amazing building with a lot of meeting places and the wonderful rooftop!

United StatesOur shower did overflow into our room, but this was handled super professionally by the owner and resolved. It's brand new, so I think they're still working out the kinks a bit. Also, while I was SO appreciative of the curtains on the bunk beds, it would be even better if they were thicker to block out the strong sunlight in the mornings.
This was our favorite accommodation for our whole Morocco trip! Place is brand new and completely purpose-built, meaning curtains on beds, great storage in the room, electronic key fobs, etc. The breakfast is great and the rooftop had an insanely amazing 360 view! And the staff are lovely and the owner clearly has put his heart and soul into the place and wants you to have a perfect stay! We had such good sleeps here and highly recommend. Perfect location as well, with lots of great advice from staff for what to see in the area, and seems great for solo travellers, as group activities are scheduled throughout the week if you want to join as well. Love the vibe, decor, and comfort of this place!

United KingdomNot a critism of the hostel at all but you cannot get alcohol in the medina and the hotel did not want us bringing it in from outside (this was fine with us, it was Ramadan). You can buy alcohol in the modern part of town, just a 15 minute walk from the medina.
Amazing location right in the heart of the medina. Really helpful and friendly staff, they helped us a lot during our stay. We stayed in the suite which was spacious and had its own balcony. The hosts made up a single bed for our son and the room was plenty big enough for 3.

CanadaRegarding the bunk beds...for people 1,88m (6'2") or more who like to stretch out uninhibited by a footboard...you might want to opt for the single or double beds.
We had an excellent view of the harbour from the rooftop patio while eating a freshly prepared breakfast. You feel the staff is invested in the success of this hostel, and they aim to please. Everything was exceptionally clean...from the bed linens to the floors, bathrooms and common areas.

Czech RepublicNothing.
This place really has heart. Leila and her husband are wonderful hosts, it's not just about accommodation but actually a fresh cultural and creative hub. All the staff are super friendly. It's a hostel, so of course the rooms are simple. But the furnishings are stylish, modern, clean, shining with newness. What's most fascinating is the terrace. It provides an absolutely incredible 360 view of the Kasbah, the new town and the marina. As I was visiting Morocco during Ramadan, I also attended the traditional evening iftar - a delicious meal. Even though I was leaving early, I got my breakfast packed. There was no problem arranging a taxi to the airport. In fact, nothing was a problem. Next time hopefully I will be able to stay more than one night!

MoroccoThat I had to leave !!! 🥲
This is a brand new hostel and they spared no expense to make it unique and absolutely stunning - from the artisanal decor using local artists for wall murals and neighbours to make breakfast bread, the place is much more than where I slept. As for the facts: it’s super clean, 2 rooftops (where I did yoga) with port view, many hang out areas, rain shower, extra bunk bed space to be able to sit up, bathroom in room and on each floor. 2 kitchens to use. Oh and yes wonderful beds (firm but comfortable- not hard). I went for 2 nights and stayed a week because the hostel was just incredible. Reda and Leila (owners) & Dalal are present and helpful with restaurant suggestions and bus bookings etc. Each bunk bed has a curtain a special lamp and charging station 😄

AustraliaWe were older couple and at least 30 years older than any other guests, yet they put us on top floor with no lift. Roof top has kitchen and extremely loud noise from staff echoes to room are not able to sleep. Asked staff to keep noise down but no luck. Then they are at it again early to prepare breakfast. If you want to sleep more than 5-6 hours don't accept 3rd floor room. Bed was a hard slab. Caused aches and pains.
Location and modernised building. Most of all staff were great and informative. Carried bags up to 3rd floor for us as no lift.

United StatesStaff - The male front desk personnel gave our room number to a female guest who was looking for the one hair dryer (my fault for not returning it ASAP since I did not know there was only one for the entire hostel). He called my WhatsApp at midnight (thank goodness that my phone was on silent mode). She came knocking very loudly at exactly 12:05 midnight, followed by that male front desk to ask for the hair dryer, not respecting the hour of the day and that it was an all-female room. That situation was very unsafe and unethical, with him knowing full well that there were Moslem women in that female room who may not have their appropriate head clothing in the middle of the night just to open the door for a hairdryer (definitely not an emergency that calls for this behavior). Recommend telling customers that the hair dryer must be returned as soon as done. Recommend educating the staff about room safety, security, and respect for QUIET HOURS. Bad Odor in the attached bathroom/shower emanated into the room which is common in these review threads. Far from the central train and bus stations (but very close to the Medina and port)
Location- right at the heart of the Medina and Tanger Ville port, but about a 60 min walk from the central bus and train stations and 30-min walk from Najma bus stop (airport shuttle). It ka a little hard to find but you will receive a video in WhatsApp that’ll tell you how to get there Staff - Most of the staff were really helpful, especially Fatima (front desk) who gave me all the needed information and recommendations for a tourist. View - The view from the rooftop was outstanding. Recommend eating at the top floor to see morning views of the port and the Medina Good Breakfast - typical Moroccan with mint tea or coffee (only protein source was a hard-boiled egg) Privacy - the bunk beds were positioned perfectly that honored privacy. Each bunk had its privacy curtain and wall lamp
