Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceNO Shoes upstairs, that’s all I can think about! ahaha
SURF -> direct access to the rocks of Anchor Point downstairs, special surf area with shower + surf racks. Rooftops to check Anchor, or literally 2mn walk to see Mystery. AMAZING LOCATION, a luxury for surfers :) HOUSE -> Great dorm! Mattresses are comfy, slept like a baby! 3 showers upstairs (HOT) + 3 toilets in total. Big kitchen + Moroccan salon to cook & chill. You will feel home in less than 48 hours! Come as you are :) Special mention to Valou & Thibaud the owners (kind, careful, flexible) + the lovely volunteers + Malika the nice cleaning lady. This is house is full of humanity! 🫶

United KingdomI’m just an English ‘wimp’ but I would have preferred a fan in the room.
I enjoyed my stay here very much, the people were very welcoming and the location was perfect for me, right on the beach. You could hear the sea from your room! If you get dropped off at Anchor Point, it’s the first blue door straight ahead of you after a few steps (see picture). The food was very nice and it was my first time staying in Taghazout and it definitely didn’t disappoint:)

United KingdomThe room was right next to the bathrooms/toilets, so we got a bit of that sewer smell and could hear the "toilets' sounds". It was annoying, but we managed to deal with it.
Great location away from busy Taghazout. Great terrace with the ocean view.

United KingdomIf you wanted to be more central there is a 15 min walk into town (or use their bikes like I did - 5 mins). Perfect location for surfing anchor point. You’re literally next to it.
Super chill place. Didn’t want to leave. The 2 guys who run it are perfect. So easy going and a couple of great guys. The cleaner comes round couple times a week and does an awesome job. Loved the terrace looking over the sea. I’ll be back for sure. Merci bc 😁🤙

United StatesThe walk to town is along a rough and sometimes busy road OR along a cliff trail through campers and rocks, 15-20 mins of walking. This can be good, as the place isn’t swarming with tourists every night ;)
Nice location with front row seats to the surfing at Anchor Point (an expert surf break due to the sharp rocks and steep waves) We liked the place, more Morocco than Europe feeling- lots of outdoor space and pretty tiled bathroom. The floor we slept on housed the surf boards and got humid, just part of being by the beach. It is definitely a hostel so expect to share kitchen, tables, and noises. The staff are super kind, especially the volunteer who works so hard to give guests a warm welcome. Bring her gifts and get ready to chill 😎

AustraliaThe kitchen was a bit dirty as it was outside and many guests didn’t clean up after themselves. Can get noisy at night with the shared living area above the bedrooms, depends on the guests staying there at the time though.
Location was incredible, right on the water and super close to the surf break of anchor point. The private room was great, enough space for two with a cupboard as well to store your luggage. The hostel managers were always around to help. Downstairs area to store your surfboard and a shower to rinse off from the surf, great set up! Shared kitchen was great for cooking your own meals. Awesome shared lounge area with ocean views!

AustraliaThe Location is on the edge of town and gives a great sense of space overlooking Anchor Point. The guys who own the property are relaxed, welcoming and chilled. The hostel is a great size with only a few rooms so everyone staying gets to know each other. Everyone that stayed there on our visit stayed on longer than planned and everyone was super excited to be staying in such a cool location. When the surf is on, it’s on and a fantastic place to watch from. ( and surf from) We will be back for sure and highly recomend.
Excellent location looking over the famous surf spot Anchor Point. Can walk to beach

AustraliaThe whole feeling of the place is awesome! Perfect location and awesome staff l. If you are looking to relax outside the hustle of taghazout, this is perfect. A short bike ride and you will be in town if you need supplies, otherwise there is no reason to leave. Perfect for surfing (all levels, as anchor point is about 50m away and killers is a short walk, plus the beach offers beginner waves for those who are learning) and chilling out with the beautiful view. The two fellas running it are very facilitating and welcoming. Can’t recommend this place enough. Velou (one the owners) is a great cook as well and can whip up an awesome tagine on prior-request.
