The area for breakfast was a little small and struggled to serve everyone when busy. I was there at 7:30a, most mornings and it was fine, but the one day I was late it was horrendous - especially with only one coffee machine.

I was glad of the 24/7 reception, as my flight was delayed by 90 mins and I arrived at the hotel around 2:00am. The receptionist (Amine) was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was run by Mariana, who is so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is a standard offering and good enough for what I wanted. The location was perfect as well, close to where I needed to be, close to restaurants, shops and the buses. My recommendation is not to go to the A&Z Mini Market down from the hotel - the people there are ignorant, not friendly and not sure about the age of some of the products. I ended up going to the oz Sofra Balkan & Turkish Foodstore - it was bigger, cleaner and staff friendlier. I will not recommend restaurants, as I am sure a Google search will show you what you would like to eat. I would suggest trying some of the traditional Maltese food - rabbit, pork cheeks and beef.

A small fridge in the room to keep drinks cold would be excellent. Also somewhere to hang clothes to dry after using the pool and hang towels in the bathroom

My room was on the 2 floor with a city view, it was not very comfortable for me, so the curtain was always closed during my stay. The pool working hours are 10-20, so you can start and finish your day with a lovely swim, but it's ok.

The staff is exceptional, very friendly and ready to help in any situation. The location is also wonderful. I liked the swimming pool on the roof, it's a very nice and quiet place to relax. The breakfast was also great. There are lots of places to eat and a mini market near the hotel. Bus stop is very close which allows to travel around the island easily.

We were here 7 days. And we booked it with breakfast. Good is good, perfect. But here was all the time the same food. No porridge, no pancakes. I think it can be better if here will be more choice. And of cause parking. But it is problem not because of hotel. Small narrow streets, so few parking places.

Breakfast choices/selection and coffee, juices etc were great, a perfect way to start our day. I liked the staff, who were very personable. I left my purse in a taxi & the staff attempted to help me find it. I didn't realize I had left it in the taxi until we had checked in & gone to our room. Mezhi (sorry if I've misspelt his name) & Alice were calm & methodical in reviewing what could have happened to my purse. I did get my purse back because the taxi driver, along with his next fare came back to the Ibiz with my purse (all in tact).....that spoke volumes to the integrity of the Maltese people. Our stay was great. Not far from the public transportation (we pretty much took buses & ferries everywhere) and a fabulous choice of restaurants and shops. Easy to get our bearings. The centre had some unexpected activities that were fun to watch. Thank you.

My room on the 9th floor had constant sounds of running water through the walls, probably because it was directly below the pool. When I asked, the person at front desk said they couldn't move me because they were full. Can't say the room was cleaned well, I stepped on a peanut when I first went into the room, there were fingerprint marks on the tv, rainfall showerhead looked like it hadn't been cleaned and had calcium build up. Rooftop bar closed early.

Easy walking distance to bus stops and shops/restaurants. Good breakfast options.

Although the breakfast was good and different food to choose from, two things that did bother us were hot food was uncovered so eggs, sausages, baked beans and scrambled eggs were cold. The other side were there are cheese and cakes there were many tiny flies. I had on a small piece of cake so I had to throw it away, maybe an insect catcher thing is needed.

The room was clean and comfortable. Although it would have been better with a mini fridge in this hot weather. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay

That we didn't book a longer trip

Firstly, we chose ibis because it was a brand that we knew. However, the stay at ibis Styles St Paul's Bay blew our expectations away. We were greeted by Amin, who helped us get our Keys and let us know about the Hotels Facilities and made it known he would be on hand if we needed him. Mehdi took over from Amin and continued that excellent service for the rest of our trip. The food at breakfast was great, and the staff were attentive to our needs. My wife is pregnant, she doesn't like to fuss but the kitchen staff made sure her every demand was met. Sometimes they would bring freshly made food to the table, always making sure she was attended to. Our room was clean and spacious, we had fresh towels, and the bathroom was restocked daily. We needed extra pillows which were brought to our room quickly. These guys were so attentive. The Pool was clean, and there was enough space to unwind and relax. Honestly I could go on and on and on and on. Our stay was perfect.

To me a small fridge in room would make this hotel a 4 star.

The check in was friendly and welcoming thanks to the receptionist Julieta and Alice. We had 3 rooms for 7 nights and I’ve requested to be next to each other. They are Very spacious and cleaned everyday.the A/C is a bonus for a 34’C Malta.the breakfast so much to option from hot bfast,cereals,cheese,expresso coffee machine as well as the fresh orange juice machine.variety’s of fresh fruits too.special thanks to Carla who look after us as big family every morning.the location is within short walking distance to everything you need. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby as well as tour operators for a day tours. we rented a car throughout our holiday and the parking can be a problem if you arrive late at night but otherwise mostly free parking within the white lines/box space.Overall would recommend Ibis styles hotel anytime of stay around Buggiba.

What I consider as a small disadvantage, is the lack of some beach in walking distance from the hotel. The two beaches in town are not very nice and very tiny. Acces to the sea is overall rocky. You need to drive at least 20 mins to spend a day on a beach.

The hotel was great for our 5-nights stay wih friends. Clean, spacious room with balcony and budget friendly price. Breakfast was very good for 3-star hotel. I would highlight the orange fresh juice, at least 3 choice of fruit, local malteese cheese and pastry. Rooftop pool was small but amazing, we loved hanging out there.
