Our room was facing the street and the windows are as non-existing. Starting with 5AM and until late in the night, the car noise was runining our experience.

That is not clearly described on the house offer (thats why low rating) but The room on the ground floor has private bathroom which is located on the other side of the house and You need to walk thru shared area and kitchen to go there. There were no information how to connect to wi-fi. I tried to call owner but no one picked up. That's not a big inconvinience but could be improved. You will get the code to get the key before the check in but You need to check that in the booking com messages from the house. Maybe if You use whatsapp they send that code thru that channel too. When You get the code it's easy to get key.

The house was very nice. Well equipped kitchen. Nice shared area in the main hall. It's located relatively close to city center and also close to bus stop.

Our room was right next to a busy street, with loud noise from cars, trucks and motorbikes. The traffic went on until well after midnight and started again at 5:30 in the morning. After reading comments on booking.com pointing this out, I contacted the owner with a friendly email right after our reservation and asked for his advice. At that time, there were still other rooms available on booking.com. An answer came only weeks later, when were already on Malta, and we were told that our room was indeed next to a street and that there were no other options available. Upon arrival, we tried to contact the owner again, also asking about an adapter for EU plugs, which is not the available (if you don't bring one yourself you might not be able to charge your telephone etc. - or use any of the bedside lamps in the room, which are all coming with EU plugs and no possibilty to connect). Communication was brief at best, unfriendly at worst. Or no answer at all. There was a friendly cleaning lady in the guesthouse, but not reception or any other staff at any time. After a first night with only a few hours of sleep, we decided to leave and informed the owner. At no moment did he express any word of sympathy, regret or just saying sorry for any inconvenience; on the contrary, we were made to feel like an nuisance. We recieved no refund, neither partially or full, for the nights we did not stay. However, the now vacant room was already advertised again on booking.com within an hour.

The guesthouse is only a couple of minutes from the center of Victoria. There is a kitchen available.

The bathroom wasn't en-suite which I didn't find mentioned anywhere when booking the room. Poor communication from the staff - not answering the phone, not replying to messages. Quite busy and noisy road in front of the windows.

Great location. Nice experience of staying in an old Maltese house. Clean place and well organized. Good facilities - well equipped kitchen.

At times felt uncomfortable using facilities as was told by another resident that we was not allowed to use Internet tv as it slows Internet down for them to make calls . Housekeeper was not around to ask about things we needed help with . And noticed that no cleaning of comuion areas . After our stay we checked under our bed in case we had left anything and was very shocked on wot we found underneath we have pictures for proof months worth of dust clumps old socks and water bottles so rooms don't get cleaned .

Very noisy neighbours, vibrating alarms going off at 5:00, 5:30 and a few times after that, ruining our sleep. Yelling kids around 7:30. Door to common area is not sound proof at all, and there's a slightly blinded window in the door, not giving any feeling of privacy. Room has no way of ventilation because the only window was in the bathroom and it had no musquito net. Room didnt smell good, very stuffy Owner has no clue how to welcome guests and makes strange remarks. Glad we only stayed one night.

It was mainly clean, but it was clear that the shelves in closets were not cleaned. So it looked clean from the outside, but a bit dirty when you opened the closets. Also, there's s curtain to block the light from the bathroom, but no curtain towards the hall and the door is glass. The light was horrible.

The room is 5 mins walk to the town's centre, very convenient. The guest house has everything you need: the fully equipped kitchen, living room with a tv and even a small library, terrace and washing machine. The room has a huge closet, enough blankets and private bathroom. The owner was on call at all times.

The room we stayed in was not comfortable: 1. On the night of January, it was cold and no extra blankets were provided. 2. The room on the ground floor lacked privacy, as it was situated in front of the main entrance with a glass door. A curtain would have been appreciated. 3. The room was not well-insulated, both thermally (the heater took a long time to warm up) and acoustically (we could hear outside noises, including cars, as we were near the street). Additionally, someone was loudly speaking on the phone for hours in the morning. 4. The bathroom was located in the kitchen, requiring us to pass through shared spaces to access it. It was not mentioned in the description.

Extremely noisy room on ground floor, next to the busy road. There was traffic till late night and from as early as 6AM. And the "private bathroom" was not en-suite, it was through the shared kitchen. Neither the ground floor noisy room nor the bathroom situation were in the room description when I booked. These were mentioned very late to me just before check-in.

The kitchen and common space were good. But my "private bathroom" was through the shared kitchen! Room was terribly noisy next to the street.
