Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaThere was not any blockade for the second floor bed, which made me nervous to sleep. And they didnt take cash. Even though they said it was possible to pay by card, they changed their word by saying that paying by card is for more than 30 euros. They didnt say so at first.
The breakfast was more than I expected. And their location was near the ferry.

United KingdomMy dorm (6) and I was told some others, suffered from seriously damp walls. That may have been due in part to the three preceding days of very heavy rain and the age of the building. It was also quite dark with a very low wattage lamp. Others might have found this unacceptable. I would have preferred a brighter and dryer dorm but it wasn't at all intolerable - especially at the price- and I'd very happily stay again.
The location was perfect. The Medina is hugely evocative and interesting - if a bit of a culture shock if you've not been to similar type places before. The staff - though small in number - are fantastic. The rooftop was during my time there a fantastic gathering place and focal point where it was impossible after a minute or two not to socialise and be drawn into conversation. The free, 'local' breakfasts were filling and excellent though if you want ( I didn't) standard 'western' hotel type fare you might be disappointed.

SpainOur room was next to the reception, with no real door so very noisy. The room didn’t lock. It was not so clean. Also, we had an issue with the transport the riad booked to go to the airport: 45min after the agreed time it was still not there..
The place is perfectly located, the terrace is nice

SloveniaNo soap and toilet paper in the bathroom :( Rooms are quite small. It can get noisy if your room is in the second floor, under the rooftop terase (which is beautiful!). But this is what creats a hostel’s atmosphere so you know well in advance what to expact when you book a hostel :)
Staff was very nice and helpfull

RomaniaThe window was just heading towards the riad hallway and could barely be closed with a lock. Leaving stuff unattended there felt a bit insecure. Also, bathroom has no window and ventilation was very loud.
Location was great, close to the taxi station at Grand Hotel Boulevard which made it easy for us to leave to the airport in the morning. Cosy vibe and they helped us to pay by card (one of the fewest times in Morocco) by going to a shop and using their POS.

BrazilThe bedroom doors don’t close easily and their extremely loud. Bathroom is inside the bedroom and the door was just as loud as the bedroom door. Also there were no lockers to keep your belongings safe - the one available were too small to keep a travel bag.

United StatesThe breakfast that was included is supposed to start at 9:30 but there was a delay so we had to take it to-go to catch our bus. Also, this isn't really the hostels fault, but the other occupants in the 8 bed dorm were horrible (made a mess of the bathroom, were talking loudly on the phone at night when people were sleeping, looking at all the sleeping guests in the room and acting creepy, etc.) Perhaps more security measures could help this problem, otherwise I'd suggest booking in a smaller dorm or private room.
The building is nice and has a beautiful rooftop where the breakfast is served. It has a good location and friendly staff, and the beds were comfortable. The wifi was good as well.
