Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe hotel is right next to a busy street with pavement restaurants so you can get a lot of noise until about 11pm from this if you have a street-facing window. Also the road can be noisy in the morning as delivery trucks bang around. However given the location is so central this comes with being in a great position
We were lucky to book a "city view" room, so we had a window overlooking the street. Some of the rooms are internal and the only natural light is from the atrium. That said the street can be noisy in the evening and morning.

Hong KongNothing comes to my mind.
I really enjoy staying in Valletta where i can easily get access to the ferry, bus station, restaurants and not to mention all those places to see. The hotel is located in the city center, where it's good for me to take a rest after visiting one place after another. The million-dollar view of the Three Cities can be seen from their rooftop. All staff are super friendly and helpful. Wifi works well. There are quite a variety of choices with their breakfast. I still enjoy their breakfast so much after staying for 3 days.

IrelandFantastic location, with incredible views and multiple restaurants and bars within an "easy" walk! Travelling to Valletta you have to be ready for hills and steps but it is most definitely an amazing city to visit and the hotel staff and location really added to this. Additionally, the breakfast options were always a nice surprise each day with a wonderful array of food and beverages available. Thankfully we scheduled a treatment in their old worldy Spa for our last full day in the hotel, which after walking around the city for a few days was most welcome.

United KingdomThe extraction fan in the bathroom did not seem to work, or it needed an extra switch that we did not find, which made the room a bit damp and smelly. Tge replenishment of shower gel and shampoo lacked but was sorted once asked the receptionist on shift.
The welcome by the receptionist was really good and already a firdt insight into Malta history and culture. The location was perfect to walk everywhere interesting in Valetta. It was a comfortable quiet room.

United KingdomI cannot imagine that anyone would ever use the 'swimming' pool - it is no more than a plunge pool. This was not an issue for us, however. And it is nice to sit up there with a drink.
The staff and the ambience of the hotel were exceptional. Great cold buffet breakfast. Perfect location too.

United KingdomThe bathroom needed attention, slight leak from either the base of the toilet or the shower. Seal around the base of the whole shower needed replacing, stained black in many places. One of the blockout curtains was hanging down, possibly the hooks were broken, this made it difficult to draw the curtain. Mini bar list was not in the room at the start of the stay, perhaps it should have been placed in the information folder.
Good location right in Valletta, nice small hotel nicely decorated but still retaining some of the old original building. Nice and quiet.

United KingdomNot much. Only suggestion for improvement would be 1. Instruction for air-con & under floor heating in room would be helpful. (No window to open for fresh air in courtyard side room) 2. Kettle with few tea bags/herbal tea bags as addition to coffee machine & water 3. Recommended local restaurant list with simple map ( A list without map or address is not so useful)
Location - City Centre, at quite street. 15 mins walk from bus stop/Grand harbour. Staff - Friendly, very helpful. Breakfast - Very very tasty! Enjoyed to see the foods are prepared freshly in open kitchen. Room & Facility - Stylish, Very clean, So Comfortable, Well chosen interior including furniture, good quality of linens! Top mark for Rooftop terrace with pool! Overall, we loved this relaxed atmosphere of the hotel.

United KingdomAs we stayed in February, air conditioning was not available in the rooms. We had a room on the third floor facing the well of the building. You could not open the windows apparently for health and safety reasons. It was too hot. We did get a fan but neither of us slept well. However, the beds were extremely comfortable.
Previously a Palazzo, the entrance is stunning and it’s very central, so conveniently close to all the sights. Breakfast was great. A very good buffet selection and good coffee.

GermanyThere was nothing that we didn't like
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Maximilian, who was extremely helpful, had many tips and advices on how to better experience our first visit to Malta! He even provided us with historical information on the region and the language which really helped us appreciate Valetta even more. The hotel is centrally located, very near to the port and has many shops and cafes nearby. Most important sightseeings are within walking distance. Hotel was spotless clean, breakfast was delicious and had a nice variety. It was a short stay and we didn't have the time to visit the spa, which is a good reason for our next visit!
