Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe pools could have been bigger but they’re a perfect size for having fun and relaxing.
The hotel is located in a perfect area, close to the airport, restaurants and shops. The hotel is very modern and the house keeping staff were great! Also received complimentary breakfast which was a bonus !! The view from the hotel floor 9/10 is beautiful.

United KingdomIt took us 2 hours to find the hotel in the midday heat, no one around knew where the hotel was, it is surrounded by many construction sites - very loud and dusty - that is temporary of course!

HungaryThe hotel is surrounded by construction sites. But that is not the hotel's fault. Construction seems to be very characteristic for whole Malta :-) There is a major construction going on at the rear facade. However, one should bear that in mind when selecting the room type. The rear facade faces a huge construction, therefore, windows are smaller with frosted glass and you cannot see through them. If you have claustrophobia, choose the front facade facing the street: it has rooms with small balconies (facing to a smaller construction). There could be more space and more shelves for the clothes (the open wardrobe concept is very stylish but less practical). But it will do. There is music on the floors which can be heard in the room as well - but the staff turned it down for the night after I pointed that out. Similarly, the elevators are 'speaking' all the time and that can clearly be heard in the adjacent rooms so it may be disturbing during the night. Again, the staff turned that down immediately after I pointed out the problem. The hotel is brand new, so the first weeks are for learning how it works... - and the staff is very eager to solve any inconvenience. So all that converts any negative aspect to positive one.
Top hotel features: rooftop swimming-pool, rooftop dining terrace, breakfast. Those are simply breathtaking. The breakfast is superb: extremely wide selection, excellent quality, very delicious bread. (Breakfast would score way more than 10 out of 10 points.) The staff is just amazing: extremely friendly, nice and helpful. They would do everything to please the guests and to solve any problems if any. I would give 20 out of 10 points if that would be possible. :-) They are working non-stop and smiling non-stop. Special mention to Jonathan - but each and every staff members are fantastic. I could use only superlatives when rating those aspects. One-site parking is a great help as it is not easy to find a free parking lot on the street. Sound-proof rooms are very useful so you cannot hear the noise of the traffic. The hotel is brand new and very nice (I checked-in on the next day after the opening). Rooms are served twice a day. Big and good quality towels, very good pool towels. Another extra point is for the electricity sockets: although Malta has Type G (British), it can accommodate the French/European type C plug as well without a converter! What a relief! Very good wi-fi all over the building. Filtered water and ice machine on all floors. Nespresso machine in the rooms. There is no restaurant within the hotel (except for breakfast) but they have a little hotel shop with snacks and there are plenty of restaurants nearby so nobody would starve. They have a rooftop bar with friendly staff. The air-conditioner can completely be switched off - which is very positive for bad sleepers as there is no A/C sound.

LithuaniaThere were a couple of minor areas that could be improved. Firstly, the breakfast buffet, while offering a decent variety of options, could benefit from a wider selection of hot dishes and a more diverse menu. There weren't scrambled eggs or oats, the menu was the same everyday. Secondly, there were none rosettes in the bathroom, so it was hard to dry your hair with a hairdryer. The window in a room is very small, so you don't get any panoramic view from your window. As well, the hotel is in the area of the construction site. There are only cranes around, e.g. two cranes were rotating right above our rooftop pool, so you hear noises from their site all day long. Once we came to the pool area on the roof around 4 p.m. and there weren't any people, but their towels were left on sun beds. There were no clean and new towels, bottles and pizza boxes were just strewn about.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at AC Hotels By Marriot in St. Julians, Malta, for a five-day vacation, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a stylish, contemporary ambiance that set the tone for a memorable stay. Upon arrival, the check-in process was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in was modern, well-designed, and impeccably clean. The tasteful decor, comfortable furniture, and thoughtfully selected amenities created a relaxing atmosphere. One highlight of AC Hotels By Marriot was the stunning rooftop pool and terrace. The panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea were simply breathtaking, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. The pool area was well-maintained, with comfortable loungers and attentive staff who were always available to assist with any requests. Whether it was enjoying a refreshing swim or sipping on a cocktail while taking in the magnificent views, this rooftop oasis was a true delight. The hotel's location in St. Julians was another major plus. It was conveniently situated within walking distance of numerous restaurants, bars, and shops, allowing easy exploration of the vibrant neighborhood. I stayed here for my birthday and I was surprised with a birthday gift from the hotel - they brought me a cake and a bottle of red wine. It was very cute.

GermanyYou need to know that not every room has a balcony and even the windows cannot be fully opened, just a little, so you need to use the air-conditioning all the time. In the area and in particular around the hotel the are many construction sites, but these are not loud at all when the windows are closed. The breakfast looks good from the first moment, but on the third day it is already a little boring. There are lots of different cafes around, so you might think of having breakfast outside.
There is an amazing heated pool on the roof of the building, which, thanks to the heating, can be used by any weather. Another indoor pool with whirlpool option is available in the basement floor. On the same floor there is also fitness room located. It is small but you can find all what is required in there. It is all done with love, the staff is very friendly. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The towels are soft and of a good quality. In rooms you can find the coffee machine and the teamaker.

United KingdomThe view from the room wasn't great :(
Exceptional service from all staff and colleagues who all went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing stay. This was my first time in Malta and I stayed at 2 hotels... there was a gulf in class between the two hotels. I will most definitely be back to Malta in the not so distant future and I will be most certainly staying at the AC again.

SwitzerlandI'm not used to rooms with that size and only one window. But that's not able to be changed now. For business trips where you don't stay long in the room it's good. but for families who might want to spend time in the room, a bit less.

United KingdomPros: - great breakfast - large room - coffee machine / kettle in the room - lots of tours (eg to Gozo, 3 cities) have a pick up spot nearby - walking distance to restaurants - walking distance to Sliema, easy transport to Valletta by bus or ferry from Sliema - nice outdoor pool open in April - late checkout - friendly staff Cons: - my room was incredibly dark, to the point that I had to have all the lights on all the time and it still was dark - my room had a disabled bathroom, which was a good idea but poorly designed, toilet roll got wet every time I had a shower, and it didn’t sit well with me that the accessible rooms are so dark - pools not really warm (despite claims they are heated) - indoor pool area not maintained and slippery / full of used towels - unsuitable building materials used in indoor pool area (wood used for shower and doors is showing signs of rot) - weird smell in indoor pool area - not the best location for a calm stay, 40 minute walk to Sliema ferry station Overall I would not return to this particular hotel.

United KingdomLocation- Construction work opposite and next door this quiet road every day, starts early, very noisy. Balcony catches wind as nothing next to hotel but a noisy carpark valet. Marriot is an excellent brand but location wasn’t great. And the beach closest was contaminated so would have to find a better bay/beach. Much better options a bit further away
Great quality through out. Clean, comfy bed, bar restaurant food all great and roof top views nice.

AustriaI requested a room with a bathtub in the bathroom, and the reception confirmed that such a room was ready for us. However, they ended up giving us the wrong room. We were so tired that we didn't have the energy to switch rooms, so we stayed there for four nights. The staff were kind, but they did not seem very professional.
Big bed and swimming pool.
