Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MoroccoI recently had the pleasure of staying at Sunhostel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The first thing that stood out was the consistently hot water, providing the most refreshing showers. The water pressure was fantastic, and the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities was impeccable. Sunhostel's location couldn't be better. Situated in a prime area, it offered easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation. Despite its central location, the hostel was surprisingly quiet, creating a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist, making the overall atmosphere warm and welcoming. I can confidently give Sunhostel a perfect 10/10 rating. If you're looking for a place with hot water, excellent showers, a convenient location, and a quiet environment, Sunhostel is the ideal choice. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

BrazilI liked everything. It’s a lovely hostel. It’s 100% clean , the room is very good, the bed is big and comfortable, the rooftop is a wonderful place . The breakfast is very good , the owners are very kind and helpful. And the location couldn’t be better . Is inside the medina but not in the fullest area, so there is no noise to disturbing sleep.

SpainThe breakfast was not great - only one boiled egg and some bread and jam. But considering it's a hostel, getting any breakfast included at all is a plus!
Friendly staff, comfortable room with heat. Great location. Regular cleaning of the bathrooms and replenishing toilet paper.

PortugalCoffee was not an option for breakfast, but tea was available. The wifi signal was weak or nonexistent in the our room.
The day before our arrival, we got a message with a guide to get to the hostel safely, a list of the best restaurants in the area and a list of the touristic tours available. Sun hostel was clean and perfumed. Ou was super responsive via whatsapp, always available to help with any issue.

MoroccoThe staff spoke poor english. They didn’t have enough entrance door keys and towels for all the guests. I forgot my passport in the hostel and noticed just at the airport. When I tried calling to arrange someone to bring it to me no one picked up. It was 5am so I can understand people are sleeping.
No street noise. Breakfast included and since I had to leave early in the morning they even gave it to me the evening before.

NetherlandsPaid to much taxes at arrival, because I booked a 2-persons room for myself. My booking was for 1 person but was told I made a booking for 2, so had to pay the taxes twice.
Great location on less than 10min walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, and quiet area. Price-quality as expected. Rooms en sanitary are small but very clean en showers are good. Moroccan breakfast served at the roof-terrace is very nice! Also the shuttle from the airport was good arranged, and they came to pick me up at the point the taxi couldn’t get into the medina any further. So I didn’t have to find my way through the medina myself at night to find the location.

BelgiumThe road to access the hostel might seem a bit dark, but it’s just the first impression, the area feels safe, with lively local homes and other hotels nearby.
The hostel is quiet and clean, the rooms are simple but nice and very good position in the Medina. Very good value for money.

BulgariaNothing, we were left with only positive experiences!
We were in Morocco for 9 days and stayed in 6 different accommodations in 5 different cities - Sun Hostel was the BEST by far! It was the cleanest and coziest of all the places we stayed in. We felt very welcomed - communication with the host Hassan was great even before we arrived - he messaged us to make sure we were okay and that we could find the location; he provided useful tips on how to navigate the streets of the Medina to find it. He was the best host we could have - very friendly and welcoming. He speaks fluent English (which was a problem with a lot of the other places), he was very knowledgeable of the city and did everything to help us feel at home at Sun Hostel. For the hostel itself: -very clean -air conditioner in the room -kitchen for common use with utensils and appliances (oven, stove top, fridge, washing machine) -clean towels, sheets, TP; always warm water -breakfast included with very tasty Moroccan tea -great location -great price -effortless communication -BEST HOST!

SpainThe receptionist is a very noisy person who does not respect the guests' rest. Laughter and voices at all hours with a cocky and disrespectful attitude. In addition, the breakfast is very basic. If you are going to sleep on the street you can spend a night in the hotel, but I do not recommend a longer stay.
The girl in the kitchen is very kind and respectful.
