Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Absolutely everything was incredibly nice, the staff, the location of the hotel, the beds. If you come to Kotora, let it be your first choice.

Really nice bathroom with enough showers and toilets to accommodate everyone. The common area has a terrace and is good for relaxing or talking to people.

Very nice hostel with view to the sea. Beautiful kitchen and balcony. Very social atmosphere. Close to Old Town, supermarket, restaurants. Very clean. I had a nice double/single room. The dorm looks nice, too.

It would have been better, if there are some complementary tea/coffee arrangements for the guests. We could not turn on the TV in the common area. Its nice to see the local news while having meal at the common area.
Great location to enjoy Kotor old town and boat ride. We missed our flight and had to shift our stay by one day. They were happy to accommodate us without any additional charge.

The location was great, close to the beach, great view from the terrace, kitchen to use and very clean shared bathrooms. The hosts also organized trips which we didn't take advantage of, but they were the same price and more convenient than what the rest of town had to offer. Would stay again for longer.

The hostel is next to Kotor beach, super easy to access, and only 15 minutes from the downtown. In addition, everything is new and clean and very well designed. The host was very friendly and helped us booking the activities we wanted.

Kitchen lacking some basic equipment. Needs more cutlery, sharp knife, bowls etc.
Loved the location. Away from noisy old town and only 50m to main beach. Modern and clean. Good AC.

Only thing which would be a useful addition is hooks in room to hang things, a clothes rack on terrace to dry clothes as people were hanging on chairs so couldn’t sit on them and also more knives to chop food
Brilliant location, so close to beach and old town. Very clean rooms and bathroom and showers. Close to supermarket. Kitchen kept clean. Staff helpful and booked a boat trip through them and got 5€ off.

Took me a while to find the guesthouse as google map was pointing at the middle part of the street but it was right next to the dobro'ta restaurant.
The interiors and views from the balcony were amazing. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean.

Showers were a bit squishy and no where to put your stuff inside the cubicle
Staff were really friendly and welcoming. In a perfect location with a balcony overlooking the water. Rooms were comfortable and it was all very clean, especially the bathroom

There is nowhere in the shower cubicle to put your towel or clothing where it won’t get wet, leaving you no choice but to put it in a pile outside the cubicle (on the floor). You then have to open the door, wet and naked, to get your things. Not ideal

I suppose the room was quite small and there wasn't much storage? But that was really minor and most things in the property were amazing! We had a great stay. It was more expensive than any of our other accommodations in Montenegro and Albania but that's because it was in Kotor.
The property was really clean and the aircon worked really well. Even though we had to share a bathroom it was incredibly clean and not very busy.

The location is amazing, just by the bay and about 15-20 minutes walk to the bus station. The rooms were ACed, we had our own fridge and everything was new and clean. The bathroom was super nice as well. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a chill affordable place to stay in Kotor.

Nothing to dislike! Not a single thing I can think of that wasn’t amazing.
The property was immaculate! Amazing bathroom facilities, the bed was very comfortable with a wall socket and shelf next to you, and the lockers were great! The location is unbeatable - right next to the beach and less than a 10 minute walk into the heart of old town. There’s also lots of great bars and cafes as you walk along the coast away from the old town, so really I think the location is better than staying in the old town itself. The staff were so welcoming, kind and happy to help with absolutely anything you could need. I genuinely could not recommend this place more highly!

Suzana was really great, not only did she assist us in the hostel stuff, but also helped us plan our day and assisted us with getting good deals for boat rides and taxis.. Best location, directly on the bay, you can take boat tours just under the hostel. They also offer lockers!
