Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandTraveling in peak season may well tarnish this review. But as an older visitor, my club 21-30 days are over. Pool usage was very limited as it was heavily overtaken by this demographic on summer holiday doing precisely what you’d expect. Perhaps things would be very different a month later. Bellini restaurant used for breakfast and half-board didn’t live up to expectation. Breakfast was feeding time at the zoo, so again more about the people than the hotel. The quality of food at dinner was poor, so now more about them than the guests. If I did this holiday again, I’d choose to eat out or at the Prickly Pear, where the food was very good. Location is up the top of a steep hill. The town is a beach town with a bus that runs past the hotel. It’s easy to use Bolt for a taxi or to ask reception to call one. My take-away: I feel the overall experience, at this time of year, didn’t match the price of the stay, which was double that of a stay closer to Valletta for the same period. Again, this was not all down to the hotel and I’ve no doubt that it could be great at a quieter time of year.
The room was a good size with a large balcony, large room and nice bathroom. The pillows were great (choice), the place was comfortable and clean. The hotel itself was nice with different pools to choose from, although facilities a little small for the number of guests. Layout of the pool space is nicely done but the hotel still has renovation work going on and so the layout overall is impaired. Spa area did the job with welcoming staff. Prickly Pear snack bar was good. Staff at the pool bar worked hard, were multi-lingual and friendly. They had their work cut-out.

United KingdomThere was a weird smell to the room and no real windows so we couldn’t air it, when bought up to the hotel they said to put the aircon on to move the same air around the room. Also the advertising is false on how close it is to the beach, it is about a 25 minute walk down and maybe a 35 minute walk back up from the beach not a 10 minute walk as stated.
The staff were very friendly, and the pools and sauna were a really nice addition. Good aircon and offer a choice of actual duvet or just a sheet.

United KingdomThe pool area was aways crowded with people wandering in off the street using the sunbeds and pools. They also sold day passes to outsiders which left the pools crowded and dirty….I did not enter the pool in a 5 day stay. The pool area on the roof of the hotel was small enough without outsiders wandering in. The pool area manager was more concerned with not allowing white room towels on the roof rather than checking who was there. Happy hour on the roof top was carnage with parents coming to the hotel for drinks and just allowing them to run riot in the pool area whilst the got as many drinks down them as possible. Dreadful experience.
Location in the older part of town was ok. Breakfast ok. Clean room.

PolandSmall room with no view that was not prepared for our arrival. We had to wait several hours for it to be prepared even though we had informed the staff of our arrival and the room had been paid for the previous two nights.
Very helpful staff. Great view from the rooftop pools. Good breakfasts and location. Good air condition.

AustraliaThe place seems to be very disorganised. My safe didn’t work so I had to wait close to an hour before someone came to fix. Food ordered at rooftop bar was cold. I went out onto balcony once and I got locked out. Luckily I was able to WhatsApp a friend to call the hotel to ask someone to help me! Lots of staff but lacks coordination. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles with many unset tables and coffee machine not working first day. Not a great experience. For a large scale hotel it doesn’t seem like they have the capacity to professionally to cater for that amount of people.

GibraltarOur room was on the 6th floor which had a constant smell of sewage. Paid top £ to stay in hotel which they then sell day passes to the public therefore guests staying at the hotel will find it very difficult to get a space by the pool. Some reception staff are also very rude (not all, some are lovely). Aircon didn’t work half the time.

United KingdomAs a vegan, the food was very disappointing with very few options available. It would also be nice if vegetables were kept separate from meat items. Bathroom was a bit of a squeeze and the door wasn't able to fully open due to shower, had to be careful to ensure the door didn't swing back on you.
Really lovely hotel. Good location, comfy room.

HungaryOur room (Economy room) didn't have any window, no natural light. It was dark and smelly. We couldn't dry our towels. The bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable, the walls of the room are like papers. We couldn't sleep through a whole night as we could hear the other partying guests arriving back to the hotel and shouting in the night, early morning. We could hear every door shut and every tiny noise of the guests at our floor. We booked an "Economy room" as the photos on Booking.com seemed nice but they don't show the truth at all. We asked the reception whether we could change the room (pay more for a better room). On the first day, there was full house but they noted our request and said that if a better room was available, they would let us know. It turned out that they didn't do this. As one day I needed to go down to the reception to ask for towels (there was no towel left in our room by the cleaning staff), the reception lady asked me if I was still interested in a better room. I said yes, if there was any available. After checking it, she said yes, they had in the morning. They called us in the room during the day (we were not spending our time in the smelly room during the day) but they didn't try to call our phone number registered at the check-in, so they gave the better room to someone else. No matter what was our request, it was taken as nothing, we were neglected. At the check-out, the receptionist didn't even ask our experience, just said goodbye. So we are telling our opinion here. The economy room was a very bad experience for us.
There was a wide range of food at the bufe breakfast. The location of the hotel is good, close to the bus stop that brings you to the beach. The rooftop pool was nice, it has a beautiful panorama on the city. However, our room was extremely bad.

United KingdomIt was absolutely shocking. We arrived at 3am after a flight delay and the room was dirty and to top it off when we fell asleep, we were woken up by a loud bang at around 4am. The light on the ceiling suddenly came off and it caused a big noise which scared us. The dust was also nasty. I called the hotel and they didn’t even apologise or show no sympathy. They just fixed it and I asked for a room change but they declined and insisted I paid. I didn’t want to pay so I was stuck in this room for the whole week feeling quite unsafe to be honest.
The location was decent

United KingdomWe had a few issues with our stay, chief amongst which were the lifts that we could hear going BING BONG all night! They drove us crazy!! Also, the floor in our room was horribly gritty and never cleaned, the shampoo dispenser was empty, the air con was freezing and wouldn’t stay adjusted, the wifi signal was terrible, the heated indoor spa pool was cold and full of kids mucking around with inflatables and, finally, breakfast - whilst extensive - was pretty low quality and nothing was labelled.
Good location and a spacious, stylish room

United KingdomOne half of the hotel is undergoing renovation. Work and noise started before 7.30am. We were offered a room upgrade and a bottle of wine when we complained after two disturbed mornings. Staff were lovely but new room was not as good as our original. Sad that we were not warned of disruption and the hotel was still placing guests in badly impacted rooms. Outdoor pool was too busy to use.
Location great for local buses, breakfast excellent, staff friendly. Good selection of restaurants nearby. Lovely beach with good swimming.

Then we got the smallest terrace we have ever seen and I wont be returning
The beds were comfortable and hotel clean even though construction been carried out in hotel . The view from rooftop was stunning and the food from rooftop terrace was lovely.

United KingdomSometimes the indoor pool had too much chlorine, nothing else, it's a lovely hotel.
I had an issue with my room not being the one shown in the photo, a misunderstanding, which was very disappointing , so had to stay just the one night in given room, but the next night we spent in the other deluxe suite, beautiful, but warm, do beware, staff got us a large plug in ac unit, which did the trick. Any issues we had,the staff bent over backwards to make it right. Lovely hotel, just a few things that need to brought up to date in places, but they're in the middle of renovating in places. The staff thoughout the hotel, are very friendly. A tip though, I would definatly make sure staff are around to stop people 'saving' sun loungers, one group of young people saved nearly 7 of them on a daily basis and didn't come back for hours. Not on , as so many people were without a bed and wanted to lay there, very selfish. There is a nice buzz l/ atmosphere in the hotel, we have visited many times, and will be back.
