Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomKids loved watching YouTube on the TV!
Perfect for our two families with 2 rooms either side of central staircase (one of the twins was accessed through a double not an issue for us). Mark was very helpful with recommendations and info. Pool was a little chilly but enjoyed by the kids regardless. Convenient for local supermarket and bus stop and walkable to Xaghra sights. Free Wi-Fi was appreciated

NorwayAt times there was an odd smell in the outdoor area. We don’t know where it came from.
We loved the swimming pool, the large and open space inside the house, and it was walking distance to Xagħra shops, restaurants, and historical attractions like the Ggantija temples, the Ta’ Kola windmill, and several grottos. Also only 2.2km to beautiful Ramla beach. Mark was incredibly helpful, sent us sightseeing tips before we arrived, answered questions quickly, and made sure we had everything we needed.

United KingdomThis is a gorgeous - very large (photos don’t do it justice) Gozo farmhouse. Wonderful swimming pool with good sunshine levels through day meaning good temperature Excellent communication from owner - but fully respected your privacy - but available if needed We found the beds to be very comfortable - fans in every room if you don’t want to use the air con. Parking is on street but we always easily found a space near the house so it is not an issue. Xaghra is a wonderful village with excellent bars / restaurants easy 12 minute walk (some hills). Being central in Gozo means anything you want to do is easy drive away (also bus stop very close).

United KingdomThere really wasn’t anything negative worth commenting on.
We were a party of 8 and the farmhouse felt roomy and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the BBQ a real treat. Best of all was the pool which was a lot bigger than it looked in the pictures and was a life saver in the heat. The owner’s communication was excellent.

United KingdomNo A/C in the main lounge considering we are in 2023. Also having to pay for the use of the A/C. Never have I paid to use A/C anywhere I have travelled around the world. The meter was full in four days & needed emptying by the owners. 2 to 3 euros approximately required for maximum 3 hours. Mattresses were also on the thin side hence people sleeping on the sofas in the lounge instead. Small adjustments are required asap.
The villa was in a very quiet location. Which was perfect. We did have some difficulties in locating supermarkets which were Open or some distance from the villa Communication was 10/10

United KingdomIf two more friends had came with us the interconnected bedrooms would not have worked, so lucky they did not. The two rooms have a shared bathroom so really a family area. Some did not like the continued ringing of church clock and church service bells, I did not mind it my self
Pool dining and lounge. Kitchen.

United KingdomI was really disappointed that the fourth bedroom could only be accessed through one of the other bedrooms and its bathroom - in fact at first we couldn't even find it. This would only really suit a family with small children, and didn't suit us as a group of adults. I think the fact that this room isn't self contained should be made clear on Booking.com. Air conditioning isn't included. To be fair, this is mentioned on Booking.com but I hadn't noticed. The host had said that €2 would provide about 8 hours of aircon but we found that €2 actually ran out in around 2.5 hours (this was with us using aircon in all four bedrooms). So you really do need to make sure you have a supply of 1 and 2 euro coins, because it can get very uncomfortable during the night if the aircon runs out. The pool is very cold and quite deep. It gets very little sun, so doesn't get a chance to heat up during the day, and runs quite quickly from just over a metre to almost two metres deep. Having said that, we really enjoyed having it and used it most days.
Charming well-proportioned historic house, close to bus stop and within walking distance of Xaghra pjazza, Ggiganta Temples and Ramla Beach. Marsalforn, Victoria and Mgarr are short bus rides away. The living area and three of the bedrooms are excellent, very spacious and comfortable. The pool/sitting area felt very private and having access to a private pool was a treat. Indoor courtyard/stairs area was lovely and very unusual. Also it was great to have a washing machine and dedicated outdoor area with lines for drying. The downstairs toilet/shower room was also handy. There are two shops and several restaurants within walking distance - in particular we enjoyed eating at the Segond Hotel (about two minutes walk from the property) and the Olympic Wine Bar in the Pjazza. It's nice to walk down to Ramla Beach (about 25 minutes, some of it quite steep) and then if you can't face the walk back up, the 322 bus will drop you at the Kommitiva bus stop at the end of the street. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property and in Xaghra :)
