Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms lacked the comforts of an upgraded room, which we had paid for. It was larger, with a larger balcony, but the room had no extra furniture. Making it a large empty room. The room lighting was of poor quality. The exterior light turned off at 2330 making us unable to sit outside and socialise. There was no mini bar and the bathroom door didn’t open nor did the balcony sliding door lock.
Central location, rooms very quiet and bed large and comfy. Great pool and bar facilities, close to the sea. Breakfast was well stocked and tasty.

MaltaThere was a problem with the air conditioning in our room - they couldn't fix it, so they gave us a fan. They don't have private parking.
This hotel is situated in such a great area of St Julians - still in the heart of everything, but away from chaos. We had a great room with exceptional views (a Junior Suite on the 5th floor, as we got a free upgrade from Deluxe Family Sea View). We could see the sunrise from our terrace & from the windows on the side as well. The beds were quite comfortable & most of the amenities were ok. There was a varied selection for breakfast as well.

MaltaOur balcony window in our room was cracked (it was a very big and noticeable crack) We were told breakfast is served until 10:30am, however the pancakes were already finished at 9am. If you are serving bfast till 10:30am, everything should be available until that time. The shower in our room was very frustrating to use when it came to regulating the temperature. It was either too hot or too cold.
The view was amazing, we loved that there was a convenience shop in the hotel and also the room was clean

AustriaThere were some problems with the keys for 3 different rooms, almost every day for the whole week we had to go to the reception to ask them to reactivate the keys again, otherwise we couldn’t get inside the room. The breakfast in the restaurant was no like expected, we can say it was ok. The lights in the rooms were not enough at all, very light lighting And they don’t serve free water bottle every day like it should be
The swimming pool was amazing, the property itself was very nice, Art designs everywhere The staff were nice and helpful, and almost all the rooms have see view. Simply everything was nice

LatviaSome of the facilities are a bit worn down: The card reader was faulty and every evening we had to wait for staff to reprogram it. You may have the same problem, requires patience A/C was just about ok, but not strong Elevators are sluggish

IrelandThe bathroom.
Beautiful hotel. Lovely pool area with friendly waiting staff. No shortage of sunbeds and umbrellas. Right on the bay with steps and ladder into a cordoned off area if you fancy sea swimming. Very central to plenty nice restaurants and public transport. Great breakfast with lovely staff especially lovely Tomir who makes the best omelette. We had a huge room with a gigantic bed and a lovely view over the bay from a large balcony BUT ...THE BATHROOM!!!!! For such a massive room I've never been in a smaller hotel bathroom!!! Who designed it???? A large shower but the other space sooo narrow. For a large person I think it would be a real struggle.

United StatesWe had trouble with check in. Our room was not ready they had us standing around for well over an hour. I spoke with multiple associates. I spoke with the desk manager, who then hid in the room behind the desk for a half hour. When we politely explained our frustration he gave us many excuses as to why our room wasn't ready and why none of the 7 people at the desk was helpful.
Breakfast was good.

United KingdomThe main outdoor swimming pool could be larger and deeper, just so there's a variation of pool types within the hotel. The lifts are quite slow and unpredictable. If you're on the upper floors you can be waiting a long time.
We loved the location of the hotel, everything within St Julian's and Spinola Bay was in walking distance. The breakfast buffet was amazing! We indulged every morning. The staff were so friendly, helpful, caring and accommodating.
