Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt’s by the Central Market and not on the best of streets. But the nicer areas of the city including pedestrian only street is literally a five to ten minute walk away and I enjoyed exploring the Central market and life of everyday working class Moldovans. Don’t be afraid of the lessons they can teach.
It’s very quiet and comfortable and a good value. Plenty of privacy. Honest proprietors.

RomaniaThe window blinds should be changed, and the room door offers no soundproofing against the outside.

United KingdomNo idea why it’s called a hotel. It’s a chalet in someone’s garden but nothing wrong with that. Just strange.

United KingdomI have very acute hearing, it’s a mixed blessing essentially; if the room had quadruple glazing & sound proofing, it would improve the room immensely thus allowing a guest to sleep like a baby. An additional duvet would be a good idea especially for those chilly Chisinau nights in the winter months. The plug sockets in the shower room need some attention as one wasn’t fitted properly and the other near the sink was loose, hence why I moved the mini hairdryer into the bedroom where it worked perfectly. The radiator had no controls to adjust the amount of heating on an evening, that is easily remedied with small portable heaters which can be plugged in & stored in the wardrobe when the summer weather comes as would the thicker duvet being stored in the wardrobe during the Moldovan summer. A bedside cabinet would enhance the room’s aesthetics & allow for a nice bedside touch lamp for parents stopping over with babies. As a parent, I know how it is when families come to stay; surprisingly babies also have very acute hearing as well.
Nice shower room, lovely curved bath with shower attachment; nice smooth tiles, nice mini fridge/freezer; nice tv, decent sized wardrobe; comfortable chairs for sitting on, nice small hair dryer for drying hair. Nice headboard with diamanté, comfortable mattress; nice bed throw. Nice wash basin, Jack & Jill toilet; nice kettle with glass coffee mugs & nice drinking glasses. The wi-fi worked very well, the tv worked very well; the kettle worked fine. The mini fridge/freezer was in good working order. Nice net curtains with a silky feeling to them. Nice blinds to keep light out. Nice room with very nice aesthetics. The electric key fob is great for accessing the property, the garden furniture was nice to sit on & It’s vicinity to the local market, coffee shops; other amenities & tourist attractions such as theatres, parks & the beautiful Cathedral with it’s unique bell tower, the Eternal Flame War memorial; the city’s numerous restaurants & coffee shops, supermarkets & shopping malls. Everything is in walking distance of the Hotel Lidia, so if you like hiking around the City of Chisinau, then this small hotel near the market is ideal.

El SalvadorNothing, really. Everything moved smoothly. If the staff spoke a little English, it would've been more helpful, but they were kind enough to be patient.
This location was pretty centrally located in Chișinău and was appropriately cleaned, they allowed us a late check out because our bus was overnight. Overall, pretty great.

United KingdomThe location was ideal for where we needed to go, market, shops and restaurants are nearby, quiet night for sleeping, apartment was clean and plenty of hot for the shower. We arrived by car so important to send a message to reserve a place to park if needed. The host (a lady) speaks a little English but be aware a man might answer the phone who only speaks Russian, hangup and call later to speak to the host if you don't speak Russian or send a message direct to the host via booking.com. To enter the premises look to the black gates on the right hand side of the building, there you will find an intercom. Finally our apartment didn't have air-conditioning but wasn't a problem, apartment remained cool without it.

CanadaThere were ants in our room. The bedsheets weren't fresh enough. Also, I had heavy suitcases and had to take them up the stairs to my room to floor 3. No elevator, no help with the luggage offered.
