Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MaltaThe breakfast could be better presented and a better selection of hot drinks. There were a lot of scuff marks on the wall. there was an espresso machine in the room however you are charged a euro a pod. I think at least two should be available at no charge, like tea bag and sachet of coffee.
Do not let the entrance put you off, its a small block of flats like entrance but once you get to the reception/wee breakfast room and to your room, it is well decorated. Good and friendly reception services. Excellent shower pressure. Considering the location, the noise from outside at its loudest was muffled.

Greece1)Breakfast so poor , only bread , cheese, ham , milk, cereals , nothing more. 2)We had to ask for toilet paper 3times/day so they give us 1!!! 3)Room cleaning was 1 per 4 days! 4)We told them 3 times to change the bedsheets which they changed on 5th day of our staying! We had high expectations because it had good photos and comments from the others but this hotel isnt worth it!
The only good was the location, near bus to go everywhere.

RomaniaBreakfast was poor, no vegetables or fruits for the most part of our journey. It's supposed to be a continental breakfast, but you only get some cheap salami and cheese. No coffee machine in the breakfast room. At night there was noise because of the pubs found right next to the hotel. Towels are supposed to be changed every second day, but that happens only if you request this. Also, towels were very old and torn and smelled funny. The spare blanket smelled strange and we didn't use it. There was a coffee machine in the room, but there was a surcharge for the coffee capsules. Also, if you need an iron, an adapter or a hairdryer, you need to pay a deposit.
The hotel is very close to the bus stations, located near one of the ports of Malta and close to the clubs area.

FranceEverything ! Never trust pictures and reviews ! Unprofessional staff. Very late check-in and not flexible if you want an early check-in. No reception 24/7. Dirty room, towels and sheets. Smelly room with mold on walls and ceiling (room 90). No daily cleaning room or changing towels. Defective bathroom door : impossible to close it. Noisy hotel because close to clubs and busy streets. Beware of the minibar scam, they tried to charge me wrongfully for something a drink i never took. Leaking ceiling in the breakfast area which falls on the plates. Expect to pay an eco tax which is not mentionned on booking.com (0,50€ per night per person). I had to deal with the manager by email. Despite that, I had to fight for 1 month to be refunded (the eco tax). PATHETIC.

BulgariaI am a returning guest. And still like the hotel for the perfect location: 2 min from the bus stop(to the Airport , Valletta), many options for a nice walk, close to the bars and restaurants; friendly and professional service, good communication and care for the guests, comfortable rooms. Just this time the balcony was smaller. There is an outside noise of course (bars, restaurants are all there), but if the balcony door is closed you don't hear anything.

United KingdomNothing major. Drinking glasses are positioned under the clothes rail so you have to be careful when taking things off the hangers or you could smash something like I did. In high season, it might be nice to have two chairs and a table on the balcony to play cards.
I had low expectations because of the price but was positively surprised. Good-quality furniture - marble-topped bedside tables, quality velvet armchairs in the dining room, good firm mattress, good size room, highly attentive gentleman running breakfast. Powerful shower. Amazing value for money considering the location, and breakfast and even slippers being included. I'm a light sleeper but, on fourth floor, closing the door to the balcony muffled the noise from revellers outside on Friday and Saturday night. Blackout blinds. Big tv. Bus stop to Valetta and Sliema close at hand. All-night off-licence nearby. Lots of pubs and clubs around. The wall mural was a nice design touch - better than the framed pictures a lot of hotels put up.

Estonia+The hotel was nice, modern design . Good location , the bus stop is just outside the hotel . - The hotel is in the middle of the noise, especially the weekend. We booked 2 separate beds (we announced our wish 2 times) but we got one big bed and only one blankett. the room could not be changed and another blanket was not provided (the reception said that there are no more blankets). it was not comfortable for two women in one bed with one blankett ☹ towels were only for one person in the room, we got more on the second ask.

Netherlands2 persons, 3 nights, Friday-Monday, middle of october'2022. We had a late-checkin and this went very smooth with a code for the door sent prior arrival and an envelop containing information. Following day easy registration at reception and a very good breakfast! Friendly staff and good coffee. Breakfast included cereal, bread, fruit, salad, meat, cheese, yoghurt, hazelnut paste and other. The location is great, there are multiple bus stops in the very immediate vicinity. The TD13 fast lane bus to Valletta costs 3 euro and only takes 17min of bus ride! The area around the hotel is busy and bustling especially on weekends, the hotel is situated next to an Irish pub but has good windows and with the A/C sound the noise is drowned out. You can hear some noise of the neighboring room though. The hotel room (we were on the street side, 6th floor) was spatious with good beds and good bathroom. We mentioned we were on our honeymoon via the Booking app and we had a nice surprise for us :-) great experience!! Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

MaltaThere wasn't a AC remote in my room and when I called to the reception they promised to fix it. I waited almost an hour and didn't hear about them. When I called back to the reception they just said that I should sleep without it. I wasn't able to close the AC during the night and in the next morning I felt little bit cold. The sink in the bathroom wasn't draining and it was almost impossible to wash my face because the sink filled with water so quickly. They fixed it during my second day of stay. There was 25 euros deposit for bargaining the hair dryer and adapter which I wasn't informed beforehand.
I liked how modern the hotel room and the building was. Bed was comfortable and I liked the parquet floor, it gave the room comfy feeling. There was free batch products in a room. An older man in a breakfast room was very friendly. I can't say the same about the rest of the staff. One lady was rolling her eyes front of me when I said I would tell later if I will book my place for the breakfast in the next day (I wanted to try it first). This made me feel that I wasn't welcome to this hotel. This is something they need to improve because it's something what 4 and 5 star hotels always do well. Customers are top priority for them. JL is not 4-5 stars hotel but by improving the customer service they could give their customers more luxurious feeling.
