Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaFrom the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. The location is great, lots of restaurants to choose from. The afternoon sun shines on our balcony so it was perfect for a late afternoon glass of wine, very relaxing. I guess if there’s one negative it’s the church bells that ring often, but ear plugs at night work just fine. I would definitely recommend 39 St George. Thank you!

United KingdomThe room was cold...which would translate to nice and cool in hot weather...but this week has been cool. There is heating with the air-conditioning, but we could not work it out!! Could have asked...but wasn't that big a deal.... The rainshower head is leaking...which doesn't make it unusable...just jets is interesting directions!! But always plentiful hot water. Breakfast in cafe opposite was basic. Would have been nice to have fruit option..
Excellent location...beautiful room. Loved being so close to the centre. So easy to travel round on buses...we bought a 7 day ticket at the airport...included fast ferry..super convenient to bus hop. Lovely being close to catherderal...just be aware the bells chime loudly every hour including through the night..so you might need ear plugs if a light sleeper! But overall beautiful place. Nice outdoor space....with amazing views. Lift very welcome at the end of a full day's walking! We would book again if coming back to Gozo.

The location was perfect, exactly in the heart of the capital city of Gozo, Victoria. The room was very neat and comfortable. Very close to everything: restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, everything.

AustraliaThe church bells were constant and sounded too often after 11pm with many rings unrelated to the time. Unfortunately this disrupted sleep a bit.
Great amount of space and lovely view over St George Square and Basillica

MaltaNothing, Everything was brilliant
This is a fabulous accommodation. Extremely well furnished and well maintained. It met all our needs. Located in the busy St Georges Square but the accommodation is sound proofed. It is spotlessly clean with a cleaner coming in every and doing a thorough clean. The owners and staff are all extremely helpful and they went out of their way to make our stay really enjoyable and comfortable. Nothing was too much for them

United KingdomThe room was quite dark as there were no exterior windows. The breakfast was ok, some fruit would have been nice.
Brilliant location. The room was perfectly nice and we couldn't hear the bells which were extremely loud! But all part of the experience.

United KingdomIt didn't bother us but you could hear a buzz of talking even when there weren't many people in the square and the church has an "interesting" art installation that includes random bell ringing. It all added to the interest of the place for us.
The room was very comfortable. The view over St,George's Square was fascinating, nice buildings and always people to watch. I loved sitting on the balcony people watching. The shower was good and very spacious. It was very convenient for local sightseeing and for buses out to the rest of the island. It was very good value for the money.

United KingdomWhen we arrived staff were hard to reach as they also worked in the restaurant across the square, this wasn’t communicated to us. They also didn’t pick up the phone on the number left on the table, but this was sorted for us when other guests told us where they’d be
The location was incredible, our balcony had a view over the square and the bathroom was amazing; huge shower and very clean. Lots of restaurants on our doorstep aswell as St James’ Basilica which is absolutely incredible inside.
