Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was clean with all the needed accessories and plenty of space! Location was perfect for reaching all the sights of the city. Staff very helpful and the buffet area was top notch. Will visit again!

I had an amazing stay at Illyria Hotel! The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The staff was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Ulcinj.

Nice clean hotel no complaints. Good breakfast and decent coffee, nice and clean and friendly staff recommend to any visitors. A little walk in the center of Ulcinj but exactly what we wanted for our stay. All facilities worked fine. Nice reception and bar area

fantastic experience from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring. The bed was particularly cozy, making it easy to relax and recharge. The hotel is still relatively new and could use a few small improvements. The shower lacks a separate wall or glass, so the bathroom tends to flood after each use. The beds were uncomfortable for us, with very hard/firm mattresses and pillows. However, we understand this is a matter of personal preference, and others may find them comfortable. The beds were also quite small, and our feet stuck out during the night.
The property is in an ideal location. It’s close enough to town to walk to the center, yet far enough to avoid the heaviest traffic. Access to the main road is easy, making it convenient to reach the big beach. The room was spotless, with everything thoughtfully arranged and well-maintained. The staff was outstanding and extremely friendly. They ensured we had everything we needed and greeted us each day with a smile, making us feel truly welcome. We also received an upgrade upon arrival, which was a lovely gesture. The breakfast was simple but offered a nice selection of options.

Everything went well at this Hotel, the staff was great and also the ammenities of the hotel were super. The food at the restaurant was super they have a great Chief. We definitly recomend this if you travel to Montenegro.

We had trouble using WIFI in our room. Breakfast had poor options. Issues with smells in the bathroom. Towells were not replaced on time - we had to ask every day for them. Glasses are missing in the room, and the hair dryer is only on demand. There were no chairs on the balcony nor driers for beach towels. It is a new hotel, and they had just opened, hoping they will make these things better for next season.
The room was clean, and the furniture was brand new. The room is spacious, well isolated from the outside noise. Staff was kind and helpful.

Windowless rooms. I never thaught I should be looking for windows in teh photos, because I never assumed there would be windowless hotel rooms. The was one small window in the bathroom, which looked over a corridor, so anzone could sneak in right into the shower / so basicallz at the worst spot.
The place is brand new. Good for a one/night staz, but not longer. It is a room to have a place to sleep, but not for a holiday. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was okay, coffee pretty good! It has to be noted though that it is not a hotel building, but a bigger house, where the top floor has the rooms to rent.
