I stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night and the area is busy with activity….as well as noise until after midnight. The hotel did give me fair warning about this in two separate emails, and I was okay with it. But it is something to keep in mind if you are looking for peace and quiet.

The location was amazing!! The hotel faced La Savane park in the center of Fort de France with easy walking distance to all the main sites and restaurants. The “A” bus that runs through the airport goes straight to the street in front of the hotel and only costs 1.45 Euro. The room was clean and comfortable. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful!!

AC's filters could be cleaned or replaced (a lot of dust was visible on the filters). The shower cap didn't work properly - needs replacement, water was barely dripping. Also, the shower cabin doesn't have a door so a lot of water was splashed making a mess on the floor. The toilet room itself doesn't have a door either. The door for the dressing didn't work properly. The safe couldn't be used - the information given for the password reset was conflicting with the safe model ( which was stuck in the wall).

Cozy room. Nice location close to numerous restaurants, bus stations, seaside. Smoking area in the lobby - nicely decorated. Cleaning lady was great! Wi-fi connection is ok.

A second set of pillows would have been good as the ones we had were very flat. And the shower would have benefited with a shower curtain to contain the water from going out as much.

Centrally located within Fort-de-France, cafes, restaurants, shops and the markets are within walking distance, making it an ideal location. The reception lady was very friendly and welcoming, and very helpful with any questions we had. She also recommended different places within the city and around the island. Whilst the room was a bit tight in size with all our luggage, it was clean and comfortable. The double glazed windows masked the outside noise. Wi-Fi was great and fast, A/C worked well and there was a coffee machine which was bliss first thing in the morning. We could also easily find street parking for our rental car.

Reception only available from 12 midday to 8pm. You get a number to contact if any issue. However, they didn't answer when contacted as the building alarm when off on our first night. Nothing was address future morning. We were out on the street as the alarm blasted whilst being approached by homeless/ drug addicted individuals~ very unstaff situation.

Many areas for improvement: 1. Better quality toilet paper (2-ply was cheap & terrible, see photo) 2. Provide steady supply of water for shower. (We were on 3rd floor with low water pressure and sometimes, water flow just stopped. We assume someone on second floor was using water too.) 3. Provide at least 8 hangers for closet (even cheap plastic ones, our room had 2 wooden ones and one flimsy wire hanger) 4. Provide fold up suitcase rack (the rack was part of the desk and just big enough for a carryon) 5. No breakfast; many hotels without a restaurant still have an area where one can get a simple breakfast with fruit, rolls, boiled eggs, cereal & juice. Coffee and tea are provided in the room but we were expecting more... 6. Better quality TV with more channels (only 10 French language channels; also TV is cheap, old and not .Smart". As the name "Residence" implies, it is better suited for longer term stays.

The location was good and the room was large with a kitchen area; staff were pleasant.

The location is ideal. The tranquil waterfront and restaurants are within walking distance. There are many options for food and drinks, formal and informal. Haagen Daz ice-cream next door is a treat. We walked from the cruise terminal to Fort Savanne and to the ferry port was an even easier walk. The room is spacious and very clean. There was water, tea and a full kitchenette available if one prefers to cook.

The water pressure in the shower was terrible, literally a trickle. They said some maintenance work was being done by the city water supplier and it would improve, and it did a bit, but was still just enough for the water to come out. There were also not a lot of common hotel amenities like a hairdryer or USB ports in the wall to charge devices, which we had expected given the price.

The location is excellent, right in the centre of the city and close to everything we needed. When we arrived there was a carnival in the square and we were right in the middle of it which made for a great atmosphere. The room was also surprisingly quiet given the noise outside. The staff were all helpful and tried to accommodate our requests, even lending us some adaptors which few hotels I have stayed at do.

The location was perfect. Just a short walk to the beach, short work to the port and cruise terminal. There are also lots of restaurants around the area and grocery stores. The place was clean. I booked the wrong date and they still accommodated me for the correct date we were supposed to book for initially free of charge.

No breakfast provided at all even with extra payment ,no amenities in the bathroom , not comfortable pillows ,windows dont open so only a/c air ,scaming photos as the beach under the hotel is next to the port (not clean to swim ) and the gardens at the pictures under the hotel are not property of the hotel ,it s just a public parc.
