Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaNothing as such.
The property was absolutely beautiful and added such a rustic yesteryear charm to our trip. The olive estate made it even better. Andjela as the host was one of the best and so super responsive and caring.

United KingdomWould suggest a rental car due to location, and the road up to the property needed some repairs but this is the same across all of where we travelled on Montenegro.
The Villa was beautiful, the room was lovely and the grounds were also stunning and very well maintained. The kitchen had all that you need and the room was a good size and with air conditioning was also very comfortable. The swimming pool was clean, warm and also a good size for the family. The family/hosts could not have been more available and helpful for the whole visit and always helped with suggestions on where to go, booked reservations and also provided lifts to locations when asked, Andjela was always available and we saw Lazar every day as he was at the property to do the garden and maintain. Lazar was great when we had to take our little man to a medical centre and took us, stayed with us for the duration and helped with translations he was brilliant. All in all they were a wonderful family and great place to stay off the beaten track and away from the centre of town.

PolandSteep and narrow driveway - what is probably common in Montenegro but we are not used to such ;)
Wonderful place, like on the pictures and like in the movie. Villa, olive trees, swimming pool, very nice and helpful owners.

EstoniaEverything was great, but we would probably like a little more privacy.
Thanks a lot. Very nice view, beautiful olive trees, very fancy and lovely looked villa. Thank a hospitable host family. Evening illuminations make this house looks great. Comfortable and quiet in the evening garden to rest after long trips during the day.

PolandNo single thing to complain about.
We liked everything: the house and its high quality equipment, beautiful garden, the way how the owners have taken care of us. The place is amazing, charming, fabulous. Only nice surprises and happy days and evenings are in the offer of the Olive Queen. The hosts are wonderful. Those guests who decide for holidays there are lucky ones. It was a shame to leave. It would be good to come back.

United KingdomI think the main negative was lack of privacy. It was difficult to relax never knowing if someone was going to turn up at the property. The unmade track to the property was not what we were expecting. It was made of loose stones on a very steep slope. It seems that thus type of road is common in Montenegro but we probably wouldn't have booked the apartment knowing this. There were a number of minor problems which seem trivial, but when added up they were tiresome. The television had to be returned by Lazar every day as it disconnected from the internet every time it was turned off. One day we had no water, another day no hot water, another day no wifi, just minor niggles but it spoilt the stay somewhat. It would have been lovely to have tea/coffee making facilities in the apartment and not to have to go down to the kitchen which was down some steps. Lucky, there were no other occupants so the kettle could be moved to the apartment. A little tray with coffee sachets, tea bags, milk and sugar sachets would have been welcomed. A hire car is necessary if you want to fully explore the area and for shopping as it is a long walk into town and a very steep walk back to the apartment with heavy shopping bags. It would have been nice to have fresh towels every day rather than having to wash them in the kitchen sink every day as there was no washing machine. It's unfortunate that a neighbour is building a property right in the view line of the apartment.
Andjela couldn't have been more helpful. From the start she kept in touch via WhatsApp and arranged all the details so everything was in place before arrival. She also sorted out a passport problem with the British Embassy in Podgorica. Fantastic service and she went above and beyond to organise things. Andjela offered to get groceries in ready for arrival so there was no need to go immediately into town. Lazar and Micha provided fabulous airport transfers and their driving was safe and comfortable. The surroundings were magical, with olive trees, twinkling lights at night, a beautiful clean swimming pool, and a garden full of flowers and butterflies including swallowtails. The hills surrounding the property reverberated with the sounds of cow bells at night and the gentle chirping of grasshoppers. The air-conditioning in the apartment was very effective and kept the surroundings comfortable for sleeping, despite the temperatures being in the high 20's all week. Lazar maintained the pool and gardens beautifully, and they are a credit to him. Any problems were addressed promptly and politely within the hour. There are numerous grocery stores 10 minutes drive from the apartment. Stari Bar Old Town is just down the road and is absolutely beautiful 😍.
