We stayed at Villa Marni as a couple in August 2024. Our apartment was clean, bright and decorated with taste. It had a terrasse, a 200x200 bed and a view down on to the swimming pool. The swimming pool was also perfectly maintained and respectfully shared between the guests. Simon - our host - lives nearby and was very welcoming and reachable. We will gladly book the same apartment again at Villa Marni when we come back to Xlendi.

We liked everything - but would have been v pleased to have a Blackout curtain for bedroom. Balcony - would be great to have a high table so you could eat outside. Also maybe the option of taking foldable comfy chairs or lounger onto balcony.

It is a lovely place - quiet area, easy 15min ish walk down into the village with a good number of bars and some really good restaurants. Amazing sunsets. You can swim off the rocks in the village - its got lifeguards. Quite a steep hill back up to property but its really not far at all! Also a great little supermarket on the main road going out of the village opposite the main car park. Good base for exploring the island (we had a hire car). Easy parking outside the property, lovely modern stylish apartment with lots of room and everything you need. Big airy bedroom, very comfy bed & linen. Good area with desk/top and chair - to put toiletries/make up etc. Lots of cupboard storage for clothes. Great air con and large ceiling fans - also air con v reasonably priced. Bathroom was nice & clean, quite small but enough room. Shower was fine, a little gentle for what we are used to but not a problem. Only slight niggle was occasional noisy drainage from the bathroom but it was quite random! Also the bedroom window could do with a blackout curtain as v bright in mornings! Lounge/kitchen was lovely - roomy & bright. Floor to ceiling windows and doors with good blinds. Kitchen had everything you could want, plus v useful cupboard where previous guests have left herbs, salt, dry goods, oil etc (within date) - so you have bits to use. Dishwasher and washing machine were handy. Outdoor balcony with couple chairs & coffee table. We would go back again - highly recommend the apartment, location & hosts.

There wasn’t anything that made me dislike the property, you do have to pay for air conditioning separately but the host is great at accommodating change when needed and this wasn’t a problem.

Everything was just as it is shown on the photos, very clean, quiet, wide and beautiful place. On a very good location, everything you need is close, the restaurant the beach the bus station and the market. The villa is fully equipped and the host Simon is very friendly and kind feel free to ask anything away. I would definitely recommend this to a couple or a group of friends and family who want to have a quiet time together to have a peaceful rest far from the city noise.

Villa Marni was our best Gozo rental ever. A real value that exceeded my expectations. The place was very quiet, clean, modern and had everything we needed to feel at home. The pool area was also very enjoyable and comfortable. Communication with the host was great too. I will definitely be looking to stay the next time I come to Gozo and would highly recommend this wonderful apartment.

There is the need of an elevator to make the place more accessible. Otherwise what is already there is good.

The place was super clean and comes as advertised. What we saw in the photos we actually found... Sometimes photos are tricky 😉 We had everything that one needs and also a good mention about the health and safety equipment. Otherwise the swimming pool was great and the facilites too.

We stayed at the Villa Marni for 2 weeks in May and used it as our base for a diving holiday. The villa is within walking distance of Xlendi, which has plenty of cafes and restaurants, and is situated on a quiet cul de sac where it is easy to park which was extremely useful for us as we had a hire car for our diving stuff. We were in the Sonne apartment, which is the one in the lower left, right next to the pool. I would imagine that this would be wonderful for sunbathing and swimming in the summer but at the time we were there it was a little too cold for this! However, the large windows let the light flood in and allowed us to open them up to let the air in on warmer days. The apartment really allowed us to set up a “home from home”. It is well equipped with a washing machine, iron, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher. We did feel that there could have been a few more pots, pans and crockery but we had enough to cope and cooked for ourselves most of the time. We also felt that a few other small improvements could be made such as including a microwave and giving the washing machine powder drawer a good clean out! However, none of this detracted from our enjoyment of the apartment or from the amount of space there is allowing us to spread out and store all our stuff away for the fortnight. We also found the owners very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our only real complaint was that the outside lights were not working properly on our arrival thus meaning we had to carry our 5 large duffel bags down two flights of stairs in near darkness. The owner did mention that this was being addressed and that we could put the pool lights on if coming back in the dark again, but we do feel that more light in that area, possibly motion activated, would make things a little safer. Even with the slight niggles we would wholeheartedly recommend the apartment we had and would happily book them again in future.

It was cold in the apartment. For those who prefer warm and sunny apartments it's better to choose apartments which are on higher levels. It might be a good place for summer, but in March it was damp and cold. There is an air conditioner, but you need to pay 1 euros for about 40 minutes.

Spacious apartment. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The Internet is super. The location is great, 5 minute walk to the sea shore, restaurants, a minimarket and a bus stop.

Very bad lighting . Especially in the bathrooms. No lights on the other side of the kitchen cupboard which was dark at night No full length mirror (made it very hard for me to do my make up with bad lighting and with a very high mirror in the living room) No microwave Outside chairs & table were missing so smoking outside was unpleasant.

Apartment is lovely and the location is great. Has 2 bathrooms which are very convenient. . Fully equipped with anything you may need . The beds are comfortable and is also a very clean apartment. The hosts were lovely and helpful. Few minor things that can easily be altered,but overall, we enjoyed our stay and we will be back again.

Checking in and out was a little inconvenient since we had to use the stairs.

The location is perfect even during winter. The place is equipped with everything, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, iron board etc. There is also an HDMI and network cable where one can connect a gaming console. Checking in and out is seamless and guests receive all the information necessary. Highly recommended!
