United KingdomGuiseppe, he was rude and unprofessional, made me feel uncomfortable, kept getting in my face and poking me in my chest, told me if I didn't put my keys on the wall when I got in he would walk around the apartment naked, and it would be my fault for not putting my keys on the wall, but I could of walked in on that, wasn't at all what was advertised on booking.com

AustraliaStinking hot, fan and AC broken. Room like a sauna. Hottest room in the apartment. Host smoked in common areas and the smoke permeated my room. Played very loud car racing and movies vey loudly at night. Information on site NOT up to date, obviously hasn’t been updated since Covid. Towels old and worn. He had no SPARE pillows. Didn’t provide even the tiniest of bar of soap or a tiny bottle of water yet told not to drink from the tap. And I arrived at midnight! Shower door half off its hinges and broken.

United KingdomHost sleeping on sofa in lounge during stay and asking for cash as he had no money and guests hadn't showed up for room . Found out my room I was in is actually rented on a contract to a female through the landlord and she had Been moved out of her room so it could be rented to me the money for this went to himself and she gets none of this and I belive he needs a licence to do this and I'm sure he's not declaring this to the local authorities which I have found out is illegal in malta. Beware if you stay here your room key fits all the other rooms in the apartment. Worst thing that came out of this stay is when local shop owner asked were I was staying on my holiday and his reply was and I quote ( oh your staying with the coke addict upstairs) not what I was expecting to hear Looked through reviews after my stay shocking to say the least. I now read as many reviews as I can before booking a stay anywhere.

Czech RepublicThe owner is offering a "if you refer my business to your friends, I will give you 30% of their money back" deal. The 30E deposit is only refundable after a written positive review. This is an Airbnb type of accommodation: there are 3 rooms, shared kitchen, shared bathroom; 2 rooms are rented out, the owner lives in the 3rd room. The room with a balcony is not a balcony with a sea view, but faces the courtyard area and is used for drying laundry. This room is not equipped with air-conditioning, so you need to keep the balcony door open. This brings the annoying noise of all the air-conditioners in the block (4 buildings connected) echoing in the inner courtyard, ear-plugs are recommended. This room is not possible to lock. The wifi is available at the shared sea-view balcony. This sea-view balcony is not in the best condition. The owner is a heavy smoker. Overall the standard of the accommodation makes you want to stay outside as much as possible. The accommodation is suitable for people in their 20-ties, smokers. Not recommended for single ladies. To avoid misunderstandings, put discussed arrangements in written.

FranceWhere to start? Thé flat is 1 minute walk from thé sea front where you can find all sorts of bars, buses And taxis. We had a big bedroom with Its Own balcony. We slept very well as there is no noise on our side of thé building. Thé flat was super clean And layed back. We even had our own keys, So free to Côme And go any Time of the day or night. I loved the music that was played by giuseppe. On our last night, We had a meal at thé flat. On thé main balcony, over looking thé sea. Giuseppe organised everything for us, candels, wine And food. And woooow. I have never had such good sea food And fish. Squide, sardines, sword fish, orange salade ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ We will be coming back in 2024 for a new visite And will eat at thé flat every night as giuseppes cooking is to dir for. And Much better then any local restaurant. Please contact him, he is lovley

RomaniaThe fact that is written that the kitchen is shared but you are not allowed to use the kitchen.
This is our first time when we book a property with a host. It was an interesting experiment for us. The room was nice, clean, spacious, the bathroom was ok. A big plus of this room is the private bathroom. The location of the house is amazing. We were closed to the bus station, to beach. The place is quiet even if it is located near the center. I really recommend this property for its great location! When we arrived Giuseppe welcomed us. He is a really nice host, he took care of everything. He asked for deposit but when we left we received the money back. When we arrived he told us we can not use the kitchen, just for breakfast to prepare something light. First we were unsatisfied with this but he proposed to cook for us for dinner for 35 euros ( for 2 persons). We were a little bit skeptical but we agreed to try. Wow , wow, wow! Amazing!! You should at least try one evening to eat there! Giuseppe is such a great chef, we ate so good and at so low price! If you go to restaurant the prices are higher and portions smaller. When Giuseppe cooked for us we were eating large portions and amazing food. We ate different kind of fish, like tuna fish, seabass, squid, swordfish, octopus. The food was really good, food that you don’t eat at home ( except for pasta, we ate almost every night pasta together with the other type of food). We were eating on a nice terrace outside, with sea view. We stayed 10 nights and only on our 8th day the towels and the bedsheets were changed. So I recommend you ask for fresh towels. Also if you plan to stay longer, don’t forget to bring toilet paper with you and soap, shower gel etc.

United KingdomRoom was not advertised as a shared apartment, the owner and/or his friend was always home sitting by the main door so it was awkward being there, we were given a key for our room on the 2nd night but noticed they had used our balcony to put clothes on even when the door was locked so the key was pointless, they charged us €20 deposit in cash when we arrived and said we would get this back when we leave, the day we left the owner said his bank account has been blocked and told us to give our bank details and he will send it to us, it's now been 2 weeks and still nothing.
