We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel itself was lovely - roof top pool had good views and open until 9pm so you can stay for the sunset - decent enough breakfast. The room was a good size with balcony but the bathroom needs a bit of TLC

This is was my 2nd time staying at the Alexandra Hotel. The man on the desk remembered me and the lady doing the tours both friendly. My gripe was the fire alarm going off at 3 in the morning Great location plenty to do lots of lovely beaches and restaurants. I brought my granddaughter she loved it. She learnt to paddle board and went in a kayak was a natural. Would stay again may up grade my room next time.

IrelandThe room was clean but quite old and was definitely in need of a lick of paint. The room served its purpose but, for the room that we got, €100 a night was a little bit on the expensive side. The location was very close to bars and clubs, which may be a negative for certain travellers.
The staff were really friendly in the hotel and could not do enough for us. Booking taxis and printing boarding cards was not a problem at all. The facilities in the hotel are very good: sauna, gym, indoor pool, etc and there is a rooftop pool with a bar which is beautiful (if a little bit small). The breakfast was huge, containing all types of food, from continental to a traditional Irish/English breakfast. The location of the hotel was very close to bars and clubs, etc. This can be a pro or a con depending on the purpose of your visit. The hotel was also very accessible, only a few minutes from the bus stop.

Spainsome rooms are not what I was expecting, nothing to do with the pics in booking . we had to ask to change the room 2 times . one was smelling tabaco and one was not ideal . behind the fridge was so much dust . crazy . the staff is nice . the pool it’s small . The breakfast , I decided not to have .
The lady in the reception was very very nice and she changed us the room until we got something nice and I really appreciate that
