Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Only Hostel where you can sleep in peace with the sound of the waves. Great host that fixes everything quickly and looks after his guests like family.

Enjoyed my stay there a lot :) Simo, the host is super nice and committed to make your stay and the hostel as good as possible. Whenever I needed something it was there within 10 minutes!! He is super driven to improve the hostel further on so don't be shy to tell him further improvements. The terrace and the location are amazing and you won't find a better and cheaper hostel that close to the beach, resteraunts, surf shops and supermarket. Besides that the hostel is quite basic, but has everything you need to hang and relax in Sidi. Looking forward to my next stay

The bathroom light wasn’t working but I’m sure it will be replaced soon cause they didn’t know about it. And the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and more water on the shower.
Stephane, the receptionist was really really friendly and helpful. we enjoyed it a lot to be at the rooftop at night and the room with sea view was amazing.

The location of the hostel is amazing, one step away from the beach. The atmosphere in the hostel is great and I would definitely recommend to see the sunset from the rooftop. The owner of the hostel is amazing, we forgot our wetsuit and he went above and beyond to get the wetsuit to our next destination with a taxi. I would definitely stay again in this hostel!

Its such a beautiful place, just 1min to the beach and with a rooftop terasse! Is a small hostel so its really relaxed and calm. Stefan who is working there is so kind and helps you with everything you need. Just the perfect place to stay in Sidi Kaouki!

Simo and his mom are beautiful and caring. We loved staying there. The house is authentic Morocco village house, don’t expect luxury or a renovated structure. It was very quiet, welcoming and well priced stay. Thanks and best wishes for the future.

The host welcomes me upon arrival and was hospitable. The place is in good location to the beach. It also a nice terrace for watching the sunset at night . I would stay here again

Shower needs a little fixing up but other than that- a perfect hostel
Amazing hostel. Owner is so nice and also works in the bar nearby which I also highly recommend (the tagine is amazing). We booked the double room with a sea view and it was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. Thank you for a lovely stay!

all was very good
The staff is very very professional and attentive....SIMO our host was exceptionally kind. The breakfast is wonderful, the property is there. The decor is artistic ... I enjoyed it too much. The people of the village are too respectful and never bother the tourists, they only intervene to help... Surfing enthusiasts like me will find their pleasure.

The bathroom and the kitchen were dirty, both need to be updated, the toilet moved when sat on, and the floor was constantly wet the toilet seat was broken, There were no towels after asking for them.. I know this is a hostel but there should be some kind of cleanliness when you book a private room
The view from the room was amazing overlooking the beach, and the sunset was right in front,

The hostel was hard to find as it wasn’t on gps maps and there wasn’t a sign for it on the main road.
Great location just off the beach. Great ocean view from upper terrace!

The hostel is not expensive, but I would at least expect that they would clean the bathrooms. They where very dirty even for my standards. It looked like the weren’t cleaned in a long time. Also my bed was full of sand even though I hadn't been to the beach yet.
The location and the rooftop were very nice. The staff was friendly.

The room was very dirty, they don’t change the bed sheets. We asked the boy for a refund because we didn’t want to spend the night in such a dirty place. The owner apologised and offered a free breakfast, but we only wanted to rest in a clean place. I don’t understand the other opinions I read here before booking.
They gave our money back and apologised
