Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Romania1. I had some issues when I had my check-in because the instructions sent to me by the owner were no longer valid. At the property, I no longer had to pick up keys, but there was only a code with which I could enter the property. 2. My main problem was where the property is located. I did not feel safe there because it is not a tourist district. Maybe this is not a problem if you are traveling with several people, but I went alone and I do not recommend it. I always found someone standing on the doorstep of the property. 3. It really is a noisy area, as written in the other reviews, but that doesn't stop you from sleeping.
The property is as described. The pictures on booking are real. Communication with the owner was ok. Near the property is a shopping center.

GermanyThe street nearby is quite busy and noisy, however the windows and the door are poorly soundproofed.
It has a good position and is near to supermarkt and bus station. The landlord is very nice and the apartment facilities are very modern.

United KingdomSometimes the area got really noisy, because it's very central! But I had read this in the reviews so I expected it.
I could get pretty much anywhere from that location - and I feel like I got an authentic experience, as opposed to being in a touristy place. It's very close to a well stocked supermarket, so it was easy to live there. The place was super clean, the heating worked when I needed it, and the house was charmingly Maltese yet modern. Jamie (the host) was super responsive. I stayed for 21 days and it was a great place for that amount of time! Felt homely.

LithuaniaA bit noisy from the street. But this is understandable if you want to live in a typical Maltese house and in the middle of the city. We are happy to have this experience and the opportunity to live like Maltese locals.
The apartments are in a convenient location - there is a bus stop right next to it, from where you can take a bus to various parts of Malta - beaches, Mdina, etc., you don't need to go through Valletta every time. Valletta is also ten minutes away by bus. There is a supermarket, fast food kiosks, pastizzeria nearby. The apartment is clean and nicely decorated, there is a typical Maltese balcony in it too. We enjoyed our stay here and had a great vacation.

SwedenBefore booking, we read reviews that the apartment could be noisy. We thought it was exaggerations and sensitive guests - but we had no idea it would be THAT noisy and loud. I regret to inform that the previous guests´ warnings were correct. The apartment is located in a VERY busy and noisy area called Hamrun. The many small shops, heavy traffic and lots of people creates a commotion unlike few places in Malta. Now, combine this with absolutely no sound isolation and you will have constant noise and disturbances from early morning to late evening. In the evening, crowds of people would congregate in the street outside and hang out in the street corners and (for some reason) just outside the door to the apartment. When they were talking loudly and shouting, it literarily sounds like they are standing inside the apartment. There were also construction works in neighboring flat and on the street outside. This apartment was a disaster in terms of peace and quiet, and sleep quality. This is not the owners fault (except for the poor sound isolation) but the result of the neighborhood. I never experienced a more loud apartment in my life. Also, there was a pigeon living inside the apartment, in the staircase above the toilet. It is difficult to explain the layout of this part of the apartment, you will understand once you are there. I walked up the staircase to see, and could see a lot of feathers and clear evidence of pigeons staying there. To summarize, unless you have a hearing impairment or are used to VERY NOISY apartments, you will have difficulties staying here. We were relieved to check out.
This relatively refurbished and renovated apartment is close to bus stops, cafes and supermarket and within walking distance to Valletta and Sliema.
